What was it with people and their curiosity? Didn’t they know curiosity killed the cat? Changhyun wondered why hadn’t lashed out yet, better yet, killed the stranger. There wasn’t many in the world that could stop him from his rampage so it certainly did bring about some questions; unanswered, however. For a second there, he thought that maybe this person had mistaken him for his brother - they did resembled one another quite a bit; the resemblance was uncanny so he wouldn’t be surprised if Jonghyun had mistaken him for Yeongjin. But Yeongjin wasn’t Changhyun so he was still confused.
"I told you—" he started but obviously couldn’t get very far with the way he was being kissed—Changhyun’s eyes widened in disblief; how could anyone possibly do such a thing? First he was falsely assumed of being someone he wasn’t and now he was being literally, harassed? His initial reaction was to push the creep off him but his arms wouldn’t budge for some reason. Instead, he found himself kissing back. What the actual flying fudge—his head instantly veered back.
"Jonghyunnie, wait—" What. Where did he even get that name from? In that form. He couldn’t help but stare, wide eyed, at the other, mouth slightly agape, and face white like he’d seen a ghost. “I—”
Never mind the fact that Changhyun broke out of the kiss a little earlier than Jonghyun would have liked—the simple fact that the other was actually kissing him back for that brief moment was almost unbelievable to the younger boy. Hearing his name being called out right after was even more surprising. Did he slip up from his supposable prank? Or could it be that he was finally starting to remember what he’d forgotten?
Either way, it made Jonghyun thrilled to hear the other call him by his name like always. Jonghyun's hands made their way down Changhyun’s torso, encircling the other’s waist with his arms. He pulled him closer, making sure that the empty space separating the two disappeared almost completely. Jonghyun couldn’t remember if he had ever been this intimate with his boyfriend before—shame that it had to be during a time when Changhyun could barely remember who he was. His kiss obviously sparked something, however; so why use a different strategy when this one seemed to be working just fine? Plus Jonghyun couldn’t deny that he enjoyed kissing the other. Cough.
The taller boy brought a hand up to Changhyun’s chin, allowing him to tilt the other’s face towards his own. "Say my name again," Jonghyun instructed the other, though soon after he moved forward and took Changhyun's lips in his own once again. His soft lips made Jonghyun crave for more, causing him to tilt his head eagerly into their kiss. He wondered why he rarely did this with his boyfriend before—it only made him realize how much he had been missing out on.
chunji avoiding a head-on collision… and then acting like it never would have happened
"No," he refuted, clearly looking annoyed. If he wasn’t before then he certainly was now. Changhyun nearly wanted to lash out at the other but for some reason, a part of him just refused to. Which was weird because he usually gave little to no cents about the way he acted, especially when it involved violence. "I’m pretty sure you got the wrong person because I’ve never seen you in my entire life."Â
And the fact that this person had to bend to see him at an eye level just made him feel slightly inferior. He wasn’t short! Just slightly… below average… Cough. Changhyun pouted but kept a steady glare at the other. “No, I don’t know you. I’ve never met a Jonghyun in my life, now can you please let go of me?”
The unpleasant feeling in Jonghyun's stomach intensified once he heard the other's cold response. He wasn't used to Changhyun being so harsh with him-- as a matter-of-fact, this was a first. There was about 10% of optimism left in Jonghyun; maybe somehow this was all just a prank. He hoped his cheerful boyfriend would return and suddenly laugh at the situation, possibly even make fun of him for taking everything so seriously. Then again, there was also the chance that Changhyun wasn't lying. With something so serious, why would he make a joke of it?
Jonghyun had nothing but confusion surrounding his thoughts. He wasn't sure if he should continue badgering the boy until something came out, or leave him alone altogether. Though the thought of losing his boyfriend made his chest ache. His grip on the other boy's shoulders tightened; he wasn't going to give up yet. "Changhyun, I... I still don't believe you." Closing the gap between the two, Jonghyun pressed his lips on the smaller boy's forcefully, half expecting himself to get pushed right off.
Yeah, from a monk in the temple when they advertised for him to join—cough. I mean. Changhyun knitted his brows, staring hesitantly at the bracelet around his wrist. Where did he get it? Something was just wrong here, he couldn’t remember which was weird… “I—” he cleared his throat and tried again. But the words were stuck in a lump in his throat, it had him wondering if he was missing a big chunk of something important. “I don’t know… must’ve been a gift from someone, but why does that even matter? Jeez, it’s not like you gave it to me.”
"What..." Yeah, It's not like he did, right? Though Jonghyun soon found the bracelet as the least important of the matter. He couldn't understand why the other boy chose to do this now. Had his boyfriend really forgotten about him? If that was the case, why? Just the thought alone made the pit of Jonghyun's stomach feel incredibly vile. Exhaling rather pathetically, Jonghyun placed his hands on Changhyun's shoulders and brought himself down to eye level with the other. "Changhyun, I think I know who my boyfriend is, I'm not crazy. It's me, Jonghyun. Jong. Hyun. Why can't you remember?"
His eyes narrowed as soon as he felt fingers on his cheek and hell only broke loose when it was stretched. Changhyun quickly swatted the offending fingers away but not before shooting a glare in the stranger’s way. “I don’t even know you, so don’t say my name so lightly. Who are you anyway? You’re not my boyfriend, I don’t have one.”
Jonghyun's brows furrowed in utter confusion upon hearing the other boy's response. "Changhyun, what are you-- If this is a joke then you can quit it right now because it isn't funny at all." He looked down at Changhyun's wrist and spotted the bracelet he gave him on new years. "That bracelet you're wearing-- do you remember where you got it?"
