Minji had been laying on her bed, stretched out, hand tracing over her stomach, drawing absent shapes as she thought mindless numb thoughts. She was bored. Completely done with everything that mattered. God knows she didn’t need to practice anymore. Things were dull enough, the library only seemed a horrible alternative to the bland expanse of a room she shared. Her vision however, shifted, looking over to her roommate’s side of the space, an idea slowly blossoming in her mind as she sat up and hummed happily. Now that... would do nicely.
She stood, sliding to her shoes and headed out, eyes searching her surroundings like a hunter stalking her prey. She didn’t stop until she saw him, eyes lighting up as she slowed to a stop, slowly taking in his form.

ooc: about minji’s egg
SO! Message me if you want to plot a thread with personality adjusted Minji!
We have some time with this. It won’t apply to already ongoing threads, but I’d love to get some new threads with her being 180′d.
As you go through the books on the shelves in the library you notice a faint glow in between two books. Your curiosity gets to the better of you and you decide to investigate. An egg appears before you and after a lot of hesitation you decide to open it. Your vision fades to white and when you finally regain your sight something feels off. You no longer like the things you used to. You no longer want to stay quiet. Your entire personality seems different. (Personality-Swap Egg)
Minji had gone into the library to hide, she’d been hounded to get out and do something all day and she didn’t feel like dealing with anyone at all. She’d had her fare share of social interaction during lessons. Finding the egg, she grumbled softly. It didn’t take long however for her to open the egg. When her field of vision began changing she began to panic and curled up, whining. But when she came back to, she raised an eyebrow.
Why was she on the floor, and god forbid, in the library of all places. Her eyes widened at she held up the egg, glaring at it. “you did this to me! Do you even know who I am!?” She shouted at it, and left its open pieces on the table as she stalked from the building, garnering a glare from the librarian. She had to get back to her room. Perhaps she could find something to do about it.

&&. WITH A SOFT smile, she handed over a small carton of milk over to minji while jitae went up for his turn to practice. usually, jitae is someone that eunseol gave her undivided attention to when it came to training. she had always admired him from the start, even forming a little favoritism to him and the way he used his quirk in comparison to others. however, minji really stole her attention today. mutant type quirks didn’t differ from transformation quirks as much they could in eunseol’s opinion, but the way that minji used her whole body to combat while eunseol’s only used to her arm urges a bit of curiosity in eunseol.
❛ help yourself, sunbae.. ❜ she said, returning her shyness. minji was definitely a mystery to her. she was beautiful with such a different quirk, yet she was so reserved. knowing how reserved she was, she was happy that minji took on the offer for the milk, especially since it really helped to refresh after using any sort of quirk.
She opened the carton, humming softly as her eyes were distracted for a moment as Jitae stepped forward. He would make a wonderful Hero... while Minji was just happy she’d been able to fully control her quirk during their practice. She looked back down at the milk and smiled softly as she took a sip, the cool liquid streaming through her as she nodded gently. “Thank you, Eunseol-ah... I didn’t realize that I needed this..”
She tipped her head to the side as she looked at the younger student, a little smile on her lips. “You did great today.. while practicing..”She felt her mouth already slightly dry from the extra conversation and she took another sip, looking downward with a blush growing on her cheeks.
Overwhelmed | Jitae/Minji
Everything was happening so fast but in that moment, Jitae was sure that everything was moving in slow motion. There was a part of him that panicked and wondered if he would be able to get to Minji in time and wondered if she was safe. What if during the time it took for him to get there and set the car on fire, someone had found her? What if she was in trouble?
If that was the case, then probably calling out to her like this was stupid and Jitae was about to get his ass jumped, so he prepared himself a little for the possibility of a sudden attack.
But then, he heard her voice and he let out a sigh of relief that he didn’t realize he had been holding. “Minji,” he said, a smile on his face, his voice still low just in case and was relieved to see that she wasn’t hurt.
Of course, the urgency and frightened look in her eyes were clear to see, and he was sure this was because of the situation and not because of any danger that she was in before he got there (besides the obvious) and he made a note to ask her about it when they were safely back on campus.
He headed where she began to push him, knowing there wasn’t really any point in hanging around there, especially since, by the looks of it, Minji had gotten a hold of the envelope she had been after. He nodded and reached for Minji’s hand as he led the way out, wanting to make sure she was close by and safe since his back would be to her and once they were safely outside and a good distance away from the building, he let out a sigh of relief and let go of her hand.
“Jeez, this was not how I imagined I would be spending my night,” he said, turning to look at her with a smile on his face. “Come on, lets go back to campus and we’ll get you some tea after we drop off the contents, okay? Don’t worry Minji, you’re safe now. Lets not hang around here any longer and get back.”
Minji continued poking at him until they’re outside, and the door is shut between them and the room where the villains are returning. She exhales and tries desperately not to lean into him, her body humming with excitement and a deep seeded terror. There had been so many of them there. What had that many villains been hiding? She was tempted to look in the documents she’d picked up, but decided against it. It would only encourage her to further her hero career.
When they got far enough away, she felt him let go of her, and she peered up at him, sighing as well as she rubbed her face. “That was almost terrible.” She grumbled softly and half leaning against him. She realize quickly what she’d done, instinctively leaning into the warmth. She shivered as she pulled away and rubbed her face again, hands running through her hair. “I... I can’t...” She shook her head, unable to finish her words, and she looked up into his face. Tea sounded wonderful, and so did finishing this mission. She had made the decision. If this was what a hero was required to do, she wasn’t about to jump into it headfirst.
“Tea... yes. That sounds great.” She stretched, and closed her eyes for a moment, listening to the sounds inside the building. it seemed that they’d settled down enough to go back to whatever they’d been doing before, and she sighed, nodding to Jitae. “We’re good to go.” She turned her back on the building and followed him as they headed back to the Academy. Her mission was a success, but it was tiring, and she wanted nothing more than to be done with it.

Overwhelmed | Jitae/Minji
Jitae was on the brink of passing out and falling asleep but the sudden vibration of his phone snapped him out of the sleep that had overcame him. Grabbing the device, he saw that his fellow squad member Minji had sent him a message. She was a sweet girl and rather shy and timid and they barely spoke, if they ever really even did so seeing her name on his screen made him curious as to why the girl was drawing his attention now.
Opening up the messages, the blank expression on his face slowly turned into a frown as he read the contents within. A mission. Right, he knew that Minji was supposed to go on a mission, it was supposed to be a simple one which was why she was sent off on her own, but there was no reason that villains should be there, let alone that many, which meant that the document that Minji was sent to receive must be very valuable to them as well.
He jumped out of bed, not really caring about his physical appearance in that moment as he quickly shot her a text back.
[>>Minji] Hang in there Minji, I’m on my way
[>>Minji] I’ll distract them by starting a fire and drawing them away so watch for it
[>>Minji] When they go, grab the document you need and I’ll meet you inside and we’ll disappear
Jitae looked at the location once more and saw it would be at least a ten minute walk from here and he could take a cab, but that would draw too much obvious attention to him so he would have to settle for running and hoping that he would get there before Minji was discovered.
Of course, it didn’t take as long as it would have since Jitae had run and he had arrived to see the figures in the darkness moving around and he knew very well that they were still looking for something and they likely hadn’t discovered Minji yet. This was good, of course.
Quietly and slowly, he moved the furthest away he could so it would allow Minji enough time to be able to do what she needed to do and for him to get in and get her (and himself) out in one piece and without being discovered. When he was satisfied with his location, he saw a car nearby. He didn’t know who it belonged to and a part of him felt guilty for the idea that came to mind, but it was better the car than Minji and so, without another thought, he set the car on fire, causing it to explode and ran as far as he could to try and wait for the villains to run outside before slipping inside.
“Minji?” he whispered, hoping that with all the commotion outside, he would still be able to hear her. “Minji, where are you?”
Minji had been curled up in the closet, phone clutched tight in her hand that when the return messages came in, she nearly dropped the thing. She scrolled the messages and nearly sobbed in relief. She wouldn’t be alone. It’d just take a little bit before her squadmate would be there... She took deep slow breaths, closing her eyes as she focused, just listening, letting the unimportant sounds filter out, and listening to the sounds for any possibility that he was there.
It seemed like years later, the time ticking by slowly as she listened, trying desperately to ignore the close sounds of people searching. This would be so much cooler if they weren’t looking for me. She quoted a favorite video game and exhaled slowly, but then, she heard it. She knew he was there by the loud explosion, and she closed her eyes as she took a breath, planning on doing exactly as he said, she waited for the footsteps to recede through the corridor, and she listened for a few more seconds, and slipped out, hurrying to where she knew the safe was.
She closed her eyes and let herself focus once again, her hearing picking up the clicks of the cogs as she turned it, waiting for the hammers to settle before she turned the handle and opened the safe, pulling the papers out. She set in a fake file before shutting it and spinning the dial, folding the papers and tucking them away as she hurried to leave the room. She hadn’t made it quite to the doorway when she heard the voice behind her, and she froze, until she realized that it was Jitae. Her eyes widened and she hurried to him, whining softly under her breath as she reached out for him.
“We’ve got to go. Now...” She hoped her eyes showed the urgency she felt, her entire body was buzzing as she poked him back the way he’d come. “Outside... easier to hide out there...” She gasped, and pushed a little harder, her quiet voice now even a little harsh. “Go. They’re coming back!”

“older trashbag”
his expression only remaining indifferent as the moment he had walked into their dorm. he was busy adjusting himself on the couch to notice the resistance in her voice, after while when the silence had hit their dorm room jin sits up properly, regaining his composure. it was as if the monstrosity the coated itself with a faux layer of serenity had shattered into an overwhelming sphere of destruction. his own wellbeing being the centre of his rage and his rage being the triton that he held in his grips. a hand moves up to gently rub at his temple, a sigh leaving him. his voice calming down, only to replicate the serenity he had lost prior.
❝ are you sure? ❞ ❝ i can still go grab you something? ❞
his gaze returning to her, a smile this time. no wrinkles, no frowns, no angry lines. jin knew his room mate, perhaps not well enough to call her his best friend, but good enough to know how to better himself in order to make her feel more safe and at home - at least to him, anyway.
he tried hard to remain gentle, soft spoken, and easy going but no matter what he did he always found her to be too… timid. a part of him wanted to give her the drive, the adrenaline that she missed or perhaps never got, he wanted to give her a purpose to enjoy striking an opponent down and watch as their life source was sucked out of them, like the last breath they took before their eyes went dull and how their would stop chest rising as the light died out. perhaps this description would do more harm than good, it was too extreme even for him!
❝ oh, nice book.❞ ❝ what are you reading?❞
Minji felt her eyes widen and she watched him as he took a deep breath in, and watching him turn to her, it was like a completely different person stood there looking at her. He turned the angry off... She blinked, once.. twice, before shaking her head. "Nope... no, I'm just fine. Really." She was quickly becoming overwhelmed by his attention, but she was glad he’d somehow calmed himself. She looked up at him, a little smile on her lips, a little relief written there as well.
She looked down at the book for a moment and blushed, not really knowing what to say as she curled herself together just a little bit more, somehow feeling a little lost as he continued to pay attention to her. She bit her lip and shrugged. "Oh... It's called Lady Knight.." She grinned a little bit. "It's part of a series. Called Protector of the Small.. they're so good..."
