Witchy Baths Masterpost
Here is a big masterpost of different types of baths for different types of witches! Use these baths before or after witchcraft to pump yourself up or to wind down. And you do not have to be any specific type of witch to use any of these baths. Any witch can use them.
Note: Many of these baths call for crystals. Research crystals before getting them wet. Many of them listed you should not put in water, instead keep them at the edge of your tub or near it.
Sea Witch Bath
Kelp Powder (1 tsp)
Sea Salt (½ tsp)
Coconut Oil (1 spoonful)
Coconut Water (½ cup)
Sea Glass, Sea shells, aquamarine, ocean jasper, abalone, pearl, larimar, coral, sand dollars and/or clear quartz
Wood Spoon
Blue and white candles (optional- ocean scented ones)
Steps: Light your candles before filling the tub. Once you start filling the tub add your coconut oil, coconut water, sea salt and kelp powder. With your spoon stir clockwise to help mix in the powder, which can take a bit. The water should turn a faint green tint (the more kelp you add the greener it gets but also the stronger the smell gets). Line your tubâs edge with your sea glass, sea shells, and gemstones. Be sure not to let the gemstones fall in the water, especially if they are ones that canât get wet. Get into your tub and enjoy.
Note: Kelp powder smells very strongly of kelp, it is a scent I personally like but a lot of people donât. Air out your bathroom a bit after the bath to disperse the smell. Also if you do not wish to smell like kelp yourself, rinse off after your bath quickly.
Swamp Witch Bath
Kelp Powder (2 spoonfuls)
Clay or Bath Mud like Moor Mud (read label for how much to use)
Green and brown candles
Wooden Spoon
Snail shells, alligator teeth, rounded rocks and any green gemstones you may have
Optional- Moss if you have potted moss to keep on the edge of the tub (or a moss bathmat)
Steps: Light your candles then begin to fill your tub. Add in your kelp powder and the mud, using your wooden spoon stir clockwise to mix. Depending on the type of mud/clay you are using the water will either turn very green to a dark brown. Line your tub with your gemstones, rocks, teeth and snail shells. If you are bringing in a moss plant or other plants keep them near the tub. Get into the tub and relax, if your moss is a stepable type of moss and in reach you can rub your fingers in it as you relax.
Note: Like the sea witch bath, you may want to air out the bathroom after your bath. This bath will smell much stronger of kelp and you may want to shower afterwards to avoid smelling strongly of kelp. You may have to rinse your tub to rid of mud used.
Forest Witch Bath
Pine Needles
Pinecones
Pine essential oil (2 drops)
3 bags of green or black tea
Green sachet
Mint
Cedar Chips
Green Candles (optional- tree or plant scented ones)
Steps: Light your candles and begin filling your tub. In you sachet add 1 part cedar chips and 1 part mint. Tie it shut and add to your bath as it fills. You may then add the pine needles to float freely or you may add them in a sachet as well. Add your two drops of pine oil once the tub is half filled to ensure it is well diluted in the bath. Add your tea bags into the water, line your tub with the pinecones and get in.
Note: essential oils can be harsh on certain skins, dilute the oil with a carrier oil and test on your skin to see if it affects you. If your skin is too sensitive for pine oil omit it from the spell.

Doing Magic Without Casting Spells
When I was a witch I thought âdoing spellsâ was the height of all magic. After I left witchcraft I found myself doing spells less and less until I just⌠stopped. But this didnât mean my life was without magic. The form my active magic took just changed.
I do magic with talismans now. Others may call them âaltars in a box.â I call them talismans ^-^
Once a talisman is built, it works forever as long as it is properly charged. In the photograph is the charging of my personal prosperity talisman.Â
Talismans are a low-spoon magical solution. The creation, use, and upkeep of a talisman requires no personal energy beyond putting a few objects in a container. You do not need to charge talismans with your personal energy.
A talisman is, in my definition, a magical trinket which can manipulate energies in your favor. In this article I am talking about container talismans.
Container talismans are built like puzzles. Each object added holds a special meaning and will affect the energies of the talisman in a special way. In my example money talisman, I have added:
Lodestone, to draw money, prosperity, and wealth.
Lodestone oil, to draw money, prosperity, and wealth.
Coins, to represent what I desire.
Gold pebbles, to represent what I desire.
A jar of iolite crystals with a $1000 store price tag, to represent great wealth (dressed with lodestone oil).
A bottle of pure gold flakes, to represent great wealth.
A charm bag of basil, to get the spirit ally Basil to work on my behalf for profit.
A sigil to save money, for obvious reasons!
A small jar of marijuana, a gesture of sacrifice to give back to the spirit world, and to represent what I desire.
My last dollar until payday, a gesture of sacrifice to give back to the spirit world, and to represent what I desire.
This talisman brings me a lot of spending money and I am rarely ever out (except now, which is why I am recharging and donating my last dollar!).
On the other hand, talismans are a practical low-fund solution because one can literally be made out of paper slips stuffed in to a jar. No need to get fancy!
Try building different container talismans for prosperity, relationships, wishes, and protection.Â
Try adding dried herbs and stones of traditional correspondences.
Add representation of spirit allies who will help.
Include poems, images, sigils, or references of your goals and dreams.
Talismans can be simple or complex. Make them to your tastes and the preferences of the spirits you work with.
To build your own talisman, select an appropriate container and cleanse it using your favorite method. Cleanse objects and state their purpose as you add them to the container. âThis dried rose represents eternal love within my heart.â âThis quartz chip is to empower the other elements of the talisman.â And so on :)
When your talisman is assembled, charge it by placing candles on or near it and lighting them with intent to draw down power. Or, place it in the Sun and Moonlight for 24 hours, asking Nature to rise from below and complete the trinity of empowerment. In the picture, I placed a candle in the middle of the talisman jar. I dressed the candle with lodestone oil for extra power.
Place talismans on an altar or safe space where it will not be disturbed. Allow it to work for you; I see results within an hour typically but I have many allies so donât be bothered if things donât work for you so quickly! Give up to 4 weeks to see real changes; up to 2 weeks to see signs of change. Speak to it regularly. Give things time to manifest. Charge regularly or as needed (I charge mine once every⌠2 years on average).Â
If you want to include spirits to help you in your talisman, try this method of obtaining a spirit friend from a crystal (modify from the âprotectionâ theme to your own talisman purposes) or this method for making a contract with a spirit.
Whomp there it is.

Please help my friend move out and away from her shitty parents. If she reaches her goal then I will fade dye my hair green! (i would dye it all green but alas my work has hair color restrictions.) Easy Accidental Magick
Alright guys, itâs the blog you have all been waiting for. The sneaky ways I get myself to practice witchcraft daily in my crazy schedule. So, if you're always short on time like I am, here are my favourite ways to get my witch on.
Shower Magick
Although I consider myself a bath witchâŚ.I rarely get a chance to take a bath myself. Mainly, I just help make products for other people. So, I have started to practice shower magick anytime I take a shower. Which, is often because Iâm a mean CLEAN machine. Herbal shampoos and conditioners can be a life saver for a witch short on time. My favourite to use for magick is Natureâs Gate Herbal Shampoo and Conditioner. It smells like a Wiccan shop and is chock full of herbs for all kinds of magickal goodness throughout the dayâŚand the smell lingers for sooo long. Every time I flip my hair itâs like a magickal burst. Filled with herbs like Sage, Lavender, Thyme & RosemaryâŚitâs a protection and purification dream! You can purchase the shampoo on Amazon hereâŚbut I warn you. Itâs more pricey than your normal shampoo. Which is why I had to stop buying it. Butâitâs still my favorite shampoo.
The shampoo I currently switched to I picked up the Grocery Store for $1.99. Itâs not the best quality shampoo for my type of hair (I have dry, frizzy hair when itâs not freshly washed) but itâs certainly good for magick. I picked up Sauve Professionalâs Rosemary & Mint shampoo. Rosemary & Mint are great for protection and purification magick so itâll do the same thing as the Natureâs GateâŚyou just wonât have as many magickal hair flip bursts. ;) You can purchase this shampoo on amazon here, but note it is quite overpriced. Itâs available at most grocery stores, Iâve found.
So, when I put shampoo in my hair I always say a little spell. When I put the shampoo/conditioner in my hand, I draw it in a triple goddess )o(, because Iâm a product whore and use way too much constantlyâŚ.with no shame. While doing this, I ask the Goddess for protection until my next shower; I say something along the lines of this. Usually I just babbleâŚthe Goddess knows that I can never stick to a script. hahaha.
Goddess please protect me with your light, Cleanse me now with all your might. Keep me safe withinâ your arms. Until my next shower shield me from harm. So mote it be.
Then I slather that baby into my hair and wash it out, visualizing all negativity from my body and soul washing down the drain along with it.
Itâs as easy as that!

One things a lot of witches forget is that when youâre cooking all the herbs you use are good for different things. Basil is amazing for protection, mental clarity, and coming into money, Rosemary is kick-ass at protection, Thyme is great for courage, Black Pepper can protect from evil, Salt is always great for purification, Cinnamon loves to help by drawing in business and prosperity, Red Pepper Flakes are a great offensive tactic when you have visitors over for jinxing an enemy, Oregano can help to bring happiness, joy, & protection. And those are just the ones I know off the top of my head. There are HUNDREDS of other uses for these herbs, and tons of different uses for the others you have in your kitchen.
Pro-tip;Â If you find that you have some extra time on your hands, pick up some $1 file label stickers at the dollar store and do some research for the herbs in your kitchen. Write down what they can be used for and stick the stickers right onto your herbs. A quick cheat-sheet for when youâre making your meals!
Also, itâs always great to give a little of what you make as an offering for your guiding deity. So, keep a small plate to the side and share!
Another great way to sneak some magick into your kitchen is with a KITCHEN WITCH! In Germany, Norway, and some parts of the UK, itâs believed that keeping a witch doll in your kitchen will bring you good luck and ward off evil spirits. Not to mention, theyâre so darn cute!
Coffee Magick
What kind of a college witch would I be if I didnât know a little coffee magick?
Coffee in itself is magickal. Bet you didnât know that, did ya? That big ole cup of Joe keeping you up just long enough to finish studying for your finals is great for keeping peace of mind-noâŚreallyâŚIâm not just saying that to make us feel better about our addiction, that's really one of its magickal properties. Coffee is also believed to have the power to get rid of negative thoughts/blockages you may have built up spiritually inside you and help to ground you. Gnarly!
Additives to your coffee can help you with different things as well. Hereâs a little mini chart:
CafĂŠ Mocha:Â Romance, Grounding.
Caramel Macchiato: Prosperity, Protection, Grounding.
Pumpkin Spice Latte:Â Prosperity & Attracting Money!
Peppermint Mocha: Ridding of negative energy, grounding, and helping with love!
Hazelnut Macchiato:Â Protection & Grounding, Warding off evil spirits.
Vanilla Iced Coffee: Love & Protection. Energy Renewal.
Coffee with Milk & Sugar:Â Protection & Prosperity in love.
Coffee with Milk:Â Prosperity, Protection, Grounding.
Coffee with Soy Milk & Sugar:Â Success in love.
Coffee with Soy Milk: Bringing Forth Success.
Coffee with Coconut Milk & Sugar:Â Remaining faithful in love.
Coffee with Coconut Milk: Protection.
Coffee with Almond Milk:Â Wisdom and healing.
Coffee with Almond Milk & Sugar: Wisdom in love.
While sipping, visualize what you want your coffee to do for you based on the list above! These are all my own spin on what the herbs and coffee would do for each other in an ideal situation. If you have different theoriesâŚlet me know!
For example; For my College Math 102 final, I brewed a cup of Coffee with Soy milk for success, and drew sigils for success on a plain white coffee mug to pass the finalâŚ.AND IT WORKED. (To my standards anywayâŚI got a 60%-which was above class average, and passed the class with a C! YES!)
Jewelry Magick
The easiest way to sneak some magick into your life is using jewelry. As most witches know, crystals have different meanings and metaphysical beliefs for what they do for youâŚ.but what if I told you you donât always need a crystal for everything? If you have a special piece of jewelry that you hold dear to you, all you have to do to enchant it is charge it with your intentions. Want it to be a money drawing necklace? Run it through cinnamon incense smoke. Want it to be a protection bracelet? Run it through protection incense smoke. Increase your love life? Rose Incense Smoke. And so on, & so forth. If you envision and believe the piece of jewelry will help youâŚ.it will. It always will.
Alright, well, thatâs enough for today. If you all want to know more easy accidental magick tricks, just let me know and Iâll think about making another blog!
Blessings & light,
Bee!
PS: I didnât spell/grammar check yet. Iâm too tired. Will do so later. XĂ.
PPS: Posting things like this makes me nervous. Please, be nice to me. Posting on tumblr scares me. hahaha.

âDo The Thingâ Bottle
Someone very near and dear to me asked if I could help them out with their motivation problems and help them be productive and since the advice âDO THE THINGâ didnât work, I made a quick, simple spell.
What you need:
Yellow/Orange candle (for productivity)
3 Allspice Berries (for prosperity/productivity)
1 Cinnamon Stick (for prosperity/productivity)
Bottle
Fire Safe Container
Optional:
Any other herb related to productivity and motivation
Sand
Black candle (banishing lack of motivation)
Taglock
A slip of paper with âdo the thingâ on it
What to do:
Get your little ingredients together and put them around your yellow candle and stick of cinnamon.Â
Make a declaration of what each ingredient is intended for, if you wish.
Light your candle (which I set in sand) and your stick of cinnamon (which I also set in sand to let it stick straight up in the air). You may need to light your cinnamon several times.
If you wish, say, âAs this candle burns down, my productivity and motivation will increase.â
Breathe in your cinnamon smell and think about things you want to get done.
When your candle burns down to a nub, blow it out.Â
When your cinnamon burns down halfway, make sure all embers are put out.
Put all of your items in your cleaned and cleansed bottle, including your half a cinnamon stick and candle nub.
Pop the lid/cork in and seal it with black wax if you wish.
Carry it or place it where you need it.

Pendulums 101
Pendulums can be made of different materials, some people using a simple necklace with a crystal or charm at the end. Be sure the bob or bobber - or weight on the end - is not too light or too heavy. It should weigh less than half an ounce. The best shape for the weight - or point - is something that comes to a point. The best length for the pendulum is six inches. You can make your pendulum or buy one.
Pendulums are a simple way to communicate with the other side. I have seen people in stores use them to select products such as: books, food, clothing, just about anything.
The most common types of pendulums are:
- a crystal tied with wire then suspended on a chain or cord - a chain necklace with some kind of charm suspended at the bottom - a chain with metal pointer at the bottom - these are usual store bought - the human body
How To Use A Pendulum
Once you select your pendulum you are ready to begin.
Sit down and get comfortable. Your mind and body should feel relaxed with no stress.
You can rest your elbow on a table in front of you allow the pendulum to swing free, or you can hold your arm in a horizontal position, again allowing your pendulum to swing freely.
You do not have to be psychic to use a pendulum. It will guide itself. It is moved by either your thoughts or someone in spirit who works through you, generally your spirit guide.
The first step is to get the feel of the pendulum and how it will move for you.
Pendulums movements:
- straight line - side to side or front and back - circles - clockwise or counterclockwise - elliptical motion - some pendulums bob up and down to indicate strong action, usually affirmative
Most questions asked when using a pendulum have Yes or No answers. You must determine the direction your pendulum will take for Yes and for No.
Hold the pendulum in your hand. With the other hand - touch the point/bobber to steady its motion.
Keep your eyes on the point.
Now address the pendulum and say, âShow me âYesâ.â It will soon swing in one direction, which could be side to side, back and forth, or circles.
Now say, âShow me No.â It should swing in the opposite direction.
Be certain the pendulum is not being guided by the movement of your hand or fingers.
Once you have determine the pattern for Yes and No - you are ready to begin.
There are times that the answer is unknown - or the spirit needs more information. At that time - the pendulum will generally swing diagonally or not at all.
The faster the movement - the stronger the energies.
Sometimes a pendulum will appear to bob or dance up and down. This is usually an affirmative response. the point is sometimes called a bobber.
There are generally no rituals involve with pendulum use, though some people hold their pendulum in the palm of their hand before they begin, to âchargeâ it.
When you ask your questions you may want to record the answers.
Now you are ready to begin to ask your questions.
Start with something simple such as, âIs it sunny today?â âIs it Monday?â âAre you here to answer my questions?â
Once you get the âswingâ of it - you can move on to personal questions.
Remember to only ask a question ONCE. If you want more information - you might want to use a chart. At this time the pendulum should be about two inches above the chart - or as is comfortable.
If the motion of your pendulum increases - or the circles get large - the energy is increasing and you can expect change linked to the question you were asking. Pursue further questions to get additional information.
Pendulum Charts
You can create your own chart or print one from here. Charts can say anything - including the words Yes and No. They can have pictures, maps, symbols, or the alphabet, used to spell out words much like a ouija board. You can even use your pendulum over a ouija board as it has letters and often numbers on it. Always remember - no matter how you use this tool - is the information you receive becomes negative - you must STOP!
Pendulums and Chakras
Stand in front of, or directly behind, the person you are working with.
Place the pendulum directly over their crown chakra [top of head]. It will either swing back and forth or side to side - or in circles.
Next place the pendulum in front of the third eye [forehead]. If the chakra is balanced the pendulum will swing in the opposite direction of the crown chakra, or the circles will be reversed.
Continue with each chakra moving downward in order: throat, solar plexus, spleen, and root.
If a chakra is balanced the pendulum will continue to reverse polarities. If it is out of balance the pendulum will swing in the wrong direction - or not at all
You can also use the pendulum by placing it slowly a few inches away from a personâs body. The point should remain still and move when it locates a problem.
