i used to be opposed to the idea of permanency on my skin and i always thought having a tattoo was too strong of a commitment, but the love and power shared between my big sister and I is forever permanent and I am most committed to her than anyone else on this world. Our elephants symbolize strength, wisdom and commitment ( and plus my dad has an elephant tattoo as well) the elephant’s eye is the Egyptian Eye of Horus symbolizing protection, power and health while the leg of my elephant reads in latin “Know thy self”, my sister’s reads “Love thy self” the ear of my sister’s elephant reads my number and date of my birth “12” while i have her’s (23) in mine. of course i have the deathly hallows symbol for very obvious reasons while my sister has the om sign. Here’s to us sister’s holding on to what we believe in, bettering our world and having a great time doing it <3
