Kururuha-Art

Japanese artist. Apologies if my English sounds odd — I’m still learning. Mostly Gundam Wing. I love all five pilots, though I tend to draw 1 & 2 more often because I find them easier to draw. Fujoshi / multishipper, no fixed pairings. Ships I especially like: 1x2x1, 2x3, 3x4. I also enjoy Heero/Relena (1xR) and Duo/Hilde (2xH). I’m pretty open to most pairings and don’t really have any NOTPs.

Was listening to WHITE REFLECTION and felt like drawing Duo.

I tried to keep him a little closer to his original look this time.

And if I were posting this in my native-language mode:

一番好き、無理。もともと彼氏がスパロボやってたからソレ経由で知ったんだけど、W勢の戦闘時に後ろで流れるLAST_IMPRESSIONがぶっ刺さった。そこからずるずる落ちて行って、いまはヒイロとデュオに一番沼ってる。超好き。彼氏曰く、Wに刺さると思ってなかったらしいけどそんなのこっちだって予想外だが？？？？

Just-woke-up Heero. He hasn’t even finished brushing his teeth yet. That half-pulled-off sock? I like to think he wore them to keep his feet warm while he slept. I also made his hair a little messier than usual since he just woke up.

By the way, I’m getting pretty close to 100 total notes across my posts. So, since I’m almost there, I thought it’d be fun to draw Heero to celebrate—because, well… it’s “1”00.

The only problem is, I can’t decide what kind of Heero I should draw. So if you have any ideas—like “what about this kind of Heero?”—I’d be really happy to hear them.

Color really does change everything. I was only drawing Heero in his canon outfit, and somehow I still ended up wondering, “Am I really allowed to do this?”

Quatre:

Like Heero and Duo, Quatre was redesigned for Frontier S using his original design and color palette as the foundation.

His goggles allow him to maintain clear vision and continue working even in heavy rain or blowing sand and dust. Although he is capable of fighting, he mainly takes on defensive duties rather than offensive ones. His responsibilities include managing supplies, keeping watch over the surrounding area from observation towers, and installing motion sensors.

The oversized outer wrap, far too large for his slight frame, has many practical uses. He can use it as a cold-weather layer or a sheet, or wrap it around someone suffering from hypothermia. Because it is so large, he appears to have added a strap to keep it securely in place.

The belt hanging down on his right side was still attached to a piece of fabric used to patch a torn section of his clothing, so it was simply left there.

His clothes are kept comparatively clean so that the people he reaches out to will not feel uneasy or hesitant about accepting his help. His equipment may appear well maintained, but the fact that he only has a glove for his right hand suggests that he does not have much to spare either.

Quatre does not always travel with Heero and the others. He also works alongside members of the Maganac Corps from the original series, sharing food with people suffering from hunger and offering support to those struggling to survive from one day to the next.

In this world, the group led by Quatre is collectively known as the Maganacs.

Now that the three of them are lined up together, the contrast between Heero and Duo on one side and Quatre on the other is much easier to see.

That leaves Trowa and Wufei. I’d like to place Trowa alongside Quatre. Wufei would look great paired with someone as well, but he also has such a strong presence on his own that his full-body illustration may end up having a slightly different approach from the others.

Gundam Wing × Gunslinger Stratos crossover AU WIP designs for Heero and Duo on the Frontier Stratos / Frontier S side, one of the AU’s two opposing sides.

Heero: His design is based on his canon outfit and colors, adapted for survival in a ruined world. He carries two or three iron rods on his left leg. The left trouser leg is a different color because his original pants were torn, so he replaced the damaged section with part of another pair. The strap around his thigh serves both as a fastener for the replacement fabric and as a holster for the rods. The tape on his arms is used wherever there are not enough bandages. At night, he takes the hoodie from around his waist and wears it while he sleeps.

Duo: Like Heero, his design is based on his canon outfit and colors. He gave Heero his matching boots and part of his trousers, leaving himself with mismatched footwear and almost no protection on his right leg. Since they never know when they might be attacked, his braid is tied a little more loosely than in canon. Food is difficult to obtain in this world, so I drew his limbs just slightly thinner than usual.

Duo Maxwell — Frontier S AU / WIP

A rough design for my Gundam Wing × Gunslinger Stratos crossover AU.

His outfit is completely original. I kept only a few traces of his priest-inspired clothing and lightly adjusted his hairstyle to fit the Frontier S setting.

I’m trying to design not just “Duo in different clothes,” but a version of Duo whose appearance reflects the life he has lived in another world.

Still very rough, but I wanted to share the direction I’m taking. Comments and thoughts are welcome — I’d love to know which details catch your eye.
