Annoyed (but mostly hurt)

I hate being lied to. Anyone who really knows me knows that I hate it.

I found out that a really good friend has lied to me three time in the past month. He has no idea that I know he has lied to me and I probably won’t even try to talk with him about it. What upsets me most is that the lies were totally unnecessary. This leads me to believe that he must not care about me as much as I thought he did or as much as he has led me to believe all these years.

Addiction- whether it’s to drugs, sex, porn, reality TV, politics- is a bitch and I can’t compete. I struggle with vices of my own but I’ve never lied to him (unless you count this lie of omission of not telling him I know he has lied to me). I hope I can get over it and be able to maintain a friendship that has meant so much to me for so many years.
