Progress is going to go at a steady place, but slow. Now both Drax and Nuei are working full time so KTT will be mainly done on the weekends!

Hello! Development is not going as fast as we would like. Since Drax and Nuei are working full-time, only weekends are good for progress! Its going though! But slowly!

I really love the kagome kagome soundtrack at the beginning of the game. Where’s it from?

Thanks, we love it too! It's from a Japanese children's game, reminiscent of duck-duck-goose, where they sing that song while going around a circle and tagging a player to be "it" or in the case of the song, the Oni. In this case, the Oni sits in the middle, blindfolded, and all the kids go around him/her. Then when the song stops, the Oni needs to guess which of his friends his behind him/her. The arrange we use specifically for the game was made by McMangos!

Still nothing! We made great strides in progress during the summer, but now it's slower a bit. Rest assured, when we have a release date, we will blast the news everywhere! Sorry for the long wait!

Not yet! We are doing our best to release it this year! All the assets are definitely going to be finished soon, now it’s just a matter of programming what’s left. Some parts couldn’t be made with placeholders because Drax is very anal, so those are just now being programmed! We will make an update once we got a clear release date!

Hotaru, 7 seconds before getting arrested by the pun police. Long time no update, what with this meddlesome Life getting in the way. All the maps are officially done! Since this is a hub based/free roam game, that was necessary for Programming to get 100% steam, which it now is! All the remaining art assets (mainly CG’s and some Pixel Art) can be replaced by placeholders in the meantime. Drax has his stash of Redbull ready and already programmed the first day and night (out of 5 days and nights) as well as some individual, stand-alone scenes, and systems.  Nuei is chained to her desk drawing huuuh... lemme see.

A book, apparently! (Hopefully, she won’t find out I snapped a pic with her yucky husk of a snack displayed) And Emevi is cranking out pixels like an out of control pixel machine! They even updated Inko’s sprite to make her even more kawaii desu nyan!

hi! you've mentioned in your last few responses that you aim to complete the game by the end of the year; do you mean sometime this summer, or do you mean by the actual end of the year--that is, next december?

Heya! We mean by the literal end of the year, since we are going to be boosting the development during summer!

It's not pushy at all! Right now we are working on the Cameo Portraits for the OCs (from the contest we had last year). Next come finishing some (most) CGs and pixel art!

Sure thing, any theme is allowed! Go for it! But maybe it's best to, if you do portray sensitive themes, post the piece on your own blog and tag us instead of submitting. That way we can reblog with only a link to your entry and the proper content warnings!

Why would you do a fanart contest between Yume Nikki and your project? I understand that crossovers are fun, but isn’t your project vastly different from what Yume Nikki did?

Yes, Kago to Torii's premise and genre has nothing to do with Yume Nikki! But, like you said, crossovers are fun, especially crossovers of something we enjoy! It's also a chance to engage with our followers by promoting a contest and a prize!

Heya people!

We don't know about you, but we here at Ktt & Sons© love us some Yume Nikki! So obviously we are super hyped for the newly announced 3D remake, YUMENIKKI - DreamDiary- !

So in order to spread the gospel of Uboa (and because we crave the sweet sweet fanart), we are promoting a Yume Nikki X KagoToTorii fanart contest!

If you submit a piece of fanart featuring a Yume Nikki and KTT element, you get a chance to win a copy of YUMENIKKI - DREAM DIARY -! You can either submit it here or post it on your blog and tag us!

That's basically the only rule! It can be a KTT character on a YN setting (or vice versa), or characters from each game interacting. Heck, slap some poop on top of Hotaru's head and call it an effect, we'll take it!

The deadline is February 27, midnight GMT! The winner will be announced the following day, just in time for the release of the game! Please keep in mind that you need to have a Steam account to receive the game!
