“(We haven’t seen them in a while. We gave them a good licking last time, for sure. They will think twice before messing with us should they reappear.)”

“What a shame that a foreigner knows their way around Kanto better than a native! Shame shame!” Spark is teasing, of course. He took a step closer to Aiden. “Considering Eevee need Thunderstones to evolve, it kind of makes sense you don’t see Jolteon running around that often, if at all. Jolteon aren’t common where I’m from either. Heck, even the evolution stones are a rare find! I was lucky to have gotten my hands on one. Jolty has been my partner for 22 years now.”

“[They don’t mess with us either! We’ve kicked their tail so many times! Good to have friends to help with them too.]”

“Yeah....I need to stop getting lost. Would be bad on my reputation if folks found out how easily I get lost around here.” He chuckled a bit, scratching the back of his head. “I’ve had Samson for about...nine years now? Hes my starter when I first began though, he’s a bit of a special case.” He shrugs, now curious as to see how his Jolteon would react to Spark’s own.

“Where are you from anyway?”

“You should make use of it. It’ll keep you from getting lost. I’m Spark, by the way.” He pulled his hand back from Samson and stood up. Jolty moved over and sat at the blond’s feet. “I let Jolty wander around as he pleases, after all, we’re both on vacation. Kanto is a great place to visit, and it’s super chill! I’ve been here multiple times already.”

“(We had an encounter with some trainers from Team Rocket… but other than that, Kanto is nice. Do you know them?)”

“[Unfortunately...Team Rocket has been a pain in our backsides for a while. We thought they were already gone.]”

“Nice to meet both of you. Yeah, Kanto is a nice place and very chill. You’d think with me being born and raised here, I’d know my way around without a map.” He mused, glancing down towards the Jolteon. “Threw me off guard a bit to see a Jolteon, since I also have one. You don’t see them very often, even around here.”

Spark crouched back down when the Eevee bounded up to him. He pulled off his glove, offered the hand for him to sniff, then lightly patted his head. “Eevee says you’ve been this way before… and apparently have no sense of direction. Perhaps you should get a map? It might help you navigate the region a bit better! You can take mine, if you’d like.”

“(You two are in good hands now. My companion is very strong, and is also able to understand us.)”

Samson did sniff the other’s hand for a moment, purring from the light pats. Ahh, those are so nice.

“I um...I do have a map myself. I just kinda forget we have it.” Aiden admitted, though Samson tilted his head at the Jolteon. Wait, that explains why he knew he mentioned of his trainer’s worst sense of direction. Interesting. It took Aiden a moment to realize that Samson said something though he glanced down at his Eevee, who shrugged a bit.

“Thank you anyway. I’m Aiden, and this is Samson. I wasn’t expecting to see another Jolteon walking about when he found us.”

Watching the small Eevee bounce off of the trainer’s shoulder and follow after, Jolty felt confident to trot along without having to look back. Of course, he didn’t go too fast… wouldn’t want to lose them.

Just beyond the white fences, there was a tall trainer decked out in black leather with blond hair. The Jolteon ran right up to him. “(Companion! I have a lost trainer with his Eevee. They need directions.)”

The blond turned around, crouching down next to the Jolteon. “They’re lost–?” he questioned, but could see Aiden and Samson coming in his direction. “Ah, you two must be the ones Jolty brought over to me.” He then stood up with a smile. “Come on, let me lead you to Fuschia!”

The two did follow the Jolteon along up till they came across the blond-headed trainer. Oh! That must be the Jolteon’s owner. Samson trilled and bounded over towards the man, swishing his tail with a happy cry.

“Uh...we are a little lost.” The boy murmured before realizing now just where they were. Wow...he felt so dumb, always getting lost in a region he should be used to by now.

“Right..this is the way to Fuschia City. Uhh..my apologies for kinda getting sidetracked.” He chuckled nervously, Samson with one ear down with a heavy sigh and grumble.

“[We’ve been this way multiple times before..you have no sense of direction!]”

Jolty tilted his head slightly as the trainer knelt down. He leaned a bit closer and gave the trainer a light sniff. Him? Lost? Never. “(If you could get your trainer to follow me–)”

The golden Pokemon then turned around and started to trot away. He would pause, however, to glance back at the trainer and Eevee to see if they are following–

Aiden extended his hand to let the Jolteon sniff it, before seeing both him and his Eevee conversing. Just what were these two talking about? Samson chirped with a nod before hopping off of the boy’s shoulders, landing on the ground to look up at him.

“Evoi!” He chirped again, bouncing before following after Jolty.

“Alright alright, I’m coming you little scamp.” Aiden chuckled and got back up to his feet, moving to follow behind both of the Pokemon. Just where was this Jolteon leading them?

It seems a Jolteon has overheard the little conversation and meandered on over to Aiden and his Eevee. The golden Pokemon tilts his head to the side. His attention turns to the Eevee. “(From Kanto? Do you need directions? I can get my companion, if you’d like–)” 

This Jolteon seems far too friendly to be a stray– perhaps he belongs to someone nearby.

“[Huh?]” Samson turned his head towards the Jolteon who, he seemed to be happy to see. Oh! A Jolteon, just like the other of his trainer’s team! “[Uh huh! We were wandering and we got a little lost. We would love some help please!]” The little eevee looked over at his trainer with a nudge of his head, Aiden’s eyes focused now upon the Jolteon.

“Hey there little guy. You lost as well?” Aiden asked before kneeling down, surprised at how friendly he was. He must of belonged to someone. “Where’s your trainer?”

“...I don’t think we’re in Kanto anymore, buddy.”

“Evoi....” The little Eevee chirped from the young man’s shoulders while the two were looking around. Just where exactly had they ended up? True as Aiden had a habit of wandering around without telling folks where he was going, but this was a tad ridiculous! Then again....the boy never really ever looked at his map.

“The next person we see, we’ll ask for directions to the closest Pokemon Center.”

“You’re one to talk.” He mused, shaking his head. What would he do without Shin around?

“Ehhh? What?” Uh oh, looks like Aiden is falling for someone’s teasing. It took him a bit to blink and shake his head, trying to clear it up after that. “Oiii, Shin. Still have to challenge me to get that title. Besides..”
