leo hunting parrot is actually terrifying, the music selection is some horror game shit

parrot begging for his life is actually so sad. and i can't even be mad at leo for wanting parrot dead because he really did lose everything. the team that he is responsible for is in pieces, the base itself is blown to bits, and his best friend is dead. and not even twenty minutes ago, his teammate (jumper) was threatened by parrot himself. yeah technically it's not parrot's fault but the director was after him the whole time, not bat. how is he, as the leader, supposed to help parrot at the expense of his team?

• "the moment we're done with the director, i'll never talk to you again, i'll never have anything to do with bat."

jumper, derapchu, and rekrap are back!! i love them they're the silliest and derapchu and jumper seeing each orher and immediately throwing hands

wifies and his beacons. wifies emphasizes symbolism and that's exactly why his storytelling is peak

ken is actually such an understanding person. horace joins the mafia (with good reason) and ken sticks up for him.

• wato says "there's no one i really care about in the mafia" and ken says "there's horace" (which is also funny because wato doesn't care about horace but ken does, so he reminds wato of horace like they're one individual. if ken cares about someone then they BOTH care)

• parrot says "they deserve to die" and ken says "i don't know about deserve." like yes of course parrot's anger is valid but horace just wanting to do what he likes peacefully with his friends is so justified and ken reminds everybody of that even when horace isn't there to defend himself

and also yes ken was mad at the warriors for a while but he says he never holds grudges for long and forgave them after they apologized. kenadian is actually such a good person

i love that theo always backs parrot up. like theo told purpled it was parrot that got them out alive instead of taking credit even though he's a council member

the amount of joy i received when i heard wifies's voice only for it to be immediately crushed by parrot flying away to not talk to him

OH MY GODD the way each "hi" gets progressively softer ohhhh he nailed every apology, the downward tilt in his tone OUGH and the stutter is so well placed i replayed this so many times

and parrot sounds so tired

• "i didn't realize what it meant to you. and i wasn't thinking about it how you thought about it-"

• "-and i'm sorry."

and 20 minutes later, at the farmer faction with ken and wato, parrot says to wifies "nobody asked for your opinion" GENUINELY my jaw dropped. and ken and wato going DEAD silent like hell nah they're fighting 😭

it feels so weird listening to parrot and wifies argue

and after, parrot says "why does it matter to you though?" and i just wonder, in that pause before wifies's response, if he considered all the answers that he could've (should've) said. because you saved me in the past so i want to help you? because you broke into secure prisons for me, went on the run from deadly players with me, almost died for me? because you're my best friend? parrot OF COURSE IT MATTERS TO HIM YOU MATTER TO HIM

but wifies says "i'm here too right? i'm part of this thing now" and his voice shakes a little and it reminds me of that part of the monologue by monica in shameless when she says "i'm here now, and liam belongs with me"

oh and parrot just refuses to address the elephant in the room, he doesn't want to talk to wifies about what happened on the way to the farlands and about DEAN

• "do you have to practice?"

• "i'm gonna try-"

• "do you want me to help you practice-?"

• "no! no. i'll figure it out myself."

IM SICK parrot said no so fast. and wifies just lets him have his way but puts the offer for help out there

i guess it's not really silent treatment but i can't find a better way to describe the situation. but OUGH wifies doing anything for parrot to forgive him and all he gets is parrot and his scrutinizing tone. like "about what?" i'd genuinely just cry
