My octobers are always busy, but here's the octaurber prompts I managed to get done, but not posted lol.
I would like to say thank you to @psychodogmoder, for both hosting and for their kind words in the tags :]
it was fun!
Book: The Lepisma Libris or "Bookworm centaur"; this species is characterized by their behavior of occupying books. Unlike their relatives, silverfish, they are mainly drawn to the binding glue in the spine. After hollowing it out, the Libris occupies the empty spine as a mobile shelter.
Movie: An anthropomorphic Sony DV-2400 Portapak; a revolutionary device central to the birth of amateur videography and video art. There's plenty of writing and documentaries on it's impact, that are likely better-spoken than me.
Cryptid: A simpler concept- Loch ness centaur/merfolk, based on the depiction of it as a Plesiosaur. I tried a new brand of ink and experimented with it's application- though, a lot of it was lost as it dried, I still like it.
Day 7 of Octaurber: Alien!
Maybe aliens are known for interacting with cattle... because they are cattle....
Man, it's been forever since I did such intense photo editing. Hopefully the quality survives lol. I've got a few more to get posted up-- honestly, that's the real hard part of internet-ing!

Days 5 & 6 of Octaurber: Flower & Painting.
Flowers have been a longtime favorite of paintersā feels fitting theyād be imperfect twins.
I based the design on the flowers of pumpkins, which I feel like are often overlooked.
Catching up a bit! Hope tumblr doesnāt steal all my image quality lol.
I love my pills because they help me feel better.
Day 2 of Postfurtober: Drug
Yeah, on of the reasons Iāve been falling behind on prompts is because Iāve been sickā it sucks, but at least I got some inspiration out of it.
I already take medicine daily, but having to take even more really makes you think about them.
Oh, yeah, if youāre wondering: the fish isnāt a fantastical element, I just have a giant plush fish in my bed.

Day 4 of Octaurber: Slime
(I always take the opportunity to draw Potential. Also, a reference to another soft, jelly thing)
The advantage of a malleable form is flexibility ; the disadvantage is figuring out how to maneuver that in combination with any āriggingā one has.
Day 3 of Cringetober: Chibi
Weird rat. I think it has rabies.

Octaurber Day 3: Food.
I did consume it directly after taking the photograph, if youāre wondering. The meat was dry.

Octaurber Day 2: Plush. One man's trash is another's treasure.
Ink and watercolor on paper, then sewn through and taped over.

Day 2 of Cringetober: Weird Colors!
& an homage to Woman with a Hat (1905) by Henri Matisse.
Looking at it now, the colors are nice! While I drew it, I went out of my way to choose colors in the Kidpix palette I either wouldn't have normally or felt like I hadn't used often.

Inktober days 1 &2 combined: āmustacheā and āweaveā.
Already managing to run a little late, lol. But I am happy with this piece. I got to try out a fancy new waterbrush! I think itās pretty good considering I never used one before.

Today Iāve illustrated a very sketchy depiction of my drafting table (and lamp)!
Also, Iām trying to get back into dip ink- I havenāt used one for anything other than calligraphy for a while! Pretty good considering how rusty I feel.
