i think about what it’s like being the child of a celebrity a lot because on one hand the lack of privacy every minute of your life is terrible but also how bizarre is it to be automatically handed social currency and mass influence from birth. by the time you’re a teen you can basically throw a dart on any art/entertainment career and just…do it? regardless of talent? and then when you’re an adult you’re just inherently assumed to be innately talented or profound or special. suddenly you’re 28 and photographers are begging to do artsy photoshoots of you in a gown on the toilet or whatever and magazines are basically congratulating you for existing and next thing you know you’re launching your own jewelry line of bracelets made of horsehair and spaghettios because no one says no to you, ever.
