Pronunciation
My two favorite singers are Kyo (Dir en grey/sukekiyo) and Sono (Matenrou Opera/Unmei Kousaten)
Both have a very different pronunciation and I love both their way of doing it for different aspects of it.
Kyo was born and raised in Kyoto, he has a strong Kansai dialect and he’s very proud of it. One of the very strongly present features of this is his slurring, something he’s quite famous for. I like the way it sounds but what I like most is what it does when he puts in the effort to sing with clear enunciation. Because he has a tendency to slur his consonants have a very delicate sound somewhere between very pronounced but also very soft when he enunciates them more clearly and I really love that. My favorite sounds of his are
-か け き こ く
-さ し す せ そ
-た ち つ -ふ
-て と
-じ ず
As for Sono he has a very particular way of pronouncing vowels, for whatever reason. Speculations range from ‘’he used to move around a lot as a kid so he may have picked up on a lot of accents’’ to ‘’it’s a result of his unique style of singing’’ (and the more extreme rumors he may be foreign) and I may never know what it really is but I’m very fond of it. So my favorite sounds of his would be his vowels as well as the ん sound and what the っ sound does to his vowels. I also like his ひ sound and those in the ば and ま row because he has a more nasal voice and it just does something really nice to those sounds. Songs I would recommend so you can hear these features well in both their voices would be: For kyo -Hakudaku (Adoratio) by sukekiyo -Ruten no Tou Acoustic ver. (Sustain the Untruth) by Dir en grey -304 Goushitsu, Shita to Yoru (Anima) by sukekiyo For Sono -Tengoku no Aru Basho (AVALON) -Beyond the Sorrow (PANTHEON -PART2-) -Apoptosis (Justice) And I adore the first ひ in the first word in this song a lot <3 -Invisible Chaos (Invisible Chaos)
Graceful sound.
The songs of PANTHEON PART 2 have been gathered a while back. They’re still stuck on my iPhone, but will be delivered soon to the other members. The melody is truly great! It seems to have a good arrangement and feelings of good response. It’s alright because it’s packed with so much! Or, more of, it’s like a transcendental skill. Heave-ho! When a sharp melody is created, the melody will also soothe the sound. As of tomorrow, the official recording starts of the new songs. I will become a demon director.
And, as for the situation with the Europe tour - it never leaves my mind, and I do not feel good about it. I am truly angry that this couldn’t be carried out professionally, and handled as adults. I truly want to do something. Though it will take time, in the future, I hope to correct this someday.
Furthermore, Matenrou Opera will head into recording tomorrow, but we are also rehearsing for the live on the 7/22 @ROSE FES. It feels like a lot of feelings will come back out of nostalgia, as it’s oriented with the same staff, crew, and members of Sherow Artist Society connected to Versailles. Since this is a festival, let’s have a neverending amount of fun!

To all the parties involved, and the fans rooting for Matenrou Opera, we apologize for all the enormous worrying and inconvenience this has caused. This is the result based on repeated meetings between the members and the entire staff.

SILENT SCREAM.
Self Liner Notes PT. 9 SILENT SCREAM (サイレントスクリーム)
This song holds a tune of the Neo-classical metal, which we picked up once more after a long time. This song goes hand in hand with the Vocal melody it is accompanied by, and it performs the sensation of being in the same position as the musical instruments.
For this song I did not follow any certain tone, but rather my own tone of color and emotion instead from within.
Since I can not write dark lyrics as of late, I struggled a lot with this song. While I was worried I couldn’t write, I pictured a nightmare-scenario. So I instantly thought, “This is it!” (笑) However, nightmares are supposed to be more painful than reality, and feeling the need to destroy a nightmare and return to reality. Is the salvation really coming back to reality, rather than continuing to see the nightmare? This is the view of the lyrics.

Not even sure why I made this. I think I just wanted to watch his mouth.
“CHIKYU” Self-liner-notes PT. 7 Aoku Toumei na Kono Shinpi no Umi e - This mysterious clear sea of blue. The melody is produced by Guitar and Key, A-melody’s song’s melody, B-melody’s singing melody, and the sudden B-Dash of the melody.. Somehow, this song was composed spinning together in melodies. There is no relationship between these melo. I simply wanted to make a sudden cut somewhere in the melody, and create this type of song. A song with no rules.
What spoke to me with this song is that I wanted to strip it bare and throw it around. Furthermore, this song has a foreign, exotic type of tune, kind of metal-pop-rock. (笑) I love mixing all types of music, so it felt like Adult Play.*
What I thought then, was that once the details were set, I got the full image of a World by Sono. The lyrics describe a man releasing his feelings diving into a big stage, calling out to Earth.
*Adult Play - An expression sometimes used to describe activities a child is prohibited to do (drinking, kyabakura, sex, pachinko, etc).
“CHIKYU” Self-liner-notes PT. 6 Goodbye My World - Ayame is the composer. The impulse of wanting to make exciting sounds during a live, is more than likely what created such an image for this song. There is a temperature difference through the intro to the high point of the song (Hook), which I interestingly thought, sounded super wacky.
The lyrics, hold the meaning of feeling daily fatigue and frustration. But then, draws hard working people towards the relaxing holidays to “Reset”. As I am sure this is how many people feel, I may also now and then feel the same.
Once you say “Goodbye” to everything and forget, you can work hard once more as the New you! I feel that for us, this is the familiar feeling we feel while playing live music - it is the feeling of “Resetting” ourselves.

“CHIKYU” Self-liner-notes PT. 5 君と見る風の行方 -The Destination of the Wind I saw with You. This song was composed as the “Wind” of the five Elements of the Earth. It was the feeling of dashing through the wind, running, refreshment, and the knowledge that it is the surface of the earth and of people, stroking what’s beneath it in a tender manner. This is what got me into thinking of wind.
The rustic-like melody was present, which is what we used in the previous single as well. There was a warmth stemming from this composition in particular. I remember that while writing the song, we thought, “This is the melody of the Wind!” while we were trying to compose Wind.
The following is the story of the lyrics. When I began writing the lyrics, the night sky was my view and I was listening to music. The sky was so starry, and it was absolutely breath taking.
Followed by the starry sky becoming visible, there was this feeling of wanting to swim within the wind. Therefore, the sensation of the wind stroking the surface of the earth and its people is what I came to write down.
I thought of the black things that swarm above us, sucking us in, spreading across the earth’s surface. So I thought, I want to purify the blackness with this wind, to leave hope, and for the earth to sparkle.
This is just a little insight to my writing that I thought, this is my “Wind.” The lyrics also felt a little fantasy-like, and Ayame used the harmonica. I feel that through these elements, this was unavoidably what we wanted.
