PERSPECTIVE: 2 yrs ago (on the left) to the day my mom was taking me to get a double epidural the pain in my lower back due to 2 herniated discs and and #fibromyalgia. I weighed 240lbs - give or take and hurt all over. #Today I weigh 185lbs and doing what I love and being creative. I could not have achieved this without all of the #love, support and occasional meal to help me turn my pain and anxiety into a happier and healthier person! Hands down yesterday was one of the best days of my life! I got the very rare chance to visit with one of my idols and role models as an #activist and #photojournalist Kay LaHusen. We talked about documenting the lgbt movement, her life partner Barbara Gittings and current affairs in the world. To top it off, she gave me a copy of the #USConstitution!!
