alright but imagine Luke’s face when he walks through the door and you’re sitting on the sofa near tears because everything just went wrong that day and he’d drop his keys and run over, kneeling down next to you and grabbing your hand. After some long seconds of silence you’d shake your head and mutter a sorry, leaving only the sound of your choked back sobs. Gently, he’d wrap his arms around you and pull you down onto the floor in his lap and tuck your head under his chin, rocking you and letting you cry yourself out before he said anything, even then it was only to ask if you wanted to watch a film on the sofa for a while. Halfway through the movie, he’d see you half asleep in his arms, hearing you murmur that ‘I’ll tell you about it tomorrow Lukey’ causing him to drop a kiss on your forehead and whisper an I love you, before you drifted off happily into sleep.

but imagine cal when you come home one day and your steps are slow and your nose is irritated from sneezing all day and the only thing you mumble as you walk past him is a quiet ‘headache, need sleep’ before you stumbled into the bedroom. Instantly he’d be in the kitchen (attempting) to make soup for you and he’d quietly creep into your room where you were trying not to be awake and suffer your sickness. Very gently, he’d lay a couple more blankets over you and sit on top of the covers, wrapping an arm around you and pulling you up so you were leaning against him. After he’d forced some soup down you because ‘it’ll actually help I promise babe’ he’d lie you down and curl you into him, letting your runny nose nestle into the crook of his neck and he played with you hair until you fell asleep. He’d stare down at you, dark eyes soft but worried about his love, looking so far from her normal happy self, and press a kiss to your hot forehead, whispering ‘I love you sweetie, I’ll always try to make it better’

Okay but like imagine Cal tattooing your initials or something you once said to him that he really loved. He’d be all shy about it first but then as your fingers softly trace the tattoo as he’d explain that everyone important to him is tattooed somewhere and now you’re one of them.
