I’ll make this short and sweet, partially out of exhaustion but also because I have a habit of droning on otherwise.

I (admittedly for the second time, but for good this time) am closing the blog down.

This blog was a wonderful thing for me, and I must thank all those who both showcased their work here, and those who interacted with said work or myself.

I love this blog, but it’s time to stop beating around the bush. At this exact moment in life I’m buried as all heck, I’ve been off tumblr for a handful of months just due to having zero time to myself from work- and while that’s gonna change and I’ll be returning to tumblr in some respect- I’ve taken the time away to consider my options around this blog and this just makes the most sense.

DDLC is fantastic, I adore it, and I’m really- REALLY, not one to decide “I’ve gotten what I can from this so now I’ll hate on it” so you can hit me up in 15 years and I’ll still sing some praises this way- but at the risk of parroting tumblr vernacular- the hyper fixation phase has long sense ended and I’m more or less moving on.

Man, I drone on regardless now don’t I.

Long and short of it: Thank you all, I sincerely wish you the absolute best in life and I am beside myself to say I lived this little facet of the fandom in this way :)

Fan art, yet again

Here’s my latest Monika drawing, and probably my last one centered around her: a happy ending for her after the events of the game (the ones that would happen without her “intervention,” that is):

The guy on the right is Chris, an athlete who, unbeknownst to her until this moment, has a talent for the piano just like her.  This is basically an attempt at a romantic scene between her and an in-game character who isn’t the protagonist (since I already had him married to Sayori later in my headcanon).  Sort of a change of pace, I guess.

The number on Chris’s shirt is a tribute to DDLC’s 2nd anniversary, by the way.  : )  Enjoy!

This is a concept I’ve wanted to draw for a while, I feel like these two would understand each other somewhat

That really is a great concept to consider, and I adore how you presented it- with Flowey clearly sharing some of his thoughts or experiences and Monika being an understanding ear- And just utterly gorgeous work on this piece in general. I love the shine in her hair or how the light hits his petals- and the expressions carry the theme so well.

would you like to see fanfics also, or just fanart?

I know someone will read into this incorrectly, but for now I focus on fanart primarily on this blog. I probably should have done fics as well back when I had more time to invest in the blog -.-

To be honest, I rarely have the time to invest in just that- I would love to add fanfics to my showcasing because fanfiction is a lot more my speed in general. It’s what I generally contribute to fandoms (including this one with my own fanfics floating around out there), but I would HAVE to read each fic and properly comment along with my reblog and, while things might change in the future, at the current time I’m just generally swamped with work which means every hour I’m not at work I’m far too exhausted and mentally drained to do just that x.x

Perhaps I’ll adjust how the blog runs after peak season ends and start doing just that! (or other, perhaps less supported things like moving focus to a ‘general art’ blog, who knows what the future holds for better or worse).

I would LOVE to start showing off fanfics! But I really need the mental energy to delve into reading and work has killed that for the time being. Sorry as can be for that.

I adore the mannerisms you captured here- with Yuri’s nerves leading her to play with her hair and Natsuki’s grumpy pout- both of them averting their eyes because the same core drives their awkward reactions.

Oh, no!

Though that is QUITE the idea, I can’t dedicate the time to properly manage such a thing right now and there isn’t one-

Some people like @imnobodyuknow simply submit their pieces from time to time which I think is a really nice thing :)

To the void, in the hopes they spot this in the wild. You did spectacularly on this Natsuki. I’m an unbelievably big fan of how you drew her eye and you captured such a great moment that expresses her in a single frame like any good characterization should!
