Practice makes ‘perfect’ (Closed - Yamaguchi Tadashi)
themisarcher:
Having just started his slightly wary, cautious investigation of this new area - as he strode along, a fact he had not yet considered dawned on Hugh - mainly, the fact that if this was an experiment, surely the people in charge would have taken something away from him other than the company of Juniper and Robin, no? Surely they’d take any weapons he had as well? No - on inspection, his wooden bow and arrows were still in the usual carry case he toted around. Well, to be honest: some part of him wasn’t surprised. Not like ‘wooden’ bows and arrows could do much.
Probably was a good idea to at least keep his aim sharp before continuing on - he really didn’t have the best of impressions on the ‘safety’ of this place. Taking a few glances around for something he could use for target practise, he spotted some small soda cans carelessly tossed to the ground. Ah. If he just carefully moved to one of the many alleyways of this place, those would do just the trick.
Taking the soda cans in hand, he moved along with them to the alleyway. At very least, it helped vent off inner worry and frustration at being separated form the friends he’d just reconciled with. Taking the bow out, he fired one arrow, then another. Both cans were struck right in the middle, clattering back to the ground with a thud. Though, before he could draw another arrow, Hugh slowly became aware of another set of eyes on him. Sighing, Hugh didn’t even turn around as he spoke.
“Oy, you, watching me. It’s dangerous to be so close to someone firing arrows, you know. Unless you particularly want to resemble a pincushion.”
A bit of a sassy reply, there…but he honestly didn’t want to hurt an innocent bystander and was concerned about the guy standing that close. He used that snark to cover it and not sound ‘overly concerned’. Or at least tried to.
Yamaguchi found the other by chance, honestly. He was walking to his apartment, only to find somebody with a bow and arrow shooting at something. Of course, this wasn’t normal, and he wanted to investigate. Well, not really investigate- more like ‘stare at in silence’.
He was sure he wouldn’t be caught. He was hiding behind a large tree, after all. It seemed to be no use, though. Yamaguchi was spotted. It caught him so off guard, he even jumped a few feet, and responded a bit too loud.
“S-Sorry, sir! Just observing, sir!”
Yamaguchi could probably be mistaken as somebody who was formerly part of the military with how stiff he was standing combined with what he just said.
