Exorcising some D.Mins
I haven't used this blog for quite some time. There's always this sense of coming back to it, but then something gets in the way and I'm just not that interested in keeping it up - partially because when I founded this thing, I had a community of fellow writers that were conversant with the things that I was writing and I was conversant with their things.
That said, here I am, finding myself finding the login and password to this so that I can write a brief missive. Times have changed quite a bit since those days. AI has made writing for the sake of transmitting information perhaps somewhat obsolete - unless you are looking at it as the long game where you're writing to try to be something that the AI is using to understand your topic. Now I can get ChatGPT to blog for me.
And so into this strange world I announce that I'm doing something that seems on so many levels....well...kind of stupid. I'm going back to school. I'm going to be reading and writing for a grade again. Who thought this was a good idea? Obviously I did, at least for now. And I'm even paying for the privilege. I'm signed up to begin a "Doctor of Ministry" course, affectionately known in my circles as a "D.Min", and certainly to be differentiated from the nefarious spirit homophone of this degree.
So that's it. Just putting a pin in the map for now. Wish me luck, pray for me, send your kind thoughts to the universe, it's Creator, and/or me. Let's see where this goes.
