Poem By Hope Matthys :
She exhibits taste with her daring masculinity, and bursts into uncertainty as the soothing violence that breaks the toxic chain of skin deep insecurity.
A dare devil who satisfies my senses with her threatening presence when I present myself weak. Her skin isn’t bleak, it amplifies the marriage of ancient slavery footpaths and the bold broad reinstatement of the black and awake.
Brutally decorative and dramatic is her tongue yet crucially caring and sensitive to the young. Tomorrow they’re a legacy that fears becoming a part of the blend but remain the rich and strong African brew. Their mothers made dew.
An advocate with rebellion who trades herself into slavery only to poetically redefine thickness. Unapologetic bravery to suppress oppression. The ball of change is in her grand possession.
Pronounced is her words as her skin color but tailored to positivity is her objectivity and her children eat from her hand held responsibilities that trail endless harmony and fresh kept possibilities. She is an African Man. Gender and racial stereotypes here’s a choir of shut up because she can.
