Me: *sees my stuffed animal on the floor next to my bed*
Me: Why wasn't I a better parent
*being murdered*
finally
*is reincarnated as myself*
why
And sometimes it’s easier to not say anything at all because if I do then only I am in the wrong…
men in greek mythology? scoundrels. just terrible. woeful social skills. murderers. kidnappers. violent misogynists. most of them… never described as handsome so we have to assume they were ugly.
narcissus? unproblematic. beacon of transformative self love. king of the swerve. gay icon. couldn’t recognize his reflection but neither can my dog, we aren’t holding that against him.
Narcissus wrote this
I refuse to believe Narcissus could read.
i’ve been thinking about this response for the better part of 2 hours and it hasn’t gotten less hysterically funny to me
Me: I love this person...so much....they're such an important part of my life...I wouldn't be the same without them....how can I convey that to them?
Me:
Me:
Me: *sends them a meme out of nowhere at 2am* perfect
what I say: I’m fine…
what I mean: why did mike wazowski say ‘you’ve been jealous of my good looks since the fourth grade, pal’ to sulley in monsters inc, but they actually met in college at monsters university, which was many years after he claimed it in the first film?
education is the domestication of human beings
Before COVID shut the library down, I was helping a little boy and his mom find books.
“What do you like to read about?” I asked. “Dinosaurs!” This is common request, but can mean different things, “Okay. Do you want a story about dinosaurs, or facts about dinosaurs?” “Facts.” I took him to the dinosaur section (567.9) of the juvenile nonfiction. He picked out a couple books, and I asked him if there was anything else he was looking for. “Do you have anything on DNA?” I had to think about that for a second. “I think so…but I’ll have to look it up.” The boy beamed, “I want to find out how DNA works, so I can bring them back!” “We just saw Jurassic Park,” his mom explained with a smile that did not waver when she added, “We didn’t learn anything.”
YOU KNOW WHAT MOMENT GETS ME
When Luke says: “She sees in me who I can be, not just the dude I think I am. When someone sees you like that, you want them looking at you forever.”
AND THEN GRIZZ MAKES THIS FACE. THIS ONE, RIGHT HERE OFFICER.
WHEN HE COMES TO THE CONCLUSION THAT HE COULDN’T CARE LESS ANYMORE AND HE’S GOING TO GO AFTER THE CUTE BOY HE’S ALWAYS DISTANCED HIMSELF FROM SO THAT HE WOULDN’T DEVELOP FURTHER FEELINGS.
AND THEN IT CUTS TO HIM WALKING INTO THE LIBRARY AND SIGNING IN BSL INSTEAD OF ASL IN AN ATTEMPT TO IMPRESS SAID CUTE BOY. AND THEN THEY FLIRT AND I-
