The Doctor couldn’t say there wasn’t a billion theories crossing his head at that moment. That kid seemed to know quite a lot about him, much more than a simple UNIT consultant. The kind of thing someone would have to get into in order to find the Time Lord wasn’t hard to deduct, but actually finding him, not by chance, was already a different story. Knowing about Rose and the Meta-Crisis was just impossible. The only people who knew about it were in a parallel universe. Or had their mempry wiped, he thought, commiting the mistake of remembering Donna.
"Yep… the best ship in the universe." The Doctor replied with a chuckle and opened the door, stepping in. He looked back to check if Peter was behind him, which was most likely. "So, bigger on the inside than it is on the outside, and can travel anywhere in time and space, but I suppose you already knew that, eh?" He asked. "So, go ahead. What you want to talk to me about?"
Peter couldn't believe he was actually there, in the TARDIS. He closed the door behind him, without taking his eyes off... well, everything. His parents really weren't kidding when they said bigger on the inside. But then the Doctor brought him back to reality. Well, that was it, then, he couldn't just keep talking nonsense. That was it. Peter thought he was prepared for that moment, but he really wasn't. If anything, he was quite the opposite of prepared. Maybe it was a bad idea since the beggining, go and look for the Doctor, he should've stayed in the other universe. Hell, what was he even supposed to say? "Alright, then... well, it's a bit of a long story, really. I'm from the other universe. I'm their kid from the other universe." He started. "I found a way to travel through universes and all... I've been looking for you ever since. And don't worry, the device is totally safe, it doesn't creates cracks of any kind in the fabric of reality, believe me, I looked for one for a long time before even starting to use it."
