“Soooo.. Are you allowed to leave or not?” he questioned with a chuckle as he gave the female a confused look. “Anyway, I ain’t surprised. Haven’t heard of a man– or woman, in your studios ever bein’ a slacker.” Producing his phone from his jacket pocket, Jay turned his focus from his friend to the screen to look up what restaurants were nearby. “BBQ it is. Think my stomach just growled, honestly.. Plus you can’t bethat bad. Doesn’t everyone in hip hop have some kind of basketball instinct or something? Actually, never mind. I remembered Loco’s just now.” He snorted softly, beginning to walk once the map on his cell popped up and glancing to Lydia to ensure she was following. “C’mon, shorty.”
“I can leave, sure. But I also should deserve and-or earn that leave. I guess you could say I earned this, I worked too damn hard today. This whole day I was just stuck on one beat and can’t get it any better.” Lydia looked up at the darkening sky and exhaled, shaking her mind of all work thoughts for the time being. “My stomach has been growling, I’m surviving on a banana, granola, and yogurt. This BBQ is a lil’ cheat on my diet but I couldn’t care less at the moment.” She turned her head to look at him, eyebrows raised. “Oh, I am that bad. I could probably bust some girls’ asses, but yours...nah. Pffft why, he bad?” Trying to peek at his phone screen, she caught up next to him as they walked in the direction of the restaurant.
