Okay so like. I guess it SEEMS like I’m framing it up to be Soukai. That wasn’t my intention, honestly(I personally don’t see them fitting together in story or canon). So as of now and in the future they will NOT be depicted as a couple unless explicitly stated to be a couple.(/light hearted)

In this story they are best friends. No sexuality is canon in this story. What you need to know is that Sou is he/him and Kai is also he/him. Feel free to tell me your hcs, I LOOOOOVE HCS!!! Here’s a few of mine just bc you MIGHT see them in story.

Sou

•He has knee and hip joint issues and uses a cane for walking, but doesn’t use it around the house. Rarely needs a wheelchair but it happens.

•His neck scar was from Midori, back in high school. How it happened is up to your interpretation.

•He’s anti-social. Always has been but after the game it intensified SEVERELY. In the past it was because he felt something was wrong with his brain and he had trauma from his birth mother, he took to having online friends and didn’t make any ACTUAL irl friends. He actually met Midori on an online forum when he was 14-15 and was groomed into meeting him, then Midori started showing up at his school and claiming he was a student there. Yattayattayah. Whether their relationship was romantic or not is uh…for future asks(#clickbaiting)

•ARFID haver. He’s malnourished.

•Sh’ed in high school, relapsed the week after the game. He then started to be friends with Kai and stopped.

Kai

•He looks good in everything you put him in. He actually likes dresses but doesn’t wear them.

•He sh’ed before the game. Still does, but doesn’t/hasn’t told anyone and he doesn’t do it on his arms anymore.

•He was a mama’s boy. She passed when he was 9. He still lights a candle every year on her birthday and her passing date.

•He won’t talk about it, but he misses his father. I think we all can say that Asu-Naro was undeniably a cult. Kai still hates his father. But he misses him, as much as he doesn’t want to.

•He also misses Sei. Not Rio Ranger, Sei. Kai never even met Rio Ranger. He misses his brother deeply, and this loss caused him to start sh’ing in the first place.

•Ana(iykwim. Look it up if you don’t). I don’t know, just always been a hc of mine. Mainly due to trauma. He used to be forced to take poison, even when he didn’t know it. He’s now scared of eating, even when he makes the food himself.

•He loves catfishing lmao. He gets hit on a lot by men thinking he’s a woman and them being creepy. So he likes ragebaiting them.

Both/other

•It’s always Kai going to Sou’s apartment. Sou’s scared of leaving his house.

•The participants are buried in the same cemetery. Sei has his own grave there as well as requested by Kai since Sei didn’t have a grave originally…there’s no body buried under the grave because no one knows where Sei was originally buried.

•The only way Sou will leave the house is to visit the participants.

•Kai has met Sou’s parents before. They see him as a second son. Sou told them what happened to his ACTUAL parents.

•Kai is invited to all family gatherings of Sou’s. Heh

•Kai decorated Sou’s cane and wheelchair lol.

•They watch movies a lot. Like A LOT.

*They were both granted a large settlement by the government due to emotional and physical injuries. Kai lives off of the monthly payment as he doesn’t have an expensive lifestyle. Sou doesn’t either but he gets money off of coding too.
