Hello! And welcome to what will be the sixth year of Gaara Week! A Gaara only weekly challenge leading up to his birthday! This weekly challenge will start on the 12th of January and run until Gaara’s Birthday on the 19th of January.

Feel free to draw, write, make, cosplay, sing, dance, take screenshots, make gifs, whatever you want! As long as it has something to do with each separate day’s theme, and you create it yourself.

A PSA FOR TEACHERS

I bought some ear defenders last week, as the loudness of one of my classes was too much for me to handle anymore. The teacher in that class is completely fine with that because she knows that it’s too loud for me. In another class I had written a letter to the teacher before school started about how loud things can make me nervous and cause sensory overload. She understands that I need the headphones too.

BUT there was one teacher last week who didn’t understand. It’s the last class of the day. And when school had started she said headphones are strictly forbidden no matter what, even if it was quiet time and everybody was just doing work. Yes, I respect that so I didn’t put my earphones in or any other headphones that actually play music. But last week the class was too loud. Usually it’s never that loud. And on top of that I had a horrible headache because her lights are too bright. For some reason she’ll understand that but not this. I had put the ear defenders on, you can clearly see they’re not headphones that play music. I got them from a hardware store! There are no wires or anything. And this is what happened.

Teacher: honey you have to take those off. No headphones are allowed, you know that.

Me: they aren’t headphones that play music. They just muffle sound. It’s too loud in here.

Teacher: you gotta take them off. No headphones are allowed. Take them off please.

Even after I explained to the teacher what they actually were and why I needed them, they still made me take them off. My headache got worse and I couldn’t do any work. I ended up sitting there with my hands over my eyes because it was too bright. And being in pain because the class was too loud. I have accommodations to leave class early. So if you see that you should understand why I need ear defenders.

So i know there’s SOME teachers on this app. So if you guys see this. Listen. To. Your students. PLEASE. Not every student is the same. If they’re having trouble because of the environment then allow them to do what they need to do in order to be more comfortable.
