Mr Rupert Roo
Sue and Runty lost beautiful Mr Rupert Roo at 12.07 on Saturday 4th April 2026. He went peacefully at home after suffering for several months with mesenteric tumours. Mr Rupert was especially fond of Sue (top dog); they spent a great deal of time together since we collected him as a puppy from the Evesham Dogs Trust in 2017. Rupert was originally named Dandy by the Trust; he was found on the streets in Ireland where according to the Trust he was kicked by children when living on the streets with his mother. He had a super life with us and on 4 occasions he travelled (by car) to our 2nd home in Carvoeiro, where he was known to lead the pack of my daughters dogs in chases around the orchard. Rupert had a Portuguese passport so he could travel with us in Europe; though we were never sure that he ever mastered the language.
Sleep well our beautiful friend; play with Jack (Wilkins) who will be waiting for you. Barney and Rosie will show you the way if you are worried; we will be fine when the tears stop. Until we meet again my lovely friend; the pack misses your calm presence, sense of fair play and manners. We have your tennis balls so feel free to visit us anytime you can.
Sue and Runty xxxxxxxx
