The premise of minimum wage, when it was introduced, was that a single wage earner should be able to own a home and support a family.  That was what it was based on; a full time job, any job, should be able to accomplish this.

The fact people scoff at this idea if presented nowadays, as though the people that ring up your groceries or hand you your burgers don’t deserve the luxury of a home and a family, is disgusting.

Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

No, no good reasons, really! I'm just lazy and my wardrobe is now full of things like pants that fit normally and shirts with stripes on them (and who wants to look at that). Thank you though!

What happened to your outfit blog? :( I feel like I used to spend a lot of time reading blogs when fashion blogs became very popular but grew frustrated reading most of them when I tried to reconcile with my international development studies at school and overwhelming interest in fashion/materialism. I've never stopped enjoying your blog though! I've always found your reflections and posts to be really nice and really refreshing.

This makes me happy :) Thank you. I'm not sure I'll be posting soon, since I've suddenly become very drab. But maybe!

It’s sort of like if you have two kids, and you give one of them a cookie and the other one half a cookie.
