Did you know if you send your Roomba in for service, they ask if you want a repair or a placement? Because so many people get attached to their Roomba and name it and treat it like a family member.

Books & Nooks It rained yesterday, which never happens at this time of the year in California. Made me feel all cozy~
And of course it’s raining on the inside… where the books are…
Is Owen a flawed parent? Yes. The shit he's said to TK pisses me the fuck off and TK deserves better. I don't think he's horrible though. There's not a doubt in my mind that he loves TK. I think that sometimes he gets so wrapped in his trauma that he fails to consider that TK does need his dad. Like just because TK is almost 30, just because Owen was absent in TK's life doesn't mean that he doesn't matter to TK. TK does need him. Also his whole hero complex and survivor's guilt don't help. Owen thinks he's only needed when things are bad, but the 126 were right in 2x10 when they said he's always needed, in the good and the bad. Owen needs to work on himself and his relationships and I hope in season 4 he puts in more effort with TK and puts in effort to be there for him at his happiest.
I have hope that they're going to give us something good on this in season 4. Rewatching has made me realize that the distance between Owen and TK that increased in season 3 actually started in season 1. I think Owen not telling TK about his cancer was something that signaled the start of this distance between them. When Owen is struggling, he has a hard time confiding in anyone about it or even admitting it to himself. However, I think it's hardest for him to let his son see his struggles and his vulnerabilities.
Owen has been struggling a lot, especially in late season 2 and season 3, and he is very often in denial about this. That fact in itself can create a distance between him and TK because Owen wants to avoid situations in which TK will be able to see his struggles or maybe even call him out. On more than one occasion, Owen has avoided spending time with TK upon TK's invitation, usually because Owen is dealing with something he wants to keep bottled up. And we clearly know that Owen has a very hard time being honest with TK about his health. Even after Owen tells TK the truth about his cancer in season 1, we see this again in season 2 with the surgery and then in season 3 with the spot on his lung.
Importantly, I think it's also clear that Owen recognizes this about himself and wants to do something about it. Owen states his intention to do better in 3x16, but I think his desire to do better is also shown in the 3x18 scene between Owen and Tommy in Owen's office. Owen is sitting there in his office upset that, instead of telling TK about the spot on his lung like he knows he should have, he told TK he needed to grow up, stop acting like a child, and get a will. Owen, recognizing that this has been an issue between them in the past, wanted to be honest with his son about his health and had intended to do so. He didn't quite manage it here, but I'm hoping they will pick up with this in season 4 and we will see Owen do better. They've set things up perfectly for this, so I'm hoping it will pay off.
I will never get over someone saying “I will take the thing you love most away from you,” and not once, until it was ALMOST TOO LATE, did he consider that this meant TK.
