it's amazing to me how my photography has evolved totally of its own accord.. like my photos are an extension of what I love & they have really become the counterpart to my writing. I'm proud of the lil things I make, even though I only share a small portion. I do it purely for my own pleasure and I get so much satisfaction out of the whole thing
There are no magic words that come without a consequence.
Snow in spring seems the likeliest thing as earth hurdles toward her blistering end-
but I still want silence and ferris wheels
and blue skies and long drives home.
The hum of the bugs on the screen door makes you wonder if it's really all been lost.
Life continues on because it finds a way-
It may not be in the form of human minds but in the dragonflies that fly in the haze and the trees so grand and green and tall, they touch heaven.
The all or nothing moment has passed,
so we sit back on the lawn chairs and watch as the world finally reaches the darkened end.
There are no fireworks or explosions,
the last moments are quiet and unknowing.
Part of an ongoing ode to star spangled summers and heatwaves in the deepest part of July.
