It’s hard.

It’s hard when you wanted them to know, but you don’t want them to notice. It’s hard when you want to tell them, but you can’t even say it. It’s hard when you really wanted to scream to the whole world, but you’re afraid of what will they think of you. It’s hard when you still feel alone, even though everybody is there beside you. 

It’s hard to say your feelings deep inside, because you are afraid of rejection. It’s hard to take risks, but that is how you carry on. I know it’s hard, because nothing was never easy. But I know, I hope, I’m gonna be alright.

Christmas Vacation

I’ve been busy because of the Holiday events and I am editing our Gazette for the Batch 61 Induction of IECEP-MIT. and I am an incoming officer. so I’ve got to do my job. It’s gonna be around 2 weeks before 3rd Term starts in Mapua. enrollment starts next week and it’s gonna be a busy week for me since I need to film 2 videos for the induction and edit it. Ok, now look, I am an engineering student not a multimedia art student. It’s my hobby to do this stuff, so I am really enjoying this and I am very thankful that I can practice designing and editing videos. Hopefully, I can finish this today and enjoy my remaining days of vacation haha

I decided to switch to an LTE sim because I am just using a regular one. It sucks that I only decided now to switch to LTE because it’s been a year that I have my phone, my phone is LTE ready. ugh. (I actually have a Smart LTE sim but I really don’t like the surfing promos of smart so...)

Ok, I bought this sim from a kiosk in RFC Mall, just a kilometer away from home. I thought the sim would only cost for about 50 to 60 pesos. Since it is not sold directly from Globe. and guess what. it’s freaking 80 PESOS. like wtf. but still I bought it tho, cuz, I really want one. I removed the price sticker and saw that the retail price ?? i think is only for 40 pesos. LIKE WTF. 40 PESOS DIN UNG PATONG NILA. HUWAW NAMAN. I can understand if their added value was just around 10-20 pesos but 40?!? That is just too much.

Gorilla Pod Review

We’ve bought it this morning with my friend (Kenneth) since he need this one for his trip to Baguio. Since I want to have one and it’s really cheap (300 pesos HAHA) I really don’t have money left since I also bought gifts for my family. Well, consider this as a gift for myself haha. 

Ok, let’s start the review.

This Gorilla pod is about 25 cm long. It is really light and almost made out of plastic, but I tell you it is sturdy. The only metal thing here is the screw for the camera or smartphone clip...for....selfies... hmm

See, that screw in the middle? that’s the only metal there HAHA, anyways. The top with the screw is removable, it’s called Quick release since you can remove your camera anytime from your gorilla pod without removing the screw. It is easy access.

This is the gorilla pod with a smartphone. It’s really good, it holds well, and does the job. And below is an example of the quick release for EZ access haha

SELFIE. no. yes.  if you have Go Pro’s and action cams. This gorilla pod is really nice to have. Ok, for DSLRs. it’s ok to use, but not recommended. I recommend you go for the bigger size since it can hold the DSLR’s weight better.

Doing this is a bit risky, the top of the gorilla pod is a ball joint so it can bend to any direction. so make sure you have the control over the camera and you know it’s weight. If you are using a bigger gorilla pod, then go ahead haha it is really good. GOOD FOR VLOGGING YESSS.

The main purpose or the main difference of the gorilla pod to an ordinary tripod is that it can be placed any where. like seriously. It is really flexible. with that ball jointed legs you can place your camera to anything as long as the pod can be mounted. For example, an unbalanced terrain or field, you can adjust the legs to make your camera have a stable horizontal view or just stable. You can’t do that with a tripod because it’s legs are stiff, you can only adjust it’s height. But with the gorilla pod, that is not a problem.

Ok, for final verdict. The gorilla pod is REALLY GOOD. I recommend it to be used for outdoors, adventures and exploring, that kind of stuff because it is flexible, light and can adjust to it’s surroundings. but for using for formal Photography, like portraits and the like, use the tripod. You can’t adjust the gorilla pod’s height. It is limited where you can place it, where you can hang it. For Go Pros and smartphones, it is good to use a gorilla pod like mine in 25cm of height, but for using the DSLRs I recommend you to buy a bigger one since it can handle most of the DSLR’s weight.

Kotion Each G2000 Pro Gaming Headset Review

I’ve been using this headset for a month now and it’s pretty great. I was looking for a headset to use with great sound and not that expensive. I found this on Lazada and it’s a worth buy. plus those LED lighting. it’s great. really great.

So for the ports, it has 3 ports. 3.5mm jack for audio (green) and another one for microphone (pink). The USB is for the LED light.

Audio and mic controller inline with the cable. It’s a bit big but tolerable.

The cushion ear pads are big. or is it just my ears are small? Anyways, it fits perfectly on my ears. I spend hours using this and my ears doesn’t hurt or feel itchy. The cushion on the top of the headset is really soft. it’s comfortable and it’s pretty neat.

I haven’t yet tested out this microphones since there is only one 3.5mm port on my laptop. I’ll try to buy a jack splitter so I can use both audio and the microphone at the same time. It kinda sucks because it has two seperate jacks. now that is a down side.

Sound quality is great but not the best. It has really loud bass and good mid. So you can enjoy what game you are playing and the music you listen.  

Overall, It’s nice, great deal for it’s price. It is a big headset and has weight which can be uncomfortable to other people but for me, I really don’t mind it. So, if you are looking for a gaming headset which has a nice sound, aesthetics and on a budget, you may want to check out on this.

(The LEDs are so cool if you are playing games or watching movies and your lights are off. it’s nice.)

Ok, for some of you who are a Star Wars fan, you should really check this movie. It’s good, great and IT REALLY TIES in the Star Wars original trilogy because it is it’s prequel. You can spot some easter eggs on the movie and that just makes the feel of the movie so good. Even if you still haven’t watch Star Wars, this movie is a great start to enjoy the franchise.

The curse is gone.

4th year. 2nd Term.

ALL BLUE AKO. SA WAKAS. if Mapúan ka, alam mo ibig sabihin nito. and if not, it just means that I don’t have any failing grades. 

For the last 3 years since I started studying in Mapúa (in 2013), Every 2nd term I have a failing grade, and we have 4 terms. (not the usual college or university which has 2 sems.) I don’t know what’s with the 2nd term but out of 4 terms. It was always the 2nd. The 2nd term usually starts around October to December, and because it hits the month of December, it usually called the Christmas Term. Christmas Term is the most blessed term in Mapúa. It’s because there are many events happening and it’s Christmas! The season of Joy and Giving. And there is a term for us called the Christmas Tres (3). 3.00 is the passing grade. and so Professors usually have a heart of gold and stuff during this term but for the last three years I did not believe in any of those stuff. because I always fail! particularly on that term and I began thinking it is a curse. 

But not this term. I am really scared on 2nd term(s). So what I did is. I looked back on the previous 2nd terms. What I did. What I listen. What I usually do during christmas. All of those. I changed it. I stopped listening to Pentatonix’ Christmas Album (because I always listen to them during christmas), I didn’t attend the Simbang Gabi (for the last 3 years, I completed them and idk, nothing religious related but ya know), I did not attend any convention (like the Asia Pop Comicon and the Toy Convention). I stopped this usual christmas season things I do AND YOU KNOW WHAT. IT WORKED. idk but IT WORKED. 

I passed all my subjects, after all those hard, stressful and sleepless nights. I did it! My motivation to passed this term paid off and I think it’s because I always pray in our Chapel everytime I go to school and before going home. God is always there to guide us. And to St. Jude Thaddeus which I always pray too. Thank You. Thank You God. Thank You.  It’s been a year without any failing grades. 2016 is a good year for me in college.

Traffic Issues

Here in Manila, the traffic is one of the worse of the worst or is it the worst?

As a student who rides buses and uv express as a means of transportation, I’m gonna say the traffic is getting worse every single day. My normal travel time from my house to Mapúa when I was still at my first year in college was about 1 hour and going home from Mapúa takes about 1 hour if I ride a bus and about 30 mins when I ride a UV express. Now, it takes almost 2 hours from house to school and 2 hours from school to my house, even if I ride a UV express which is usually faster than a bus. 

Here are the things, I think, that causes too much traffic here.

Road Constructions

Uneducated drivers - example: mga bobong drivers nagcocounterflow.

Uneducated pedestrians - dun tayo sa tamang sakayan babaan lang mga bes. tumawid din sa tamang tawiran. jusq.

Private Vehicles > PUVs - I’m gonna highlight this because there are too many private vehicles especially during weekdays. I swear. I saw many SUVs and vans (like Montero, Fortuners, HiAce, etc) that has no passengers. Can you imagine how much space their big ass cars occupy on the road? Damn son. If you try to survey the mass of the cars during weekdays and weekends on a particular time period, there will be less traffic during weekends because it’s weekend, it non-working days. if you are a daily commuter you know what I’m saying. I usually go to school between 6am - 8am like everyday. so I know what I’m talking about. 

I get it that most people with normal jobs prefers to go to work with their car because they only have a certain destination, home then office. no stopovers. unlike the public transports. may sasakay may bababa. The problem here is that if every person with a job and a car prefer not to use public transpo, there will be an overload of private vehicles on the road and it is happening now! I am not saying they are the main problem and I don’t blame them if that is what they want because the public transportation here sucks. 

The traffic will get worse, and I know it. If the Government will not take actions in solving this problem, even though they say that they are taking action. Car regulation should be a thing. People who want to buy a car but they don’t have a garage, pls don’t buy a car. The road is not a parking lot, unless there is allotted space for parking. Slowly monopolize the public transport pls, because people don’t want sudden change, they will all be against the proposition even though they do not know the full details. Let the people be informed.
