Used a quote from Glee to test out lip syncing on Adobe Animator, which was actually so fun.
Audio is slightly out of sync lol
Adobe Animate - Easing
A quick task we completed, just showing the bare basics of easing.
Second Attempt(?)
Wanted to mess around with the warp tool on photoshop a bit and make some movement with the smoke cloud. Not exactly too happy with it but if I was to add a few more frames into the cloud I think it could turn out a bit more fluid.
Mob Psycho 100 Animated Poster
For my piece, I was initially inspired by the opening animated sequence from âAlice: Madness Returnsâ and itâs very flat, paper puppet style.
After finishing this, I must say Iâm not too happy with it. In hindsight I feel like going with a paper cut out animation may have suited the piece a lot better. I donât know, I feel as though I could have done more with it given the right tools.
It still was definitely a fun project!
Mob Psycho 100 II - Animated Movie Poster
The complete brief, I must animate a poster of my choosing and create movement.

Great Pretender Opening Theme - WIT Studios
Netflixâs âGreat Pretenderâ is a stunningly beautiful series with great visuals, music and design. Itâs opening theme is reminiscent of classic 2D animated themes from the 60s such as the The Pink Panther. With the music as well, my first thought was the also the Monsterâs Inc opening credits.
Instead of using a vocal song that is typically used in anime OP sequences, the studio decided to instead use the series main OST which I honestly believe was the best choice, as it gives the sequence a more âmatureâ theme.
Each transition is done very well and provides a fluid retelling of key elements within each story arc, without giving away too much detail of the story to spoil the audience.
Fake Movie Posters
By far the funniest thing I have ever posted. I never realised how technical movie posters/DVD covers are until I attempted to make one.
I had an initial doodle for posing and text positions for the end product, but when it comes to lighting, colours, text and layering itâs a real process.
A couple of posters I found a bit of inspiration from. I enjoy the doodle like notebook theme from âTo all the Boys I Loved Beforeâ (TATBILB) specifically. And both have colours that really capture the aspects of the movie which was something I really could not figure out. For example :
The pink and purples for the text on âTATBILBâ give the energies of romance, specifically of those of a young girl. This is, of course, up to speculation but the placing the writing on the background of the white lined paper pushes the idea of it being a love letter.
Orange is said to be spontaneous and energetic colour, which can be in reference to Junos unplanned pregnancy. It has also been connected with young people.
Who Framed Roger Rabbit & Eye Lines
As a way to keep the interaction between the actors such as Bob Hoskins, and the âtoonsâ look as realistic as possible, there was a major focus on keeping the characters eyes in line with each other
For example, in the animated sequences of Mary Poppins, Julie Andrews will sometimes just not make eye contact or even be looking at the characters she is meant to be interacting with, which can destroy the illusion.

Graphic Design Artist Inspiration - Dani Donovan ( @danidonovan )
An incredible graphic designer and artist that is trying to de-stigmatise ADHD. I find her work not on only incredibly interesting and aesthetically pleasing to look at, I also find the topics she creates her comic/designs quite parallel my project âMovement in Mindâ.
The pieces depict a simplified view of ADHD, and while ADHD in itself can be very complicated, it doesnât make the diagnosis something to impossible understand. In my personal experience with family w/ ADHD, there was a lot of unknowing on how to âdealâ with the person, instead of trying to learn and help them.
The graphics often present two distinct views of someone with and without ADHD, or explain certain experiences of those with ADHD.
