Hello. My name is Merlin Fabranger. My minions are Hermione and Quinn. I put up with a lot of stuff. [disclaimer: I am not Quinn Fabray nor Hermione Granger. I don't own them or any of the images in this blog. However, I do own Merlin, unfortunately not in real life. That would be perfect.

So today Mum Mommy and I went Christmas shopping! 

Mommy and I  had fun playing while Mum looked at antiques. Mommy likes shopping too, but I know how to distract her. We ended up having a tug-a-war game on the floor while Mum paid for Aunt S and Aunt B's gifts.

We got most of our Christmas shopping done!

Mommy says Aunt B is really going to like the gift, but that Aunt S might get huffy. I did get Duke Wellington something too! 

I miss my minions, sorry I haven't updated! I've just been so busy. Perhaps I'll take a Q&A over the next week or so.

It's cruel. Although I must say I preen pretty nicely if I do say so myself. Everyone at the photo store thought I was the most adorable thing ever. Duke Wellington, be jealous. Mommy thinks I'm hysterical. Mum keeps hitting Mommy for being mean. 

I don't know if I'm a fan of taking Christmas photos before Thanksgiving. But well --- at least I should be thankful I won't have to wear this ever again.

Hello Anonymous!Minion!

Yes, I'm back. We just flew back yesterday. California was fantastic! I finally got to meet Duke! And we dressed up for halloween and everything. I was a unicorn, because mum and mommy say I'm magickal. And Duke was a duck. I think Aunt B likes ducks because she gave me a stuffed duck chew toy.

 Mommy dressed up as the little prince and mum went as a rose. I think Aunt S and Aunt B were lobsters; their costumes were really scary. Aunt S kept trying to 'claw' my horn.

The best part was the beach! Mommy and I would go running on the beach every morning, it was so much fun! The ocean is kind of scary, but the beach is lots of fun. I wish we had a beach here.

All of us went to this happy place on Monday, and I was finally able to meet that mouse that Duke kept talking about. He was scary looking, but his big dog friend was nice. I think Duke and I can recruit him and the chipmunks I saw in our plan to take over.

Mommy and Mum really seemed to like it because in the afternoon they took me back home so I could sleep and they went back. Mum kept giving mommy kisses when they got back. I think she liked mommy's blue trench coat.

I hope you had a great weekend, Anon!Minion! I missed London. But I'm starting to miss Duke and Aunt B, she would always sneak me treats when nobody was looking.

We're in California, Minions!! 

Mum and Mommy fell asleep for most of the morning, and I just wanted to go for a run. That box is EVIL! 14 hours. It was awful.

I think mum felt awful because when she woke up she forced mommy to take me for a jog while she helped Aunt S and Aunt B with dinner. 

I loooooove running. My legs were so stiff, I just could have run all afternoon. But mommy wasn't her usual runny self, she seemed sleepy. We ended up going to a park and snuggling under a tree. I had to wake her up with kisses because it was getting dark. 

Mum wasn't too happy when we got back because mommy was late. And I kind of got a bit dirty.  But I don't think mum can stay mad at mommy. Mommy and I are both really good at giving the sleepy apologetic pout. I learned from mommy. She's such a pro. Mommy ended up giving me a bath and then Aunt B brought me aspecial doggie cupcake. I think I'm going to share it with Duke. Can cats eat doggie cupcakes? I hope so.

Dearest MinionsFollowers, 

Merlin had to go to the vet today. We decided to go on an impromptu camping trip this weekend and Quinn wanted to make sure the vet looked him over before we leave this afternoon and before we fly to California next week. It's cute how weshe frets over his health. Always a doctor, that one. 

So he won't be posting today or tomorrow. But he'll return next week! 

But he absolutely adores all of you! And wanted to leave you with this photo that Quinn took last Sunday. He's such a ham.

hiya merlin! i was wondering, what do your minions do to make you happy?

Hiya, Anon! 

My minions do so much to make me happy. Mum makes sure I get a treat at least twice a day, once in the morning before she leaves for work and once before we go to bed. 

Mommy knows how much I like to play tug-o-war, so she'll play with me in the afternoon before she goes to the hospital. Or when we go to 'The Dude' on Sundays for our weekly picnic; we play fetch or frisbee. The other day they let me play soccer with some kids! 

But the thing they do the most that makes me happy is scratch under my chin and belly rubs. Oh and there's this one spot kind of low behind my right ear that... oh it feels so good it makes my leg all jumpy!! 

I hope that answered your question, Anon! My minions do so much to make me happy. I love mum and mommy so much. I make sure to give them kisses all the time!

Purple Spirit!

Minions!

It's Spirit Day! Mommy and mum got me a purple bandana to wear today! When I went jogging this morning with mommy, I felt so proud. I love purple, especially mum's purple shoes. She wasn't too happy this morning, though.

which one of the weaslys' do you like best merlin?

That's a tough question, Anon. I don't know.

I really like Ginny because when she comes over she gives me lots of treats and scratches under my chin, which is kind of my favorite.

I don't mind Ron, but sometimes he makes mommy upset so I get upset.

Charlie is nice, but sometimes he has this really smokey fiery smell on him that kind of scares me, but he gives really good belly rubs. Same with Bill, but I don't see him very often. And I've only ever seen Percy once. He was boring. I don't like him. He didn't like my kisses.

George can be fun. When mommy isn't around he'll play tug-o-war with me. But sometimes he gets sad and I don't like it when my minions are sad and we'll snuggle; I think it makes him feel better.

Oh! I love Mrs. Weasley she makes the best beef stew! But I don't think she likes me because she's always shooing my out of the kitchen. But Mr. Weasley always sneaks me some stew. 

I don't know, Anon! It's tough to say!

Have your minions ever played pranks on each other?

Oddly enough Mommy and Ron played a trick on mum in April.

I guess mommy told Ron that about April fools and he really liked the idea. 

I don't know why they thought it was a good idea. Or why they though mum would think it was funny, but they stayed up really late the night before and put up police caution tape just outside the apartment building. Ron traced mommy's body on the ground with chalk.

In the morning when mum woke up and mommy wasn't in bed she got worried. And when she went outside she saw Ron with one of his friends, who was dressed as a cop. And mommy had borrowed some stuff from the hospital. Ron looked really upset. "'Mione... I'm really sorry."

To say mum freaked out would be an understatement. 

Mommy had to stay with Ron for a week because mum wouldn't talk to her. And then mommy slept on the couch for the next two weeks.

I don't think mommy will do something that stupid and insensitive ever again. I was really upset at mommy for making mum sad.

Hi Anon, 

Well, first you need to understand that I really really really like mum's shoes. That's why I was in the closet when this happened. I was chewing on my favorite Jimmy Choo (I'm so punny) and mum was reading in bed when mommy came running in with her laptop all excited, kind of like how I get when mum grabs my leash before we go for walks or when mommy gives me an extra treat.

Anyways. Mommy was really excited and I guess she wanted Mum to get up so they could follow this YouTube tutorial on how to Tango. Mum didn't want to at first, but mommy can be convincing. Anyways, they spent forever trying to learn the steps. I ended up sneaking out with Jimmy C after the second hour because mum got that look in her eye like she's going to eat mommy. And I don't like being in the room when she gets that look. 

They make scary sounds.

But now they practice a new dance every month from that YouTube channel. Swing last week was kind of dangerous, though.

Mommy and mum would never do something like that to each other. Just thinking about that makes me really sad.

has Quinn ever punched ron?

Yes.

Last week mum was walking me in the park with Ron; mommy was at work so mum asked Ron to keep her company. When we got home, I don't know why, but Ron tried to kiss mum. Mommy happened to be coming out of the elevator at the time.  Turns out mommy also stopped at the pub on the way home with some co-workers. And well, I'm sure you know how well mommy holds in her anger.

Mum was absolutely furious with both of them. She really hates it when mommy loses control. She hasn't spoken to Ron since. And mommy's been sleeping on the couch. :/

It makes me kind of sad to see them fighting.

Merlin! Question for you, buddy. Have Quinn or Hermione ever forgotten you somewhere? Or left you home alone for an extended period of time?

Sorry for the delay in responding. My explanation actually answers your question, since Mum and mommy did actually forget to pick me up from the groomer yesterday. Mum thought mommy was picking me up and mommy thought the other way around. Needless to say when they both finally arrived and apologized a million times to the store they ended up spoiling me rotten they felt so awful. 

So I didn't really have time to get on the computer.
