KIM YOUNG-KWANG as SEO DO-YOUNG in EVILIVE (2023)
Last night during the Tent Massacre in Rafah, Palestinians couldn't find their injured loved ones and the remains of those who were murdered by the Israeli military. They only had phone flashlights to look for them. Parents were using their bare hands collecting their children's body parts.
Palestinians were trying to put out the fire using sand since the state of Israel cut access to water.
This is genocide.
(Via jewishvoiceforpeace)
"B-but Palestinians can get their freedom with peace not violence 🥺🥺" no. Screw your feelings. The armed resistance against colonizers and murderers is what will give Palestinians their freedom and what will eventually achieve real peace.
An enemy that bombs and uses white phosphorus against civilians doesn't know nor practice what your broken moral compass describes as "peace". Freedom was proven throughout history not to be achieved through kneeling and asking the oppressor to kindly stop. Freedom needs to be taken by force. Your little Utopian way of thinking doesn't work in the real world. Your feelings don't matter because you're not the one living under occupation. Your feelings don't matter because you're not one of the thousands of children who lost their limbs. You're not one of the children who became orphans due to this genocide. You're not the mother who lost her child to the carpet bombing. You're not the father carrying the remains of your child in plastic bags. You're not the newlywed woman who lost her husband. You're not the one at risk of either getting killed any second or losing your loved ones in the blink of an eye!
"Peace" is not really a thing you see during a live ethnic cleansing!
PEACE is a WHITE MAN's WORD. LIBERATION is OURS.
Reblogging this as a fuck you to the previous person who opposed the resistance.
Peace will never liberate oppression. It just won't, and if you think it will, you're too ignorant of history to be involved in this conversation.
Not once has "please stop oppressing us" made an oppressor go "aw, shit, my bad, sorry bro". Oppressors want power. They don't want equality. If someone is willing to murder in order to prevent you from having equality, they won't care if you ask from that equality "peacefully". They'll take it as an opportunity to murder you and make an example of you to make everyone else fear the same fate, thus allowing the oppressor to keep their power.
Equal rights are taken, not given. Peace was never an option, and that was decided the day Israel first began displacing, oppressing, and terrorizing Palestine when they took over and colonized the country for their own Zionist views.
Don't stop talking about palestine!!!!

I love how in mr brightside he’s like “coming out of my cage and I’ve been doing just fine” and then proceeds to describe how he is not doing fine at all
when hayao miyazaki said that true love was two people inspiring each other to live…recognizing just how hard living is, putting one foot in front of the other every day, how easy it is to lose our passion for it…… that’s the real shit
dusik lost somebody he loved in every stage of his life.
in childhood, his parents.
in adolescence, his grandfather.
in young adulthood, his best friend.
now in his "true" adulthood, he's met hyejin who sees all of him and loves him deeply. can you imagine how absolutely terrifying that must be?
because on one hand, it must be a relief. to be reminded of the happiness and vulnerability and closeness he felt and shared with others in the past. to know that feeling those things again is actually possible. that those emotions were stowed away in some place hard to reach, but not entirely lost.
but on the other hand, it must also be dreadful. because he knows from his past experiences how quickly joy can turn into sorrow. how a fond memory can become the source of bitter and sad regret. how all of it can be taken away from him in a snatch.
when you've experienced a lot of pain, you're suspicious of every moment of ease. when everything is going well, you brace yourself in anticipation for something bad. it's like you can never fully enjoy anything because you're waiting for the other shoe to drop. and life has taught dusik that yes, the shoe will absolutely fucking drop.
when i think of all of these things, dusik's apprehensions and actions become much more understandable. i think that's why the scene at the beach was so powerful; beautiful and yet somehow, so so sad. because you can actually see the fight he's having in his heart play out across his face. and you can hear it in his voice and see it in his eyes--the back and forth between wanting so badly to embrace the love he feels and go all in, and fighting that voice that's preparing him for the hypothetical "worst".
(and by the way, kim seonho is an absolute genius, incredibly brilliant actor. his microexpressions really convey dusik's internal tug-of-war, i have been noticing them more and more especially since episode 9! the beach scene is just one example but there are so many bro give him a baeksang)

in middle school i emailed a friend once being a depressing bastard of a child “where do i go: to the left, where nothing’s right? Or to the right, where nothing’s left?” and i wasn’t expecting to be so rocked by his answer of “forward” that i think about it to this day
losing my mind at this actually
