Tahmuras, shown here galloping across a meadow, defeated the divs (demons); in exchange for their lives, they taught him the art of writing. This work is attributed to Sultan Muhammad, the master painter and chief administrator of the first generation of artists of this manuscript. The humor of the divs’ ghastly faces and gestures and the painterly treatment of their spotty skin are typical of Sultan Muhammad’s style.

while performative activism is still A Force To Be Reckoned with, y’all need to stop yelling at kids who  are incapable of confronting their families’ bigotry. Like, some of these people could get kicked out by their parents for “backtalking”. Some kids live in abusive homes. Keep that in mind. Let them do their activism online if it is too dangerous for them irl.

today everything is blocked - my face and breathing and head and my joints, too, feel sticky. 

i do not have any diagnosis of a physical problem here but i can’t separate it from brain stuff. they definitely seem to come together.

my brain and body in concert, saying, “stop, too much.”

but then when i do stop: “no, no, not that much. now we have to put up with each other all the time.”
