When Dean told Sean and Luke that he talked his weird aunt into letting them start summer break in her beachside house, Sean was ecstatic. He had spent most of the semester in the library and could use some time with his two best friends. Truth be told, they were Sean’s only friends if you don’t count his laptop and books almost permanently attached to his side.
When they arrived the tall, rail-thin nerd with mousey hair and brown eyes walked into the beach house soaking wet. Passing a mirror in the entry he sighed at how being drenched made his unremarkable features look even more unimpressive. When they realized the weather would be awful their entire stay he could tell Luke was in a poor mood about it. Dean, ever the positive light in the trio, reminded them that he brought enough board and video games that they wouldn’t even notice the weather.
While Dean started unpacking the entertainment, Sean went to go grab the guys a few snacks and sodas. Looking at Luke from the kitchen, Sean noticed his friend staring with annoyance out the window at the weather and the loud music coming from the house next door – a house with a group of loud, big, college boys. As the intimidating college dudes chuckled dumbly at the trio walking into the house earlier, Luke had warned the friends that the guys looked like they were up to no good. Sean passed it off knowing they’d stay inside the whole week anyway. He also thought to himself that it wouldn’t be bad seeing the studs running around next door. The thought of shirtless hunks made Sean sigh. Dean and Luke were amazing friends, but the three definitely looked like stereotypical losers.
Sean had turned on a Marvel movie as they sat down for a game of Monopoly. Dean and Sean tried to keep the conversation going, all the while the bodies of the guys next door weighing on Sean’s mind. The dance music of the party dudes got louder, causing the outside walls of the house boom. Luke blurted out how he wished they’d have as much fun as the guys next door, Sean shrugged and responded “Yeah, well, I wish we could look more like them.” Sean followed this with a lighthearted laugh.
Dean smiled uneasily at his friends and encouraged them to finish the game, trying to lighten the mood. Sean didn’t give his wish much thought, just an outburst of something on his mind. What the three didn’t realize was Dean’s weird Aunt was into mystical arts. Sean and Luke’s wishes were very strong feelings that unbeknownst to them were mixing with the energy Dean’s aunt left in the house.
A few hours later the friends decided it had been a long day and they should get some rest. Being smaller guys, Sean and Luke decided to share a bed so neither one of them would have to deal with the uncomfortable air mattress. Sean climbed into a double bed with Luke that night. He drifted off to sleep quickly thinking about the hunks next door, catching them shirtless, and how they looked partying to the music that was carrying him to sleep.
Sean dreamt of different gorgeous men than the three dudes next door, he was on a beach towel when two men joined him. The two men were muscled, had a beautiful amount of body hair and stubble, and they were cocky as hell. Sean felt himself drawn to the confidence of the one that had ink adorning his arm. As he touched and kissed the body the other man was drawn to the bulky, inked man as well. Sean knew he was dreaming, but he could feel the men rubbing against him as the scene played out on the beach. It felt somehow different, everything felt firmer, and there was more hair scraping against his face and body. The dream was blissful, but eventually faded and Sean heard a thud waking him. He had knocked something off the night stand. He felt strangely uncomfortable and was against his friend but was too groggy to make any sense of it. Sean turned on his side and went back to sleep.
Sean was gradually awakened by the sound of running water in the bathroom and the slam of the back door. The light coming through the curtain assaulted his eyes and heard one of his friends clomping around the house and turn on sports highlights on the television, turning the volume up. Sean groaned and loudly said “It’s too early for this you inconsiderate….” he trailed off and cleared his throat. His voice came out in smooth, unfamiliar baritone. Reaching up to his throat he felt a fair amount of stubble. Sean looked around and down, noticing his arm flexed with his hand still reaching up.
Startled, Sean stumbled out of bed and grasped his head feeling dizzy. He immediately felt longer hair. “What did they do to my hair?!” Sean hurriedly went out the door to the living area, noticing how much heavier his footsteps sounded. Distracted, he almost ran into the couch where a strange man sat. The man watching baseball news looked vaguely familiar and glanced over to Sean, “About time you stopped jackin off and got out of bed!” Seeing the man wearing Dean’s shorts made Sean wonder, “Uhh, Dean?” The man laughed, “too much blood still rushing to your dick?” Sean stared confused at the handsome, shirtless stud but instinctually barked, “fuck off!” and threw a pillow at his friend.
Sean made his way to the bathroom and his jaw dropped open, his much more chiseled jaw. His hand shot up to the perfectly trimmed beard that outlined the strongest jaw he’d ever seen. The eyes staring in the mirror incredulously where much brighter than the brown eyes he was used to seeing. Sean’s hand wandered down, his chest!
He played with his thick hair and flexed his abs. “What the hell?! I look like I came out of a magazine!” Sean looked down at his thick thighs and noticed how his chest rose and fell with each breath. He felt a palm firmly grasp his impossibly wide shoulder. “Why are you two so into yourselves today?!” Sean turned around to see Dean laugh. He noticed that he now had to look up slightly at Dean, his friend much taller than before. Dean shoved a pair of green shorts in Sean’s chest, “Here! Looks like the weather’s cleared, we’re getting out of here.” Sean smiled at his friend and followed him out to the garden, “Hell yeah we are!” Walking outside Sean tried to reason why he felt at ease with Dean and the situation when he saw another man in the garden. The hair, the bulky muscle, the tattoo, and the cockiness. He was…
Dean gave Luke a pair of shorts and simply asked “Beach?” Luke excitedly accepted, and fist bumped his bros. Sean laughed and said, “Only if we pick up some beers one the way!” Getting changed into the shorts Sean thought of his reaction, he hated beer. Why did he want nothing more than to down a few with his bros on the beach? He shook his head fixed his hair in a living room mirror, he had trouble pulling himself away from admiring and perfecting his reflection. Sean thought to himself that he should stop worrying and have some fun with this body. He looked back at Luke and Dean walking up to leave, he relaxed thinking this would be a perfect day.
Walking out Sean heard his bro, Luke start laughing. Looking at the direction that Luke was pointing he saw a group of insignificant, annoying losers staring at them. Luke taunted them, and Sean joined in laughing. He was forgetting that the losers’ fate was his just last night. Sean made eye contact with the awkward looking tall one, reached up to his own pec giving it a squeeze while flexing his bicep, laughing as the nerd scurried off. Sean forgot the envy that he felt for last night’s hunks, a new vain attitude overtaking his mind. He high fived Dean and Luke, excited for the fun they’d have tormenting the deserving losers this week.
Strutting down the beach Sean felt eyes staring at the trio from every direction. He subtly flexed his sculpted body with his friends as he wore a smug grin, never breaking into a full smile. Beer in tow, beautiful beach weather, and his equally perfect buds by his side, Sean was ready for his summer break!
