“Y'know, I think you might actually make a good cop.”
“How dare you.”

@judyflopps ♡!
Time with Judy was always limited, feeling as small as… blueberries. A hop over her shoulder was to be expected, Cotton on-top as she smiled brightly. “ Judy! Judy! You came back for the Summer Festival, right? ”
It was crowded, of course, the streets filled with rabbits of all sizes. Regardless, the little rabbit easily weaved a path as she took hold of the other’s hand; eyes looking left and right. “ What do you want to do first? We can do your favourite if you want! ”
Judy could’ve recognized that voice anywhere; no bunny was alike after all, despite common belief. She prepared for the affectionate assault that was from none other than Cotton, who claimed total ownership of her free paw. “ Hey, of course I did — I wouldn’t miss it for anything. “
Paw in paw, she lightly swung their arms while they walked along the street, scoping out all the festival had to offer. Bunnies sure got busy, she mused, for Judy couldn’t remember the last time Bunny Burrow appeared so jam-packed. Lifting her chin to view above the crowd, Judy hunted down an attraction she knew Cotton would love; making this day one the little rabbit could remember fondly would be Judy’s favorite memory in the long run. Contemplative, she wondered, “ Alright . . . how’s the bounce house sound ? Or — “ Violets flashed eagerly at the sight of corn stalks and a painted sign, dripping with blue letters. “ — ooh ! the corn field maze ! — Anybody that makes it to the other side gets a giant stuffed carrot. Cotton . . .are you up for the challenge ? “ Tone sparked with encouragement as she crouched down to her niece’s side, lightly balanced on her heels.

Judy Hopps is one hell of a cop.
In the span of 48 hours, Judy Hopps solved 14 different missing person cases, wrote 200+ parking tickets before noon, got fired TWICE, visited a nudist colony, de-railed a train, blew up a drug lab, exposed a government plot to drive predators out of Zootopia with fear tactics, got an assistant mayor arrested for treason, got the actual mayor arrested for kidnapping, became the godmother to the daughter of a gangster, and turned a con artist into a police officer and her boyfriend.

❝ I wouldn’t worry dear . He’ll come around eventually , I’m sure of it . ❞ Were these the right things to say ? Probably , since she always seemed to say the right things anyways .
Her worry must’ve been written across her expression, thin-lipped and brows furrowed. “ I hope so. I still have a lot of questions and not a lot of answers. “ They both watched in silence as the elder mouse stormed away, taking their condolences with him. The case itself was touchy; missing spouse, thought to have been dead, and her direct questions seemed to have torn open old wounds. His hardly stifled anger had caused quite the scene, with a crowd of unknowing spectators both curious and concerned. Shoulders slumped, slightly dissatisfied with what little information Judy had acquired. “ You wouldn’t happen to know him, would you? . . . Or his wife ? “

❝ This guy go missing or somethin’ ? ❞ Curiosity killed the cat so lets hope it doesn’t do the same with the dog . But hey, who can blame him ? He was a curious guy when questions were made so directly .
“ Mhm — gone without a trace. “ This marked the first week since his disappearance; nobody knows where he went or why . . . clues few and far between, and all unavailing. It was almost as if he’d up and vanished; surely this guy had to have at least some friends ? A paw gestures out a photo of the mammal, an urgent plea sparked in her tone, soft yet imploring. “ If you know anything, or maybe you just recognize him — any info would be such a big help. “

i love . .. how much of a good influence judy is??? she is so purely good that you cannot really argue against it; if she can do it, you can do it, we can do it. that we are our only limit to greatness,,, that no matter where you are, or what situation you’re in, you have the potential to become whomever you want,, & have the capabilities to turn your life around for the better. LITERALLY. you can turn your entire world ON ITS AXIS, & completely reinvent yourself. while it’s good / important to be realistic,, reality doesn’t necessarily have to be a resistance. pave your own path, build your own reality, because dreams don’t have to stay dreams. judy will !!! support everyone. because everyone deserves a chance to prove themselves. and everyone deserves happiness.

I have a n ee d… a ship were someone kind of leads Judy on. Interactions filled with flattery, empty promises of calls she’ll never receive, consistently pulling her along on a string of a guessing game. Making her feel special, wanted, admired, while all the same keeping her at a distance, always taunting that sort of control Judy doesn’t quite realize they’ve achieved over her. Late night talks and texts on the daily going suddenly into radio silence on the dime.
Judy isn’t all too familiar with … courtship and romantic relationships ( except from rom com films fhsjak ), so this twisted pinning is … a need. She’ll try her hardest not to care when she’s put on edge, but she can’t help but care, just about every little thing. A relationship, if it could even be called one, that she puts way too much energy into to navigate: getting excited about notifications on her phone, only for them to come up in blanks, or going to certain places in hopes of seeing them. Just, someone whose crawled under her skin that she can’t help but think about, and their fatal attraction just throws her through a loop; it’ll really dig into her confidence. Of course, Judy deserves so much more than this sleazy romance, but she doesn’t quite know any better ( to a degree ), especially when in the midst of it. She’d be easily discombobulated by it all, guard down ( not that there really is one in the first place ), but just shady enough that it doesn’t alarm her, getting right through her naivety.
Just !!!!! Ruin Her.

Speak of the Devil
And he appears. In this case, SHE. Cornering a rodent, a faint squeak escaped calling for help but a quick claw ACROSS THE THROAT never failed in SILENCING his meal. Tongue lapped over the wound, maw taking in and drinking every droop until the mouse bled dry. They were tiny, EASY in every aspect, but he always craved something bigger but still SMALLER than him. Later, he’d cook his new meal. For now, he stored the small body in a just as small compact, cooler and slipped it into his coat.
Then along came a woman. A POLICE woman. Fur like his own, vibrant eyes for lovely contrast and a build— he wouldn’t have a PROBLEM taking down. IF she weren’t from the law. TYPICAL. Nick may not follow the law but he had a set of his own rules. COPS WERE OFF THE MENU. Tongue cleaned up the traces of crimson off his palm, letting out a light whimper, faking an injury. “Evening Officer,” he greeted, rising from his CROUCHED position and slipping on his gloves, “I don’t believe I’ve seen you BEFORE.”
Another day, another shift of doing what she loved best; protecting the city from bad guys for the good guys, with the core goal of making the world a better place. Simple in hindsight, but the notion took a lot more effort when put into action, not that it deterred Judy in anyway. And neither did the sight of a ashen-furred fox, seemingly alone as she crossed paths of the entrance to an alleyway. It was a trained second nature to stop at any notice of suspicious activities, yet Judy knew she had no reason to suspect ill of the fox, despite the sinister surroundings.
However, she’d stopped to investigate all the same, but tried to excuse her actions as a step of precaution. “ Probably not — I’m actually new on the force. “ Words were spoken politely as violet eyes bore curiously at the fox, until with a start, Judy noted his grim expression. ” Oh! Are you hurt? I have bandages if you need any, and they probably work a lot better than gloves . . . “ Judy’d rushed forward, paws raised to help at any sign of approval, however disquieted by the oddness of this sudden interaction. A furrow formed between her brow, voice softened by a combination of concern — and the unease of injury. Blood was never a good sign. “ . . . What happened ? “
