the price to pay ❖ oikawa
A clear objective was set before her, discover the meaning of unity. She could deal with that, unity brings people together after all, but the prospect of being attached to another person and being able to feel their emotions bothered her greatly. It was not that she was worried for her sake, but for her partner's. While Peko had never been one to show her emotions openly, this person would be plagued with her doubts, her fears, her insecurities and her innermost thoughts whether they liked it or not and that was what bothered her. For someone to have to deal with her demons didn't seem fair, especially if they were a good person. Thinking optimistic should have been the logical thing to do, but the she couldn't shake the feeling that this would turn out to be bad..not now, but eventually.
She raises her wrist now, tracing her fingers over the brand that now lie there. To think that this thing was connecting her to someone seemed absurd. They could probably feel her nervousness right about now. How embarrassing. Shoes made quiet thumps as she paced around the room she'd been assigned. She waited for them, she wanted to see them, tell them that she was sorry that this had to happen. Sorry that they had gotten stuck with her. It was truly unfortunate that they had not received a better partner.
And at last after what seemed like forever, the door to room 1T slowly began to open. Someone was coming into the room and all at once, Peko could feel her heart drop to her stomach and a lump in her throat. They were here. They were finally here. Crimson eyes now fell on her partner, a male. Not much taller than herself and he had..quite a beautiful face. She stood there, saying nothing at first. She let the silence speak for her. He could surely feel what she was feeling right now. Doubt, fear, nervousness, all of the emotions welled within her. And then their eyes meet only for her to break contact soon after.
❝ ...I apologize, ❞ her words break the silence between the both of them now. ❝ I don't quite know what to say other than that. ❞ her tone was apologetic, truly she wished better for him. ❝ Though I suppose it doesn't matter. We're going to be together..for a long time. So I'll find the words that I wish to say to you. ❞ and with that, she forces a small smile onto her face as she addresses him now. ❝ ..Oikawa-san. ❞
