There are a lot of people out there who can change your life, and some who will actually get the chance to. And there are a lot of people whose lives you will make better and a lot of people who you’ll hurt. There are people out there right now who have no idea who you are but five years from now will be saying they can’t imagine their life without you. There are people out there who have never heard your name before who will one day be saying “I’m so glad I met you.” Think about that next time you feel like you can’t go on or that you don’t matter. Because the truth is you do, and you will.
From “Dream Girl” collection of poems by Clementine von Radics
Some days it will rain, some days it will pour and some days the sun will shine so bright you can feel it deep in your soul. The moon will come out at night and the sun will reappear in the morning. No matter the circumstances, life will carry on. Find comfort in the little things
How do you move on?
You don’t. You just live with it everyday and time shall pass, memories turns vague and it would feel like everything was just a dream.
« En dehors de la peinture et du jardinage, je ne suis bon à rien ! » Faites comme Monet, connaissez vos forces et vos faiblesses. • “Beyond painting and gardening, I am good for nothing.” Do it like Monet, know your strengths and weaknesses. • 📸 @everybrittday
Two years ago I used to always go to a rooftop bar across from my office with my coworkers, who were also my best friends, to see a bartender I was kind of dating. Now I don’t work in that office anymore, I no longer talk to those people, and my bartender lives in LA where he’s making another girl a drink with way too many cherries in it and charging her $1 for being ‘too damn cute.’
But I still walk past that bar twice a week and feel the exact same way as I did when I’d walk towards it two years ago but I’ll never go inside. Because even though on the outside it feels the same, I know that on the inside everything’s completely different. Because it was never about the bar. The bar is just four walls and red barstools and drinks I can get anywhere. It was the people I came with and the person we went there to see that made it mean anything. But if I don’t go inside I can pretend we’re all in there laughing, drinking, flirting, gossiping and for a few seconds I can actually feel it.
