(Like this for a shortish starter from the big guy)
(Itâs surprising to me that I still accrue followers over here despite literally never being on. Maybe itâs because there are like, almost no other Android 16 blogs? Anyway, as some of you know, I also run kipowered, which occupies most of my time on this website. I also have two other, smaller blogs that are non-DBZ related that I very occasionally do stuff on, so time is at a premium.
Even so, I would like to get back to doing stuff on here, so... weâll see? The new Tumblr messaging system that replaced fanmail is actually A+ good job tumblr staff, so I will probably reply to messages on there when I can if people are interested in doing stuff. Weâll see how it all goes.)
When Conner felt his punch connect, and the practical ring of metal, he knew something was up. The resistance put up by the opponent was clear to him, and where a more experience combatant would have backed out, and reevaluated the situation, this teen superhero was more familiar with not having room to breathe, and reacting to such cases.
Stepping forwards at the same hyper-fast speed, and past 16, Conner kept his fist pressed against the tall metal-manâs arm. Though what wasnât visibly apparent to anyone was the telekinetic field expanding from his fist to encase the targetâs arm. As he stepped forwards, Superboy put more into it, using the telekinetic grip as an anchor, and intending to launch the orange-haired robot in a mighty throw, fueled by significantly more force than the initial blow.
16 wasnât sure exactly where Connerâs powers came from. His speed and strength could be products of any kind of power, and even if he didnât seem to have ki in the same way normal Earthlings did, that didnât preclude him from having some substitute. Even so, there was something very foreign about his telekinetic power. It wasnât wholly dangerous, and yet...
If the Android possessed the capacity to resist Connerâs telekinetic abilities, he didnât demonstrate it, launched back and upwards some distance. His face remained blank, and he corrected his movement, slowing himself and finally halting his motion altogether, floating in the air before dropping back down to the ring across from Conner.
âThat was an interesting attack,â he observed. âYou managed to move me without any ki expenditure or physical contact.â He looked down to his arm, briefly scanning to ensure that no damage had been done.
Hmph, so this guy was just dead set against making the first move, huh? Well, Superboy was willing to oblige, of course, not without answering the remark this man had made. âNot sure how y'figured it out, but yeah, thanks for noticinâ, now donât go gossiping about it.â
With the last word, almost as if this act punctuated the sentence, Conner disappeared, moving way to quickly for the human eye to track. Of course, it was a trick heâd picked up from Bart, sprinting at top speed for a short distance to catch a foe off-guard. The real trick was not taking this guyâs head off with the forwards velocity, so if an opponentâs eye was keen, they could see him for the briefest of moments before a punch was thrown, due to his stopping to cease some of the forwards motion, and initiate a slower instance.
And just like that, Conner appeared before 16, standing with his feet planted firmly as the boy threw a punch. Of course the teen Kryptonian had no clue how tough this foe was, so Kent simply limited himself to what Herculeâs strongest punch could do by his approximation, easily mroe than enough to break any normal humanâs jaw.
Perhaps Connerâs movements WERE too fast for the human eye to track, but 16âČs eyes were not even close to human. He watched the boy speed up and move towards him, then slow down and throw his punch. Indeed, while Conner had no idea how strong 16 was, the Android himself was only vaguely aware of the Connerâs own power. Even so, he lifted one large forearm and held it in front of himself, blocking the blow.
16 had little good to say about Dr. Geroâs ambitions or methods, but it was hard to argue with his craftsmanship, and the thick exoskeleton of his body would have been enough to shrug off any nearly humanâs attack, even one with extensive training like Krillin or Tienshinhan. Coupled with 16âČs natural energy reserves and his massive database of martial arts techniques, and 16 was seldom caught off guard or overpowered.
That all true, Connerâs punch was as a bird striking a tank, and 16 lowered his arm with not so much as a chipping of his paint.
Conner was much less stressed about the tournament than his opponent had been. Given that he was a combination of blissfully ignorant, and just confident enough to feel that he could beat just about anybody else in the ladder who wasnât Son Goku.
Stepping onto the ring, greeted by the cheers of Herculeâs adoring fans, Conner waved at them, trotting towards the ring to see a giant red-haired man. Of course, Kent wasnât the sort to keep an eye on the competition, so it was only natural that he hadnât seen 16âs own decisive victory in the first fights. But amidst it all, he did catch the subtle noise of SOMETHING coming from his opponent, though the clone wasnât quite capable enough with focusing this power to key in on one guy while being literally bombarded with noise on all sides.
Taking a wide stance, Superboy decided to not worry about it, calling over to 16, âReady when you are, Fire-Crotch!!â
16 was not rattled by the insult, if he even recognized it as one. Instead he stared down at Conner, his expression fixed and neutral. âI am ready,â he answered, as though Conner had asked a sincere question.
âYour DNA contains genetic sequencing that is not found anywhere on this planet,â he observed, standing in a passive stance. âAlthough I imagine you already knew that. In either case, I am not interested in fighting with you, just as I was not interesting in fighting the Saiyan in the last round.â He made no threatening movements and instead continued to stare at Conner from across the ring.
Ladies an Gents, for the second match of the second round, we have: Superboy! Our hero Mr. Satan graciously allowed him to take his place due to an injury in hopes of defeating Cell in this tournament! A true hero! As for the mysterious numberâŠsixâŠteen.? He doesnât talk much, but heâs a big one! It seems he takes more of a defensive approach to fighting, so this will be interesting huh? And with that, lets begin!
16 had watched the rest of the first roundâs matches with a discerning eye. Goku was still in the tournament, as was Cell. This was concerning, especially as Goku would have to face the Bio-Android after only a single fight, meaning he couldnât capitalize on Cell being tired after a few more fights first. This, more than ever, meant that the tournament needed to be stacked with the strongest fighters to have a hope of defeating Geroâs most dangerous creation.
16 was not sure he could count himself in that category, but he had beaten his first round opponent without throwing or taking a single punch. His new opponent seemed young, but 16 knew that looks could deceive. His scanners indicated that the boy was only partially human, but his other DNA was of a species that Dr. Gero (and therefore, 16) didnât recognize. Furthermore, it was difficult for the Android to make sense of his power level. He seemed to possess almost no ki, even less than Mr. Satan, and yet heâd been so obviously holding back against the Earthâs hero. There had to be something else to this fighter...

Itâs time for our third match! Weâre looking at another exciting fight! The fighters this round are:Â Rucola, he has never been to a tournament before, so he was curious, letâs give him a round of applause folks! Letâs hope this is a positive experience for him! He also wants to win the prize money for his mother, aw.
Fighting him will beâŠ.16? Another fighter going by a number? Would you happen to be related to previous runner up winner Number 18? Either way, he sure is a big fella!Â
And with that, Letâs BEGIIIIN!
16âČs caution proved useful, as almost immediately, the Saiyan across the ring from him burst with a golden aura and lunged forward, flying at the Android. Still, though he did not like to fight,16 was anything but weak, and he lurched to the side to avoid the attack. The Saiyan was undaunted and turned around in midair, floating a few inches off the ground and throwing a barrage of punches and kicks to 16.
16 fought defensively, exclusively blocking and dodging Rucolaâs attacks, but contributing no offense of his own. The young Saiyan hardly seemed friendly, but 16 saw no reason to hurt him. Still, he could not trouble Cell, and so 16 did not wish to see him advance. The bio-android would have killed the boy easily. 16 knew he needed to win.
The boy was both aggressive and impulsive, darting around 16, seemingly growing increasingly frustrated with his inability to land a blow. For every fist, 16 countered with a forearm, for every kick, a knee. Finally, Rucola appeared to be making some headway. Though he hadnât landed a hit yet, he appeared to be corralling the giant Android, forcing him to the edge of the tile that marked the tournament territory. He geared up for one great punch, that would knock 16 back even if he blocked it, and send the Android tumbling out to the grass.
However, as he attacked, 16 moved with his full speed, appearing on the other side of Rucola. The Saiyan was suspended in the air, a foot or so off the ground. With his large hands, 16 grabbed the Saiyan around the waist and quickly shoved him downwards, his feet touching the ground outside the ring for a few seconds before he managed to struggle free. Even so, 16 turned away and walked back to the announcer.
âThis means I have won, correct?â

16 was not one to trust things like âhunchesâ or âintuitionâ. With his super computer brain, he was more than capable of calculating odds in seconds, rendering such feelings largely useless. Still, when he had heard of the tournament, it had stirred in him an unshakable concern that something would happen there. With an open entrance slot, it was easy for the large Android to register for the tournament. He didnât care about winning or the money, so if there was nothing amiss, it would be simple enough to forfeit. Otherwise...
He had seen the bracket. He recognized Hercule, of course, as well as Goku. Their presences werenât surprising. What was, however, was the return of Cell. Looking carefully at the names, 16 could see that Cell would, in all likelihood, face Goku in the second round. Without knowing what the bio-android wanted, or why he was back in the first place, it was hard to know what would happen, but 16 was not sure Goku could win.
There were other Saiyans at the tournament (16 had noted at least 3, in addition to Goku), as well as 2 beings whose energies he could not detect. In all likelihood, 16 knew his chances of defeating Cell were low. At the same time, they were likely above most of the others. For that reason, 16 knew he would have to at least avoid being injured, in case Goku failed against Cell, or needed his help.
He stood across from his opponent, a Saiyan he did not recognize. âWe are from the same production line,â he answered the ring announcer, without moving his eyes from the man on the other side. Analyzing his power level, he was no threat to 16. Still, with Saiyans, 16 thought it prudent to be on his guard..
He wasnât sure what he expected or wanted to hear. It didnât seem that Sixteen exactly thought of those who made mistakes as lesser and himself as superior. He stated his assessment in the same mild, level tone as he spoke of everything else. However, he thought he caught a tiny bit of disdain when he spoke of Goku, of Vegeta, Gero⊠like the beginnings of negative emotion not fully realized. If it wasnât their capacity to make mistakes that evoked such a reaction, what was it?
âI guess that must be right,â he said thoughtfully, stretching an arm above his head and smiling once again. âI wonder what my core is. Not a super smart computer, thatâs for sure!â He looked upâway up. He had to in order to meet the blue eyes. âGeez, and here I am used to feeling tall,â he muttered. âAnyway! So swimmingâs out, buuut I bet youâd be an amazing stone skipper. You know how to do that?â he asked, tilting his head. Hey, as long as he was staying out here, he was going to need some ways to spend his time, and Goten was getting a little restless staying in one spot. Energy demanded he get on the move. âWhich way to the closest pond?â
16 looked down to meet Gotenâs gaze. The half-Saiyan was standing close, somewhat uncomfortably so. 16 recognized his stature was unusual among humans, and had occasionally wondered why he was built so tall. For that reason, he tried to keep some distance from others while speaking, in order to make conversation easier. He had learned the idiom âto look down onâ and was unsure if the literal meaning was the correct one.
âI am not familiar with stone skipping,â 16 explained, âbut I would be willing to try.â He thought for a few moments, trying to decide on a location that would be both near and unlikely to have other humans occupying it. âThere is one a few miles to the South.â 16 finally answered, silently lifting himself off the ground.
âOh? I also enjoy nature. I go on hikes, sometimes. I like finding nice places to sit and just look around. Itâs really relaxing.â Wow, he really want a gentle giant. He also seemed different from the other androids she knew.
âMm.â 16 nodded in agreement. There was a certain serenity to be gained from being alone with nature. âDo you have a favorite place?â He asked, thinking back to the times heâd spent on various mountain summits, watching the birds flit past him as the sun slowly fell in the sky.
Welcome all to the XXth Annual Worldâs Martial Artâs tournament registry!Â
This year we have 13 spots available! (16 but 3 spots are reserved for plot shenanigans) And there is no junior division! Young fighters will be fighting in the adult games as well!
Fighters will be selected through a random list generator, and the winners from each round will be selected randomly as well to assure fairness and flexibility in the roleplay. We want this to be as interactive as possible, it wouldnât be fun if Gohan/Goku/Vegeta just slaughtered everybody, we want there to be a fair chance. The two fighters from each round will be inboxed on who the roundâs winner will be, so the fight can be roleplayed through with a goal result in mind. Remember communication is important! Be sure to talk to your fellow roleplayer if you have ideas or think there is any unfairness. You donât have to be following me, or the other combatants to enter.
Keep in mind though, that this is the tournament that takes place on earth, so if your character is an alien/time patroller they need a good reason to be there. Saiyans who live on earth/aliens that are passable as human/animal person apart from skin colour (since itâs canon that most humans donât notice) Majins, Namekians ect. are welcome. Aliens like Friezaâs race or things that look a little too strange might not be allowed to participate (Donât worry, youâll get your intergalactic tournament soon)Â
There will be two weeks between each rounds (quarter finals, semi finals ect.) To give every one enough time to participate without having to worry about missing it for Work or IRL business.
Please submit this form to me here by Friday September 18th.

This man..He was quite obviously an android. And he knew Gohan too.. âYes, I am. Who are you?â ChiChi asked slowly, keeping her guard up but trying to look calm. Attacking for no reason wouldnât do any good. Besides, what if this android wasnât one of the bad ones?
âI am Android 16.â 16 was not sure whether this information alone was enough, so he explained further. âI fought alongside Gohan against Cell.â What else really was there for the large android to say? His initial activation period had been only two weeks, and it wasnât as though he had any ties to the woman other than knowing her son. Even so, he felt he should speak to her, at least for a few minutes. Perhaps she could pass along a message.
(I feel like this is inequality of followers > posts should not happen.
OOC stuff under the cut regarding new followers, my following policy, other stuff. Not super important, but itâs what it is.)
princessofallsaiyajin:
Oh! She had heard stories about him. From how gentle he was with her hand, the stories seemed to be true. Bulla was informed that he was just a giant teddy bear. It was nice to finally meet him.
âYep! Theyâre my family. My parents are married, now, but Iâm the last of their kids.Theyâve told me stories, about you. So did Eighteen. Itâs nice to meet you.â She smiled  up at him while placing her hand back down to her side.
âFrom what I hear, we share a love of animals.âÂ
Of all of the Earthâs inhabitants, 16 held Vegeta and Dr. Brief among the lowest esteemed, above Dr. Gero and Son Goku, but not by much. Still, the Trunks 16 had known was a caring man, and it seemed this girl was his equal. 16 retracted his hand in kind, and nodded.
âI love all things about nature, from the plants, to the animals, to the natural formations of rock and stone.â
goten-ks:
âAndroid Sixteen,â the boy repeated flatly, raising a brow. âWhat⊠what is that, your street name? Like, thatâs not on your birth certificate, is it?â Otherwise heâd had some weird parents. Though, on that note, it was difficult to imagine a tiny baby version of this guy. He couldnât have sprouted out of the ground so powerful and tall though. He must work out something fierce. And eat nothing but healthy stuff. And, umm, drink all his milk.Â
While Goten and Trunks had been told stories about the androids already, because of their ages a lot of details had been left out for when they were older and Gotenks didnât closely look at every memory that wasnât necessary for the situation heâd been born into anyway. So right now he was coming up blank on the recognition front. âDude, if people call you that then Iâm not the first one to notice your skills! But you say youâve never played ball before so you must be crazy good at something else. Why did people start calling you that? And⊠whatâs with the sixteen part? Is it because youâre sixteen feet tall? Or like the sixteenth person in your family to have the same name as you? Thatâd be crazy.â
He inclined his head to acknowledge his sympathies toward his woes amongst peers, but also waved his hand dismissively. âEh. Forget about those punks. Iâve got nothinâ to prove to âem anyway. Iâm more interested in you now.â This time he nabbed the ball after another perfect throw and dribbled it back to where the man stood, throwing it up to the hoop. He missed, the ball bouncing off the backboard and sailing toward the ground, and Gotenks had to run for the ball again. âCan you tell me how you shoot it so easy?â
Android 16 had no recognition for the term âstreet nameâ nor âbirth certificateâ, and so only stared blankly at Gotenks as the small half-Saiyan spoke. He was manic in his speech, jumping from topic to topic as he seemed to dash around on the ground. Though 16 had no trouble keeping up, it did create a problem when the boy asked questions without waiting for answers. He settled on answering Gotenksâ final question first, and gently took the ball from the child.
âIt is not difficult,â he reaffirmed. âThis ball is 623.7 grams of weight, and possesses a circumference of about 24.38 centimeters.â He looked to the basket. âThere are 19.202 meters between the ball and the hoop. I analyze the air resistance and wind conditions to determine the necessary force. Then I can put into the hoop at an accuracy approaching 100%.â He did not feel the need to demonstrate, and handed the ball back to Gotenks.
âI am called 16 because I am the 16th of my line. There were 15 before me, and I was succeeded by Androids 17, 18, 19, and 20. I do not believe there are any after that, although I could be mistaken.â
secondsonboy:
Goten noticed Sixteen starting to peer off into the distance and tilted his head questioningly, before turning to try to follow the robotic gaze. In the daily rush and the majority of his time spent within the confines of city limits nowadays, he could almost forget how he enjoyed quiet moments like this. He stood side by side with the android, trying to see everything as if through his eyes. The view was breathtaking, mountains and forest stretching out toward a shining horizon. Yes⊠absolutely worth protecting, and absolutely in need of it. Nature couldnât protect itself against axes and pollution and gunfire.
When Sixteen spoke again, Goten turned partially to face him again, listening to his assessment quietly. It was harsh, or at least it seemed so to Goten, but he didnât leap to anyoneâs defense or so anything at all as he took a thoughtful pause and let the meaning of the words sink in. âWhat about androids? Do you have the capacity to make mistakes? To suffer for them?âÂ
It was an interesting question. Obviously 17 and 18, bolstered in some ways by their human sides, weakened in others, had the capacity to make mistakes. Dr. Gero himself had made mistake after mistake, even after upgrading his body to a more effective one. But 16 himself...
âMy core is among the most powerful computers in the world. I possess the ability to think in terms of nanoseconds, and perceive distance in micrometers. If I possessed knowledge of all variables in a situation, I do not think I would make mistakes.â 16 paused, looking thoughtful for a few moments, before speaking again. âIf I did not know every variable, it would make my judgments less precise.â
gotensxn:
Goten wrinkled his nose at the androidâs rather hasty refusal to go and see Bulma. She was his boyfriendâs mother, and someone who had always been there for Goten ever since he had been a baby. He could see no reason why she wouldnât be trust worthy, and 16âs reasoning wasnât really the best either. He hadnât been alive at the time, but Goten had heard stories of the fight against Cell â and there was no bomb on earth that would have been powerful enough to take him down.
âThen what about Gohan? Or even Trunks?â He was certain that both would be smart enough to figure that out. And- âIf that part of your programming was removed then you wouldnât be a threat anymore. And they could make sure nothing else was added into it too.â
The demi-saiyan doubted that the android would listen to him, but it was worth a try in his eyes.
âI am no threat,â 16 murmured with as  much adamance as he could muster, âand I do not wish to be reprogrammed. I do not think Gohan would reprogram me, and I have not seen the Trunks of this timeline since he was an infant. I do not know him.â Despite his figure, Android 16 was far from imposing to those who knew him. His gentle nature and light movements seemed to override his size.
Still, his will was as unbending as the steel that he called flesh, and he was stern in his expression. âEven if it were my immediate goal, I am no match for Son Goku. Even using every advantage available to me, such as his inability to detect my energy, my chances of killing him border on the statistically impossible.â
Mimicking the body language of the humans heâd observed, 16 stood up straight, his arms (so often hanging at his sides) crossed over his chest and the Red Ribbon Army emblem emblazoned on it.
