“you can add whatever you want to the list, babe, i’m not gonna stop you.” poppy took a sip of her pink lemonade when juliette lifted her own glass, humming as the sugar in the cool drink made her taste buds dance. “you’re a genius! that sounds like a total blast, i’m totally gonna go bikini shopping after this. wanna come with?” 

“ with  a  boat ,  you  can  go  anywhere  -- mexico , the  caribbean ,  the bahamas ... ”  she  rambled ,  before  taking  out  her  phone  to  message  the  staff  that  worked  on  her  yacht  to  ask  about  their  availability ( as  she  would  never  just  call  on  them  to  drop  everything ) “ yes , of  course  -  i  need  some  cute  cover ups  too  .... and  some  things  to  wear  in  the  night .  a  whole  new  wardrobe  basically. ”  she  replied  with  a  laugh .

poppy hummed, picking her fork up again to stab at one of the pieces of tortellini in her bowl, taking a bite as she thought over some of her favorite vacation spots from the past, as well as some that she’d always wanted to try. “what about cabo? i think the city was like, invented for girl’s trips. the beaches always look so nice in all the modeling shots i’ve seen. and it’s like, spring break central, you know? i bet we could totally find some hotties to party with while we’re down there.” 

“ oh  i  love  cabo .  can  i  add  cancun  &  acapulco  to  the  list . ” she  suggested ,  picking  up  her  third  mimosa  and  taking  a  sip .  you  have  to  love  bottomless  brunches .  she  used  her  fork  to  push  the  rest  of  her  lunch  around  her  plate , before  an  idea  struck  her.  “ what  if  we  just  took  my  dad ‘s  .... i  mean ,  my  yacht ? ”  she  suggested ,  as   she  dabbed  her  lips  with  a  napkin .  “  that  way  we  can  hit  multiple  destinations  &  the  insta  posts  would  be  to  die  for . ”

𝐠𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐧 𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐮𝐞𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬  ;   Riven’s cut brow arched at her poor choice of words or was it the twenty-three years of his brain festering in the marsh of the cut? Yeah, it was probably his gutter of a mind. “Here, I thought you upper-class would be more careful with your choice of words.” Riven’s lips tiffed a pfft at the end as his lower back lent on the railing awaiting for the grocery store to open. “Should’ve gone for viosterol - pretty much the same meaning and won’t have a pogue like me thinking like the caveman we are.” Dumbing himself back down to the level most believe the pogues to be at. 

hearing  someone  elses  voice ,  she  looked  over  her  shoulder  and  narrowed  her  eyes .  “  my  poor  choice  of .... ”  she was  a  little  confused  at  first ,  but  then  it  hit  her .  she  gave  roll  of  her  eyes  before nodding  her head  slowly .  “ oh ,  i  get  it ... ”  she  added , giving  him a  subtle  look  of  disgust .  “ maybe  you  should  get  your  mind  out  of  the  gutter  & try  living  in  2021  where  judging  someone  by  their  class  is  fifty  shades  of  fucking  pathetic . ”  she  replied ,  her  arms  crossing  over  her  chest .  even  though  most  of  her  friends  did ,  she  never  judged  anyone  on  their  class ,  upbringing  or  background .

“that’s what i’m saying, there’s nothing that can’t be solved with some good facials.” the winter weather was just tragic all around, all abigail wanted to do was stay in all day and protect herself from it’s cold temperatures. “i’m not sure, but i’m sure we can book the longest one possible, hot stones and everything.”

“  and  then  after  all  that , i’m  going  to  allow  myself  to  melt  in  the  jacuzzi  with  a  bottle  of  bubbly . ”  she  replied ,  closing  her  eyes  &  allowing  herself  to  just  imagine  how  relaxed  she  would  be  after  that. “  i’m  thinking  a  sea  salt  facial  &  a  seaweed  wrap  too ...” her  eyes  found  her  friends  as  she  gave  her  an  excited  grin . “  shall  i  check  their  availability  for  this  afternoon ? ”

“you know what we should do?” with a small, excited clap, poppy set her fork back down on the napkin beside her plate, looking back at juliette with a warm grin. “girl’s trip! i’m totally overdue, and it’d be so much fun! we can sit on a beach, drink mai tais, and get the cutest pics for instagram!” 

as  she  popped  a  slice  of  grilled  chicken  into  her  mouth ,  she  covered  it  with  her  hand  as  it  spread  into  an  excited  grin.  she  had  been  putting   of  a  break  for  so  long (  because of  her  whole  rehab  stint   ,  the  press  has  a field  day  whenever  she  leaves  the  outer  banks  ) . “  a  girls  trip  sounds  like  heaven  right  now ,  what  destinations  are  we  thinking  -- on  the  beach  of  course ... ”

‘‘you should be careful with what you say in this part of town. i’ve seen people take their pants down on sight, when someone were looking for vitamin d. granted, it’s childish, but it is what it is,’‘ he chuckled. ‘‘for what it’s worth, I think you have beautiful skin. doesn’t look dry at all, but i’m keeping a comfortable distance,’‘ kiaan mused, feet against the railing at the cut, chilling after his shift in front of the boats parked. the view wasn’t too shabby after dinner, too.

as  much  as  she  fought  it ,  a  smirk  spread  across  her  face  in  reaction  to  his  reply -  it  was  her  type  of  humour .  she  quickly  straightened  her  face  though ,  before  brushing  a  hand  through  her  thick  blonde  hair .  “  i would  expect  no  less . ” she  replied  flatly ,  before  giving  him  a  look  to  say  that  she was  just  joking. “ well ,  thank  you  babes -  but  it’s  all  an  illusion ,  in  the  form  of  tinted  moisturiser. ”  she  replied  with  a  laugh , before  looking  out  at  the  boats.

“which is why i’m saying we need to go and set up an appointment for a spa day. masks, massages, new nails, everything. we need a vacation though, stat.”

the  blonde  gasped , pressing  both  of  her  hands  to  her  chest .  “  a  spa day ... ”  she  hummed , before closing  her  eyes &  giving  her  closest  friend  a  smile. “  what’s  the  longest  massage  you  can  have ,  i  feel  that  will solve  all  of  my  problems. ”
