i finally got my butt in gear and remade all my zan icons
hello hello there, iâm kendal! iâm a constantly tired 18 year old college student studying astrophysics. iâm super new to this mfrp but i have been in several before so if you recognize me, itâs nice to see you again! iâm really excited to be here with my actual beautiful famous child, and i hope you guys will welcome me! my twitter is here if anyone is interested but beware, i tweet A LOT. i will most likely be plotting with people who want to thread with me asap! as soon as midterm week is over, iâll attempt to post a starter call but until then, feel free to message me if you want to thread! thank you lovelies!
Titus has held Zanâs hand many times in the past. there is no denying that many of those times held very little meaning. it was never an act of love or obligation, but rather necessity. in an unfamiliar place such as the labyrinth with its traps, uneven floors, and winding staircases Zan often required help, a service the thief would always volunteer himself for. really, this should have been the last of his worries back then, but he remembers feeling the oddest sense of pride bloom in his chest. he remembers Zanâs hands much smaller and colder in his and is greeted with the same sensation now as the older man takes them.Â
his breath catches in his throat as he watches Zan, warmth spreading through him and tinting his cheeks pink as his lips meet the rough skin of his knuckles.
heâs thankful for the cover of darkness, but knows heâll have a hard time hiding his quickened heart rate from the other. gently, he squeezes Zanâs hands and pretends like he canât still feel the ghost of Zanâs lips. âCouldnât sleep anyway,â he comments, clearing his throat. âSo, Iâm all yours. Uhâ I mean, my attentionâs yours for the long story.â
Zan knew that his simple yet expressive gesture was going to fluster the other and if the situation was not as momentous as it was, he would speak of the conspicuous devotion that Titus held for himâsure, Zan may have had a lot of followers and admirers throughout the nation but this was far different from anything else in his opinion. The way that Titus spoke of Zan, the overprotectiveness that he publicized often and the affection that he showed was enough for him to comprehend Titus's true feelings. However, Zan couldn't deny that he was beginning to warm up to Titus, obvious by the way he responded by gripping the thief's hands tighter as well, allowing a somber smile to adorn his visage with an inaudible sigh as he took a short moment to collect himself before commencing the story.
âI grew up in the lowest class possible in Oct Nocte with my stepfather and cruel mother who didnât allow me to go outside whatsoever so I spent my time singing to the birds that would fly through the window of my bedroom. A lot of the townspeople heard this and began spreading rumors about me and because of this, my stepfather decided that I would start singing for money on the streets,â Zan paused for a moment, voice beginning to tremble.
âMother didnât approve of my stepfatherâs idea and began to scream at the both of us, calling me a demon and the like. Since she was out most of the time, usually drunk, my stepfather started to allow me to sing on the streets where I started to get a lot of attention. But I soon realized why mother called me a demonâI could see things that normal people couldnât such as ghosts, impurity, ill fortune and the moment a person dies.â Though it sounded far-fetched, it was nothing but the truth, not one that many would believe but Zan believed that Titus would.
âI began to make my first friends that enjoyed my singing as well and I only continued to do it to make them happy. Iâd even sing when mother beat me. When I befriended a family of merchants, I saw their death on the path that they were going to take to deliver goods to another town so I warned them, like any person would do for the sake of their friends. They listened to me, but news came back that they were ambushed by bandits and murdered. After that, the townsfolk resented me. Word got to my mother and she attempted to gouge my eyes out. My stepfather managed to stop her rampage and we decided to seal my eyes for good.â This topic proved to be rather difficult for Zan to discuss, but he pushed forward, hoping to manage explaining the rest of the story.Â
âMy mother had been addicted to the vemicuras and after the king forbade it, she became increasingly more violent and eventually abandoned us. My stepfather and I lived peacefully and I gained more popularity and began to perform on bigger and grander stages, which my mother caught wind of. She came to visit me and told me that I need to get a tattoo on my body that would serve as a sealing spell for my demonic blood. She said that no one would ever love me once they saw my true self and the tattoo.â Zanâs breath and hands both began to shake immensely as he hung his head, only waiting to hear how Titus felt of his melancholy past that still continued to haunt him to this day.
â... Due to my mother and the townsfolk, I truly believe that Iâm a demon. So whenever you call me an angel, I...â Zan stopped mid-sentence, the grip on Titusâs hands loosening as the room fell silent but all he could hear was the sound of his own heart pounding in his ears due to the overwhelming nostalgia that he was currently experiencing.
{ i decided to make a little aesthetic board for the event for my child that i posted over on my twitter as well! of course heâs going to dress extra af because thatâs just who he is. thank you for this event tori!Â
the silence scares him. this is Zan Audupon, a man he has idolized and looked up to for so long. anyone who can grow up from nothing and make it big earns his respect and the last thing Titus wants to do is make him upset. perhaps he may have been able to deal with it before the castle, but after all they had been throughâŠand now that they share a room, share a bedâ he fears heâll slip up and say the wrong thing like he so often does.
and when Zan speaks, his stomach lurches. itâs a sensitive subject. Titus hears a myriad of unidentifiable voices in his head: stupid, stupid, stupidâ
he tugs at his own hair gently. donât let those thoughts in.
âZanâŠâ Titus reaches his hand out in a move to place it over Zanâs, butâ he retracts it before making contact. he isnât good with this âheart-to-heartâ crap. he snorts in laughter and shakes his head. âThink badly of you? Youâre forgetting Iâm the greatest thief from back home! âSides, I could never think badly of you.â
youâre my angel, remember?
The hush in the room lingers moments before Titus finally speaks up causes Zan to fret as if he were worried that his words might have offended, but heâs relieved as he feels the other shifting, a presence of another hand hovering above his own, but their skin of contrasting temperatures never makes contact. What Titus utters is undoubtedly, more or less, soothing in an abnormal way that Zan can't seem to interpret at the moment, so he pushes that thought aside for later as he worries at his bottom lip, allowing the silence to deafen the two of them once more with a hurried attempt in finding words. Zan gently shifts to where he's sitting up on their bed slightly more, extending his hands out to grab both of Titus's, the warmth reassuring any anxiety that had been building up due to this entire situationâand with a swift and gradual movement, Zan presses a few tenderhearted kisses to the tops of his companion's knuckles, returning the kind gesture Titus once provided Zan with back in the castle.Â
âSomething told me that you were going to say that.â Zan jokes with a laugh, lifting his head up as he continues to hold onto Titusâs hands gently. âI suppose Iâll tell you but itâs an awfully long story if you donât plan on going back to sleep anytime soon.â Though he hesitated, Zan truly did not mind explaining his origins to the thief since he trusted and treasured Titus immensely.Â
what a pair they are. a criminal and a celebrity, yet both are oddly similar. both are only human and humans have quite a bit of flaws; humans could be plagued by nightmares, plagued by curiosity, plagued by anxieties. no matter how different they seem on the outside, the two share flaws and this fact calms the thief just a bit as he turns on his side and props his head up with his hand.
âNah, I justââ he pauses and picks at the bed sheets. how does he bring it up? hey, Zan, I noticed you have a giant damn tattoo on your back. whatâs up with that? he sighs and groans lightly, fixing his eye on Zanâs pillow, avoiding his face. âBack when we got out of the castle, I sawâŠyour tattoos. I donât care what they mean or why you got âem or anything, I justâ Iâve been curious.â another pause and he flicks his gaze over Zanâs form, wondering if heâd gone too far. âFeel free to kick me outta bed if that was, uhâŠintrusive.â big word.
Zan was attentive to Titusâs words despite just barely waking up only not a minute ago, making an effort to fully wake himself since the other did truly seem perturbedâbut the inquiry that Titus made was enough to make him snap out of his weary daze as his expression hardened. Zan sunk into the bed slightly, falling silent only for a moment to allow himself to find words in order to respond to Titus, not in a panic as to not alarm his companion.
â... Do you really wish to know?â It was quite obvious that Zanâs voice was trembling slightly, but he swallowed the lump in his throat, pushing his negative feelings aside for the time being as hard as it was. âIt wasnât intrusive. I just hope me explaining what has happened to me in the past wonât make you think badly of me.â Zanâs words were genuine, as he truly feared and believed that Titus would think any different of him if he had learned the truth once and for all.Â
anyone who has ever shared a bed with Titus knows that he is a very deep sleeper. he falls asleep almost as soon as his head hits the pillow, he snores, he drools, he clings. however, tonight he has something on his mind thatâs preventing him from falling asleepâ something heâs not sure he has the right to ask about or not.
so, he continues to fidget and keeps sneaking glances at the male beside him, silently wondering if he was asleep yet or not.
Zan had been in and out of sleep for quite some time now, due to the nightmares that plagued his dreams nearly every night but he attempted to not make it obvious that he was disgruntled to Titus, who lay right beside him, surprisingly not resting at the moment. It was clear that something was bothering the other and naturally, Zan was worriedâhe knew that Titus was troubled often but there was something on his mind that was inconveniencing him.Â
âIs something the matter, Titus?â Zanâs voice came out soothing, hardly above a whisper as to not startle the other (since he knew how scared Titus could get) and turned his head to where Titus lay.
Yusuke should likely have been more concerned over waking up in a strange new place. After all - who could say this Stella City wasnât just another part of the Metaverse? Granted, it seemed peaceful, but for someone whoâd spent the last few months fighting monsters created by distorted cognitions, he was exceptionally calm. His mind was focused on other things. Presently, the soft flow of a gentle blue that could only be compared to a peacefully cloudy sky.Â
The way that personâs hair flowed was the quintessence of serenity. Yusuke had to capture it. With no hesitation, he approached the stranger with an intense, determined expression. âPardon my intrusion, but⊠you would make an excellent model. I am on a journey to discover and capture the human heart; to paint the ultimate piece of expression. If I may ask, would you be interested in being the subject for my next piece?â
Time was often spent contemplating if this world was indeed secure or not, though, from his sixth sense, Zan felt as if the latter was not true, or so he hopedâthough strange things had happened to the individual, this quite honestly topped everything. Being transported and arising in an unusual and foreign society was never something that one could easily speak of, or act as if it were to be a routine occurrence and it only caused Zan to be slightly anxious, though he would not deny that the residents were relatively good-natured and gregarious. He found that they made great company, even if they were just dabbling in simple small talk.
Nevertheless, Zan felt as if this world, along with its townsfolk, were quite peculiar, putting it mildly but he did not disapprove it in the slightest; this was one of those ordinary interactions where Zan expressed obvious interest in the other that he spoke to. As Yusuke began to converse, Zan turned his head towards the source of the voice, intently harking his words with an apparent smile adorning his features.
âA model, you say?â Zan inquired, not being able to help a nearly inaudible laugh. That was a first.  âIâll gladly accept. You seem to be quite the passionate person. I, too, am an artist of sorts so I will help a colleague without hesitation.â
Carrying Titus wasnât that difficult for Allen. Heâd carried two full grown men while injured in the past. So piggybacking one guy wasnât that hard. He was pretty much a dead weight, though. He didnât mind too terribly, though.
âSoâŠ.Zan. How long have you two known each other? You seemed rather close.â
Zan reckoned he was simply being a liability to his new acquaintance despite the other not seeming to mind in the slightestâit truly was a courteous gesture from Allen to offer carrying Titus home and guiding Zan back but he was unsure how to show his gratitude at the moment.
âWe did not know each other too long before coming here, but he had snuck into my greenroom at one point and after that, I could never forget his footfall and voice.â A hand was currently resting on Allenâs shoulder very gently, kept there so he did not possibly lose his way.Â

âWe do it when something good happens. Like, if we pull of a big heist, apart from partying and celebrating, weâll high-five. The lil ones especially love it. Jeez, for a celebrity, you sure donât know a lot, huh?â
Titus chuckles, loving every second of this, though he canât see someone so prim and proper like Zan high-fiving very often. slowly, gently, loosely, he wraps a hand around Zanâs wrist to help guide his hand.
âAlright, ready?â andâ he hits their hands together, gently (he could never think of hurting Zan purposefully!). âThere!â
Hearing Titus speak of his life before being chosen as an emperorâs candidate and far before this strange city was almost like a breath of relief for Zanâ admittedly, it was nice to hear and he could easily tell that Titus enjoyed it.
After feeling their hands gently hit together, Zan couldnât help but to smile, âI feel like if I were to ever âhigh fiveâ somebody, I wouldnât be able to aim at their hand very well.â
âYeah, butââ he stops when he realizes he canât possibly refute his point. now, how to explain a high five⊠it was justâ a high five! he ponders it for a few moments before speaking again.
âOkay! Just, uh, put your hand up, fingers straight up, hand facing outwards to me. Andâ
ââŠIâm gonna hit itâŠwith my hand.â now that he thinks about, it sounds really bizarre.
Zan obliges with an uncertain expression, tilting his head slightly to the side in obvious confusion.
âWhy do people do this?â That really does sound quite odd. Good job, Titus.Â
âHuh?â the thief sounds astounded when he speaks and he glances at the celebrity in surprise. âWhat do you mean you donât know what a âhigh fiveâ is?â
âYou must have forgotten that we led utterly different lives, Titus.â There are so many things he doesnât know yet. Oh boy.
⥠: Is there a certain scent that brings about nostalgia? If so, describe a memory this scent brings back.
this is going to be under a read more for drug abuse of a fictional drug and physical/mental/emotional abuse. just a warning before anyone decides to read!
while there are many scents that may bring happy memories to zan, the scent of the vemicuras flower can bring up many thoughts of his childhood, though it is rare to find the flower since the king ended up foreboding it. the vemicuras is a strong drug that zanâs mother used to abuse and was almost constantly under the effects of it, even when she was physically harming zan. smelling the vemicuras will cause these memories to resurface and trigger his abilities that he had as a childâzan could see ghosts, impurity, ill fortune and the moment one dies despite him no longer having his eyesight. because of this strange ability he had as a child, his mother always referred to him as a demon and so did the rest of the townsfolk when zan had warned a group of merchants of their death if they were to travel a certain path, only to find out that they had listened to him and decided to go another way and got ambushed by bandits and were murdered.Â
