This post resonates with me. I thought I was going to be stuck in the “second love” phase forever. I can put a few people in the category of my “second love” and I am grateful for everything they ever taught me about love, relationships and myself. However, that emotional rollercoaster ride had me very jaded about what love is, and can be.
Then came my “third love”. The unexpected, unsolicited, unmatched love. I can’t say it’s as easy as this post seems to make it but the underlying message is it’s way easier than I ever imagined a love with ME would be. Loving her is effortless. More importantly, making up with her when we’re not good comes easier to me than it ever has.
