I bought this blueberry muffin from Starbucks fully intending to eat it immediately.
Instead, I pulled out my sketchbook.
A few minutes later I had a painting, a page full of questions, and somehow found myself wondering about air bubbles, streusel, blueberry stains, and why the berries don't all sink to the bottom.
It reminded me that curiosity thrills me. I love to deep dive on random topics.
I've been wanting to make more art that feels exploratory instead of performative… less about creating perfect finished pieces and more about slowing down enough to appreciate something ordinary.
This little muffin became the first page in what I'm calling Learning to Notice. 🌿
And because I know some of you are fellow planner nerds... I snuck in a tiny doodle tutorial at the end. 💜
What ordinary thing have you noticed lately?
