Introduction

Hello, this is an introduction to me / my system / this page.

I experience feeling like multiple people, I haven’t received a diagnosis for that but I am diagnosed with autism. The experience of feeling like multiple people is very confusing for me, I post about it to try and comfort myself in the absurdity.

I’m bigender / genderqueer and go by he/she. I am a stoner and psychonaut, I like making art and music, and Littlest Pet Shops and mushrooms give me a lot of comfort. My special interest has been Bojack Horseman for about 5 years. I love psychology and philosophy, I’m actually studying psychology in college right now! I’ve been really into Orange is the New Black lately.

I believe in equity. I wouldn’t call myself an advocate but I am someone who wants to listen and learn and uplift perspectives that are often ignored. I am committed to being anti-racist and fighting transphobia and transmisogyny.

Due to my weird childhood and my weird brain, I have this very unhelpful compulsion to conceal Everything I do from Everyone. I Cannot be observed performing any action, no matter how mundane. My nervous system is convinced I'm gonna, like, Get In Trouble for eating food at dinnertime or sleeping in my bed at bedtime.

I've taken to asking myself, "Okay does this task actually require subterfuge or am I stealing a balloon on Free Balloon Day"

Feeling like I’m in kid brain mode is scary sometimes but my room is pretty geared towards that need and I’m happy about that, cute plushies genuinely ground me a lot and I feel the positive energy filling my chest when I stare at them

Feeling calm after work… half calm. Slightly anxious about school but my body wants to be calm so I’m letting it. At least trying to. (Adi / Damien)

Being mindful is a complicated thing for me. Since I am autistic I feel like my brain processes everything all at once if I let myself be fully mindful, but dissociation is also a problem I experience a lot so I want to be mindful. But the dissociation protects me from sensory and emotional overload, so it’s kind of a neverending cycle. (Atlas)

I try to be mindful when I’m in calm moments like being at home with no one else around, but I’ve noticed the past few days to weeks I’ve been just scrolling reels or doing mindless tasks and not wanting to do anything, which is a warning sign that my depression is going to come as a wave again, and I’ve also found it hard to answer people’s messages lately which is another warning sign. Honestly I don’t know if it’s depression or autistic burnout (Allyssa)

Bruh I feel so confused about my connection to a certain person… it would be a lot easier if I didn’t only know him online. He hasn’t been messaging me for a few days and I miss him and feel sad about it, and I feel like a hypocrite cause I’ve taken quite a while to respond to his messages in recent history. Just ever since he told me he feels as strong about me as I do about him, the pull to interact with him feels a lot stronger. (Atlas)

Can anyone explain to me how queerplatonic relationships work? He said he feels queerplatonic / metaromantic about me and I think I feel the same way, but I’m also not sure. I know queerplatonic is not a one size fits all label in the way boyfriend / girlfriend is, I’m just curious about other people’s dynamics with their qpr, so please share! (Allyssa)

Work work workkkkk… I feel so dumb… I just have to ask for less shifts but my brain isn’t letting me do it, I have to track down the manager / person who makes the shifts, say “can we talk for a second?” Which feels dramatic to say even though it’s not, and then I have to balance showing I’m appreciative of them giving me more shifts (cause like that is generally a privilege in part time work) but that I need more time to study and I need less shifts. That’s literally completely reasonable, why does my brain tell me there’s gonna be a disappointed look on my managers face? And why does that have to matter to me?

I guess cause in my childhood disappointing authority figures was dangerous. But I wish I could drill it into my head that the people I work with don’t have power over me like my dad did. Why do I put myself lower than other people when I like the person I am more than some of the people I put myself under?

People used to call me a bottom when I was younger because of my fawning nature. There’s a lot of reasons being called a bottom as an insult feels wrong to me, but that’s a big part of it. I developed this mentality to survive, I didn’t develop it to get fucked in the butt 😐

Sensory videos are so comforting... I am sick right now and having a fever feels weirdly trippy, it feels like i keep remembering things I forgot about that happened as a kid, nothing upsetting just complete random memories that don't really stand out much which is why I haven't thought about them in years. Idk why being sick is making random memories pop up
