bc challenge #1:
"Which, I assume, is why nothing you start is ever done right?"
This princess isn't interested in dealing with her evil step mother at the moment. Please leave a message after the beep.
"What was it that I always said? Oh right. 'If you want something done right you have to do it yourself'.

Caroline: Did you tell Stefan about my deal with Klaus?
Even Eve had to admit, she understood why her father had been so drawn to Caroline. She didn’t care who you were, she spoke to you as if you were her equal. Nothing more, nothing less. It would be refreshing, if Eve wasn’t used to being treated by a normal person. While it irked her that this girl was talking to her in that way, she allowed it. After all, Eve was nothing if not diplomatic. Or at least she liked to believe so. After all, her being diplomatic like her Uncle Elijah was the reason that Caroline was still standing in front of her saying rather pointed words and her heart wasn’t sitting in Eve’s palm. A brief moment passed when she thought of how her father would react if she killed Caroline. It wouldn’t be hard, or take too much effort to just shove her through something that would kill her. But she wouldn’t do that. Not only because she didn’t want to explain to her father why she killed the blonde, but she also really didn’t want to have to clean up the mess she would surely create. Both physical mess and metaphorical mess. None the less, the power that Caroline radiated was palpable, and something that Eve would keep in mind if the time would ever come that she’d have to go against the slightly older woman.
The young woman was about to say something in response, but she decided against it. It wasn’t really worth the argument. She could be upstairs with her hybrids having fun and catching up. Not all of them knew everything that was going on and they all (even Eve) needed an update on all of their lives. The faster she got rid of Caroline, the faster she can go back to Mason’s story of the latest desperado who payed for his services. But instead she was dealing with one of her fairy tale characters coming to life and she wasn’t acting the way she was supposed to. As a Mikaelson, she definitely didn’t like when things didn’t go her way, but unlike some of her family, she didn’t throw a temper tantrum about it… Not as frequently as they were infamous to do, at least.
The crashing glass of the tumbler in the trash can reverberated and instantly, her eyes darted to the balcony that overlooked where she and Caroline stood to find Nico. He was ready to fling himself over the barrier and rip Caroline’s throat out. Only if Eve said so, of course. It was a quick and silent 'stay' with her eyes that got Nico to back off before she turned back to the vampire before her. No matter how many times Eve tried to help those that she’d heard so many stories about, it would always be construed as a threat or simply something that it wasn’t, all because of who she came from. It hurt, of course, but there was nothing she could do about it except keep trying until she gave up on them, which truthfully, it was getting close to that point. For the briefest of moments, she saw Caroline actually consider her words. Everyone from Mystic Falls thought that they knew her father, but they didn’t. Eve knew her father and she knew what he was capable of and what he would or wouldn’t do. Eve could beg as much as she wanted, but if Stefan, Caroline, or Damon broke a rule, they’d be finished.
The youngest Mikaelson shifted in her spot and pursed her lips for the briefest of moments. “I will never deny that fact, nor will I ever wish it were untrue. Just remember one thing, Caroline. I’m trying to help you. I’m trying to help all of you, because I do care about you… In my own way.” It was strangely one of the most true statements she’d ever made. Those from Mystic Falls were her childhood favorites. She grew up learning about them and learning who they were. Seeing them be killed before her eyes was the last thing she wanted. “I’ll give my father the lists,” she finally said after a long silence. “And I do hope that the deal you made was worth it.” Eve downed the rest of her drink before going towards the stairs again. She was halfway up before turning back to Caroline. Her entire body slumped against the banister to suggest that there shouldn’t be any tension between them. “Do you want to meet them?”
The familiar prickles of Caroline's arm, spiked at the presence of an unwanted guest with venomous canines and a stench that would only have Courtney Love cringing, entering the room. Caroline needn't look up to figure out what or whom was glaring invisible daggers her way. Funny considering the family's favorite past time was staking the other with pointy things. The only welcome she received was the loud snarl of the hybrid. No doubt one of the hybrid bodyguards Eve had mentioned that night at the bar. Without thinking, Caroline turned her head, brow raised and a smirk that screamed 'bring it on'. But just as quick as the mutt showed up, he was just as quick to leave. Might have to do with the look Eve was sending him.
Rolling her eyes, Caroline looked down at her nails and waited for the two to wrap up whatever internal chat they were so hellbent on exchanging. Patience no longer bothered the blonde as she examined her nails and smiled at the sight of the perfectly manicured tips. However, when the blonde looked back up, the babysitter was gone and Eve was mentioning things about her father's temper and her wanting to protect her most prized fairytale characters. God, this was beginning to take a turn for the creepy Cinderella fetish.
"Stop right there." Her hand came up while she tried to process everything that was being spooned her way. "You don't know me. You don't know us." Caroline gave her a pointed look. "So how do you expect to protect us, let alone trust your word?" She asked, but was only met with Eve's back as she was going back up the steps as she continued with her comments, once again, about her deal with Klaus. Seriously? Can everyone just take a moment to lay off her lame choices. It protected Roxanne and the Italian troublemakers, did it not? Isn't that worth it in the end? "Thanks." She answered with less hostility this time. At least Eve was still willing to hand him the lists. Seeing how that was the one reason behind her visit.
The satchel was placed back around her arm as she headed to the door. Though Eve's question had Caroline backtracking. "Mine as well. Seeing how I'll be coming across them more often than I'd like." She shrugged, smoothed out her sundress, flicked back a few curls and followed after the baby Mikaelson.
I need a break from New Orleans already.
Is this during or after you spend all your day with Klaus?
Seriously! He told you?! Clearly he couldn't take a hint with the super glue I left on his counter.
Despite all the chaos in the Quarter,
I’m actually having a good day.
Up for another perk? Have your dry cleaner on hold, this ones a good one. Rest easy in knowing your plan actually fell through.
But we are not men.
They didn’t agree on much. In fact, they rarely agreed on anything. They fought all the time. And they challenged each other every day. But despite their differences, they had one important thing in common. They were crazy about each other.
