ALIAS: Juliette Hawthorne AGE: Twenty-Seven BIRTHPLACE: Bayfield, Wa NEIGHBORHOOD: Waterfront EMPLOYMENT: Nurse Owener of Deja Brewery FACE CLAIM: Zoey Deutch
trigger warnings; death, accidental death, foster care.
For years, Juliette suppressed her hopes and dreams. Burying them so deep within, the woman often times wondered herself if they even still existed. Because hiding behind a lie was more accessible than facing the truth, a truth that had gotten her abandoned and forgotten. At the young age of seven, the little girl had discovered her desire to help others. Living in a small town in New Mexico, where the air was as dry as the ground below, she’d been playing with her parents and younger brother. The sweet sounds of a child’s giggle escaping her lips as her parents looked on, a sense of serenity surrounding them all. But as easy as that feeling arose within them, it came to an end the moment the wind had begun to pick up. The little girl with her striking dark locks was crying, her toy taken by her older brother. But that wasn’t what had caught her parents attention, instead, it was the howling wind now circling them, focusing in on the younger child and with such bad luck, he tripped. It was the force of the fall that had snapped his neck, as he collapsed, crumpling his small body and her parents never forget what happened next. A young Juliette wandered over, tears brimming her eyes as hands outstretched towards him. It was clear from his limp form that something was gravely wrong, but Juliette wished to help him, and her parents never stopped blaming her for the accident.
It was years later that she’d found herself in the foster care, no one caring for the girl with strange talents and an even more obscure past.
After leaving the system, Juliette worked as a waitress part-time to put herself through school. It was only her stubborn personality that kept her going, ignoring whatever feelings were brewing inside her and for years she managed. Making it through college, she applied for nursing school and then attained a job at the local hospital in Bayfield. It finally seemed as if all her hard work had paid off and her past was forgotten. In Bayfield she found a new home, making friends that turned into family and finally settling into the better life she’d always wanted.
During her first year working, Juliette met Henry, an older man who owned Deja Brew. It seemed the two just clicked, and the woman never understood why until she found out that Henry used to be her father’s best friend back in the day. It seemed she had finally found her connection to the past, and Henry became sort of an adoptive Uncle to Jules. But through Henry, she met Samuel, his son and her future fiance. Their romance happened fast, and with the support of the town and even Henry, the two got engaged and set a date. But on the day of the wedding, Samuel never showed, and Juliette never received a call or an answer why he left her waiting. It has been three years since then.
It was only recently that Henry passed, and to her surprise, left her the brewery. Not that Juliette knew anything about beer, besides it tasted good, but she felt a responsibility. A certain expectation to help keep the place running in his memory, and so she left her nursing job to start fresh and make this brewery better than it has ever been.

He’s toxic. His smile will poison you. His boyish charm dangerous. The glint in his eyes as he challenges you to do something devious is lethal.

katherine.
Katherine seen the woman come in a few times before and while neither woman had ever been feeling chatty this time Katherine took pity on the other woman. She looked exhausted and like she needed a friendly face. Katie hadn’t meant to scare her, only offer her a cupcake. Has far as the baker was concerned pastries were the best solution for any problem. “I… Oh sorry. I didn’t mean to scare you.” In fact, when the woman jumped it had startled Katie as well and she had to center herself. “I just thought you might like this,” she said, sliding the plate and cupcake closer.
It wasn’t that Juliette didn’t believe in the kindness of others, just that it wasn’t often that she found it in the citizens of Bayfield. Yet here she sat, a complete stranger sliding a cupcake towards her with a smile. It was enough to cause a twitch of her lips, the corners turning up into a smile. “Thank you.” Fingers pressed into the foil of the wrapper, dancing across the alumni =n before she turned her gaze fully towards the woman. “I’m Juliette, and I’m pretty sure you just became my best friend.”

All good things must come to an end ft. @pagingjules
It’s late - well not late, but for Jacqui, who preferred to wrapped up in silky sheets by 9 o’clock, being out this late was certainly something else. And traveling out of the comfort and lavish of Cathedral Heights would prove an interesting feat as her Uber takes her to the address she’d known but never dared to actually approach. Juliette’s. She’s nervous, absolutely, but her talk with James has spurred her into action.
She doesn’t want him to be blamed for keeping her a secret - and it’s been long enough. Jacqui has to meet her sister, and it’s going to be tonight. Maybe. She’s been standing at the entrance of Juliette’s apartment building for at least 20 minutes in the freezing cold, and she can’t will herself to enter.
Even as December came and went, leading into a darker January, it seemed the cold took no prisoners as Juliette moved from her car to doorstep. Hell, it was freezing, and the woman had three layers on. Talk about a mess, but as held key in hand, ready to disappear into a pile of blankets and at least two bowls of popcorn, she was greeted by another.
“Uh, hello?” She calls, coming up behind them as her keys jingle, the sound echoing. “Were you looking for someone, perhaps Charlotte or James?” Brows drew together, as she paused just a few feet away, studying the oddly familiar woman. “Are you alright?”
charlie.
Bayfield embodied this small town American charm that the woman had never really experienced before. She had lived in tiny villages in remote parts of the world, but this was different. Charlie had been the new person in town more times than she could count. Being new here almost felt obvious. It seemed like everyone new she hadn’t been here very long at all, almost like it was written on her face. The brunette was exploring the town when she decided to stop in for some coffee. Her eyes grazed the only empty seat, bext to the only familiar face in this town. “Gosh,” She laughed softly, not meaning to scare the woman at all. “Sorry for sneaking up on you. You don’t mind if I sit?”
Maybe she was in a daze, lost between one moment and the next; either way, it didn’t matter. It seemed reality waited for no one as her subconscious was brought back to earth and she pushed her lips into a smile. “Charlie, hey.” She says, scooting her chair a few inches away to allow the woman some room of her own. “It’s okay, I was kinda just staring anyways.” Not really thinking, but also not, yeah, dwelling was an odd action. “How are you today? Get a chance to try their scones, really something else.”
