"Hellllooo-" Kadir declared as he let himself into the other's apartment and pointed behind him with his thumb, "did you know your door was unlocked? You should really be more careful, just about anyone could walk in here." Kadir was feeling... He was managing, the regiment that he had put himself under was working most of the time; he felt truly fortunate to finally be able to use his own body and metabolism as a guinea pig for different experiments. The leech needed to find a way to manage his more violent impulses long-term, what better way than to attend an event crowded by supernaturals. "Is this what you're wearing?" Kadir wasn't criticizing, there was a coffee stain on his cuffed jeans but he was suddenly wondering if he was underdressed; he'd missed Lupercalia because he was trapped underground completely petrified last year.

Juno had carved out a place of affection for the spirits in her obsidian heart, affection had never come easy for her -- to bind yourself to another meant a surrendering of self and for too long it had been a man's world. The modern world nauseated her at times, what good were men if they weren't screaming? Her father who wasn't good for much was good for enticing terror at least. The spirits that haunted Rome were fragments and manifestations of the soul, emotions and energy that held on long past expiration. "Are you excited for the upcoming mud wrestling tournament?" an inflection in her voice that meant she held the event with contempt and amusement.
Gone were the days when the scientist needed to rest, the vampire could just work and work until the arbitrary labor laws forced him to go home for a few days. Legislation still needed to catch up with The Eye's progress, but Kadir was looking forward to the day when a ninety-nine-hour workday wasn't so frowned upon. He had work to do. It felt good to be behind a microscope again, to be doing the thing that he had been born to do: create, innovate, design, and think outside the box. The Future had taught him so much, and while Sanem went off to save the world, Kadir remained behind to work with what she had left him. Morality was a social construct, a tedious one at that, but at least now he got to stick and poke lycans at the clinic a few times a week.
Kadir's thirst was what he needed to be mindful of. The leech wasn't accustomed to vampirism, least of all the more depraved end of it. When he forgot to eat he became temperamental; his watch beeped and he smiled past the archfiend as he tipped a flask of the synthetic cocktail of platelets and dead cells into the drink that he was previously served.
"I'll have to guard my little kispet tight." Kadir smiled towards the tincture of spiked alcohol danced amber and crimson in the glass. He blinked a few times, gaze ajar from the original vampire as he looked away from her. Kadir was inept when it came to social cues, sarcasm, and tone, eye contact made him inherently nervous but he was doing better. Every social situation was something of an experiment to him, while he couldn't gauge people's reactions very well, he did endeavor (and fail) to try and understand them at every turn. "Are you going to be fighting?" It would be a good opportunity for data analysis, The Eye's understanding of the archfiends was woefully small. Thanks to Eve they knew their weaknesses, but that was it.
"Morning," he nods at the vampire working on the clinic, even as his eyes wander around the room, trying to figure if he recognized anything from his time on the Eye's care. He doesn't quite recognize anything, but the airs on the back of his neck are still raised and part of him wonders what has his instincts going haywire. A bigger part of him admits that he likely smelled the vampire back on his time as an experiment and that is what has him on edge, despite everything. "I am mostly looking around, honestly. I got released from the Eye early this year, and I wanted to check the Clinic out before I actually needed it."
"Oh, well, do you want a check up while you're here?" The last of Kadir's scheduled patients had already filed out for the day, "It's quite boring in this lycan city, isn't it?" Sure, there was the fighting and the makeshift sports, but none of that was really all that interesting to him. If he wanted to watch lycans wrestling then he'd invite himself along to one of Romeo's little council meetings. "I promise I'm very thorough- efficient as well. Also qualified." Kadir had read the other's file, The Eye had information on everyone, but this one hadn't had it nearly as bad as others.
@authormax location: Lupercal Clinic notes: taking your temperature
Prior to donating some of his time to the clinic, Kadir had never given a tic treatment to a person before. Truthfully he'd never treated anyone for tics, or fleas, but there had been a lot of it. Apparently people could also get mange, but the lycan that walked in looked surprisingly put together, he didn't even smell like the others. "Hello," Kadir greeted brightly in characteristic candor, not quite looking Max in the eye but finding a point behind the lycan to fixate on instead. "what brings you in today?"

Where it felt like Ephraim was all brawn, Rawlins was more brains. Sure, he could fight, but it felt like his speciality was always more focused in the lab. That came to be even more noticeable when his ability manifested itself. He was still no slouch though. His brother and the Eye had made sure of that even at his young age. He looked up from what he was doing and gave Kadir a look. Friends by circumstance, they were. If that was even what they could call each other. Rawlins didn’t call people friends often. Anyway, the question that left the vampire’s mouth stopped his fingers from looking at the device that was usually attached to the back of his neck. He wanted it to do more hence it not being there at the moment. “It doesn’t matter.” His fingers moved pieces this way and that as he continued to speak. “I had to figure this out myself. When it manifested is inconsequential.”
"You're very good with it." Kadir remarked, "You must be very proud of yourself." Pride always had to come from within, at least that was the leech's experience. It didn't matter what he did or where he excelled, his parents had never expected anything of him, and when he did well it wasn't something that they really acknowledged. He thinks he's better than us, was what he heard most prevalently. So, after Kadir left he just never looked back. There was only forward, there was only the future. "What are you doing with it over there?"
