Beautifully fucking illustrated. A fanblr for the five books and two films which make up Irvine Welsh's "Mark Renton" -aka- the Trainspotting-verse. Currently I'm re-reading the five books, with plans to include mixed-media projects surrounding each as well as detailed character profiles, reviews by chapter and possibly spending the entirely of my summer speaking/typing/writing in Scots aye, likely a bit nuts but it's something tae dae.

MARK: Spud. "Detox the system." What does that even mean? It doesn't mean anything. It's not getting it out of your body that's the problem. It's getting it out of your mind. You are an addict.

SPUD: You think I haven't heard that 100,000 times, Mark? You got 12 more steps for me, comrade?

MARK: So be addicted. Be addicted to something else.

SPUD: Like running until I feel sick?

MARK: Yes. Or something else. You've got to channel it. You've got to control it. People try all sorts. Some people do boxing.

SPUD: Boxing?

MARK: Well, it's just an example. I don't... I don't mean you should...

SPUD: So, what did you channel it into?

MARK: Getting away.
