Memorial Day Weekend 2026 Biscayne NP 🐠 & Everglades NP 🐊
Our new apartment is within walking distance of a few breakfast spots. I don't see myself doing this often but the weather was nice and Boyfriend drove over to join me.
Sister and I, with the help of Boyfriend and some very amazing movers, spent all weekend moving out of our 2nd floor apartment into a 3rd floor apartment.
I would like a new pair of legs please.
If I go to work and am immediately angry due to said work and the people I work with almost every day, I should probably quit right?
I would love to have a summer break.
There aren't many perks to being a native Floridian, but being able to casually watch the Artemis II launch from the side of the road after getting off work is pretty neat.
2026 is apparently my year for visiting north Georgia. Boyfriend and I took a road trip up to meet his family for spring break a week after Sister and I were in Atlanta. We got the liiiightest dusting of snow one day which made my little Florida heart very happy.
On the drive we found a couple of neat things to stop at for leg breaks. Going up we saw Radium Springs and on the way home we visited Providence Canyon State Park.
Lady Gaga's concert was so nice we decided to see it twice. This time Sister and I went up to Atlanta which meant we also had to go to the Georgia Aquarium.
Highly highly recommend doing the Behind The Seas tour if you're ever there. It's only $18 more and you get to see a decent amount behind the scenes. We got lucky and happened to be on tour when it was lunch time for Yushan the whale shark.
Lowest morning temps in about 15 years for Central Florida today. The town I grew up in about 30 minutes north even got a sprinkling of falling snow late yesterday according to the news.
Thankfully, I've already earned the Frosty badge from Garmin so I won't be going outside anytime soon. Gelato is really enjoying her heating pad this morning.
Happy Thanksgiving from small-town Oklahoma.
Sister and I went to Miami last weekend to see Lady Gaga. It was the first time I've been to a concert with the bluetooth wristband lights and it was super fun.
Snapshots from Arkansas
You know how people believe in the seven year itch for relationships? I think I have a five year itch for jobs.
@abcd-adventures kindly thought to tag me to share six non-selfie pics. Pretty much all of my pictures are non-selfie so here are some snapshots from the last 6-ish months.
The Alamo from when Sister and I were in San Antonio for a concert in November. Christmas kitty and snuggle kitty. An Atala butterfly from our visit to a local garden and bird sanctuary. A couple of snapshots from spring break with Boyfriend's family camping near Mobile.
Snapshots from earlier this week trip to Chicago with Sister.
Serious business today at work for my birthday. My boss claims to have gone to three stores to make sure she got the right card for me.
It's been a minute since I've really taken the time to read. This has been refreshing.
Some snippets from January so far.
Finally updated my National Park Adventure Guide with the Congaree Travel Stamp. I bought the book last summer when Boyfriend and I went to Shenandoah for our 5 year anniversary. Before then I didn't know about the National Park Service passport stamps. The Travel Stamp was a fun discovery at the same time and it's a nice little extra bit of art for the page.
I decided to sign up for StoryGraph because Goodreads is starting to really bug me with their Amazon integration, specifically how the Reading Challenge page now pushes the Kindle reading challenges. It's been enjoyable so far and I really like how easy it is to create personal challenges that are more than just a yearly book goal.
Bonus Lego Chrysanthemum picture because I got that put together today. And a Gelato picture, because did I really make a post if there isn't a cat picture?
