{🍀} “You… You’ve gotta be kidding me, right?” Clover had run into some strange things in the short time she’d been in this weird place, but this… was just insane. Some crazy-looking robot-person, with a gun on his face… that was just insane, right? There was no way this was real, right?

       Jyuzo just chuckled at this one. This girl seemed absolutely shook. He wasn’t used to seeing someone stare this hard. She couldn’t even seem to muster the strength to formally ask him what was going on with his dome.

      “It’s a gun, sweetheart”, Jyuzo answered quite bluntly this time around. “My head is a gun. The name’s Jyuzo”, he spoke out again, introducing himself this time. Whether or not the girl would speak back was up to her.

Blessed be this day. Perhaps having commoners biscuits tainting his skin wasn’t ALL that bad of an idea… Or maybe it was. Who knows. My Gods this man’s  “shape” was gorgeous. He’s not even making eye contact–if that was even possible from the start.

“ Only one? Such a shame. I have all these pocky-treats and you’re the only one brave enough to take one. I would so HATE to waste them all… ”

        Jyuzo chomped the treat down, and began shuffling through his jacket pocket, pulling out his box of cigarettes. He pulled one stick out and placed it in the same spot on King Knight’s chest that the pocky had been. 

        “I’m not too big on sweets”, Jyuzo admitted, leaning his head forward and grabbing the cigarette from between King Knight’s pecs with his large metal chompers. 

       “But I can always go for a smoke, y’know”, Jyuzo said with a taunting voice, lighting the smoke up in his mouth. It was almost a little too easy.

Suddenly, she felt like an idiot. That, and an asshole. Who goes around asking about people’s heads? Sure, if they were glowing or on fire or something, but…the guy didn’t have a normal head. It was a gun! And it was super tempting to just reach up and pull the trigger…but she knew better.

Folding her arms over her chest, she looks up to the other and listens to him, watching his head the entire time. After a moment, she nods.

“Right. Well, of course people die - it’s a gun. I mean, you’re a gun. Right! You’re a gun..” Shut up, Kate. Where are his eyes? Shut up, Kate.

“Uh, I don’t think I need anymore details. Just - that’s crazy. But in a good way. It’s really unique.Your head, I mean.”

      Crazy. That was new. He normally gets ‘scary’ or ‘cool’. He had never thought he’d add ‘crazy’ to the list. Jyuzo took another long draw from his cigarette, puffing the smoke out, and looking down at the girl, his barrel pointing down her way. He tossed that word around in his head for a minute. Unique, huh? 

        “Unique is a pretty good way to put it, I guess. Thanks, lady”, Jyuzo took her rambling and trying not to offend him as a compliment. She definitely was trying a lot harder to be considerate than most people were out the gate. He could respect that, at least.

    There were many in the city who were unique in their own ways. In this place, it was no surprise to see others dressed as if they came from a different time, or had different skin, or even smelled like something Uta had never encountered before. And this particular person, or rather this particular being, carried the smell of something unfamiliar underneath that initial scent of human. Wherever he was (and he definitely smelled like a male), Uta wanted to see him. What sort of face matched the strange aroma?

    Uta walked block after block attempting to track down the person. What with the fragrance being obstructed by human food, other humans, and other beings that were not humans, it took him quite a few different paths to finally meet this person face-to-face. And once he did, his head would tilt. He’d blink a few times. Attempt to make sense of it. Was that a gun on his face?

    “Has anyone ever told you how fascinating you look?” he asked, seemingly out of nowhere. They had never spoken before, nor had they even seen each other before. There was no denying that Uta was definitely more open to speaking with strangers than others might be. “Did you create that on your own?” He asked again, pointing directly to his face.

       “Nah, nobodies ever mentioned my looks before”, Jyuzo answered the strange man, who he’d noticed had been creeping up behind him for about a block now. He of course was being snarky, not sure if he should trust this guy or not. He plopped a cigarette into his mouth, taking a draw and puffing out a grey cloud in between the two of them. A finger laid on the other side of the smoke, pointing towards his steel junction of a face.

       “I didn’t make this, I was made into this”, Jyuzo answered. He’d never quite explained this to anyone before because no one had ever asked. It was always just ‘why is your head like that’ or ‘what does your head do’. It was refreshing to answer a new question for once. 

      “I’m a Gun Slave Unit, a man turned machine to be used as a weapon on the fields of war. We worked with partners, sharp shooters to pull our triggers. This was just the way we were designed, I guess”, Jyuzo explained, taking another long draw from his smoke after he finished speaking. He studied the man up and down in front of him, mostly noticing his strange eyes. 

       “What about you? You make your eyes look like that?”, Jyuzo asked, folding his arms and leaning up against the building. He wasn’t in much of a rush anywhere, so he figured he could indulge the stranger for a moment.

It was impolite to stare. Several times already, she had to look away from the man aside from her. This shouldn’t have surprised her, as object heads were somewhat normal back home. But he had no eyes - just…a gun. Tapping the side of her face, she looks to her feet.

The light couldn’t change any faster.

“You’re probably gonna hate me, but…what happens if that trigger is pulled?”

Dammit.

       Jyuzo sighed. It was always one of three questions; what was on his head, why was that on his head, or what does his head do. He wondered how familiar people were with guns in this world. Of course, it was always a toss up, depending on the place the citizen came from. He looked slightly to his right, not quite making eye contact with the girl but making sure she heard his voice. 

       “Well it depends on what’s in the way when ya pull the trigger. Most of the time, someone dies. Been a long time since that, though”, Jyuzo answered. digging in his coat pocket for a cigarette. He drew one out, lighting it and placing it into his steel trap. 

      “Need more details?”

      “Agh... Damn!”, Jyuzo shouted, a pain searing through his off hand. He raised the back of his palm to see what the pain was stemming from, only to find a question mark singed against the dull metal hand. Followed by his confusion was a text, explaining everything, along with the weird situations popping off across the city. The text came off as a challenge, and Jyuzo couldn’t help but want to face it head on. 

       “Guess I better get movin’...”, Jyuzo muttered as he headed for the door of his apartment. A pack of smokes and a strange symbol would be all he needed in tow for today.

       Jyuzo had set out that night with the intention of getting unbelievably hammered. Not like, the hammer on the back of his gun head, but through lots of booze. He’d had a bit of a slow week which led to a lot of personal contemplation and issues he was finding with himself, so he decided to have a night to himself to just get drunk and forget about it. No one had been contacting him for services, and he couldn’t entirely blame the city. If his home was filled with people with extraordinary powers like this place had, no one would probably need his limited set of bullet based skills either. 

       His self worth and lack of guidance in his career was something for another night, tonight was a night to drown in as much booze as possible. His coat flicked off the hook as he left through his apartment door. His large arms found their way into his jacket and a cigarette found it’s way to his steel jaw, smoke trailing behind him. He normally liked to head out on a Sunday night. Nobody was quite out this late, not in Sector 3 at least. It was too dangerous for a normal person, but Jyuzo made it just fine. It was even considered a bonus if he could get in a fight before he got home. 

       Jyuzo swung the doors to the bar open. He was a fan of the place, even if it was a bit out of the way in Sector 3. Most people in here never gave a shit and their eyes didn’t wander. That was always nice, to enjoy a drink without someone gawking at him. Jyuzo secured his seat at the bar, asking the man at the bar to bring him a whole bottle of jack and one shot glass. The man was hesitant, but not many questioned Jyuzo, not with his looks. He started with 2 shots but eventually skipped the glass and just started hitting the bottle. He could feel himself getting there when he saw it. The look. 

        He’d never seen someone eye him as hard as this before, and THAT’S saying something. The man was in the silliest cowboy get up that Jyuzo had ever witnessed, and even had a dusty carpet slung over himself. He turned his head and pointed his barrel down at him. A lot of people seemed to have a fear of his barrel, the way it stared folks down wasn’t exactly inviting. It was like looking down a real gun... But this guy didn’t seem to have that... fear, of Jyuzo. Just, a look of wonder.

       “... Can I help you, pal?”, Jyuzo asked, his right arm still gripping onto his bottle.
