12.29.13 Chez Maman with Eric

Eric and I didn't have lunch yet so around 3pm, when we finished, we went to chez maman. When he first helped me move in, we got chez maman, and now that' i'm all moved out, we're getting it again. Best burger every. Also, I got beef tartare. yum.

We were pretty full after, and I drove home and dropped eric off and then went home to relax.

I swung by Bryan's place and we hung out for a bit then I went home.

12.29.13 Final Day of Moving Out

I fell asleep on the couch and woke up fairly early. I started moving some stuff to my car and a bag with glassware broke in the hallway. I had no vacuum and no tape. I ended up picking up the glassware by hand thinking, I'm just waiting to get cut. Play with broken glass and you're bound to get cut. Sure enough, I got cut 3 times. I ended up finding some tape and using that for the rest.

I drove home, and got my aunt's car. Drove eric up with me and I returned my keys, finished packing, vacuumed the place, and loaded up the car. I also retired my pedobear costume.

I took some farewell pictures with my roommie. Then left for good.

12.28.13 More "Packing"

In the morning / afternoon, I spend the day with my family again. We had dim sum and then I had a chat with my cousins at my aunt's house. Told them all about my love life, or lack of one.

Then in the evening, I went out to play with Charissa. She picked me up from my apartment, and then we went to japantown and walked around all the stores. Then we got in line for korean bbq, but the line was super long, so we went back out and walked around some more and took some pictures. Then we went to the cafe next door and played jenga and she ordered a latte and i had some and burned my tongue.

We were finally called before we finished our game of jenga :( We ate dinner which was yummy, and then we went back to inner sunset and each ordered a tom collins. Had a few drinks, went for a walk, offered my jacket because it was cold, and then found some "snow", which was really foam. We returned to my place and then hung out and sobered up. We talked for a while, and then called it a night. I walked her to her car, and sent her home.

12.23.13 - 12.27.13 Tahoe With Family

The snow was super terrible so we ended up not going skiing / snowboarding at all. It was too icy. Anyway, instead we stayed in, talked, played board games, played in the "snow" in the backyard. Hung out with the niece. We all ended up playing candy crush. Epic sadness. It was super pathetic. Sigh.

We also watched lord of the rings 1 and 2 extended versions. I had many many beers that I was trying to kill off. We attempted a puzzle but failed due to missing pieces. I binge ate, eating like 5 meals a day (when I used to only eat one). We took family photos, played mahjjong, and just hung out. Family time <3 <3 <3

One of the days, we went out to circus circus again, and I played craps. I lost 20 bucks. Then I went to play black jack, and I lost some more money, and then hit 3 or 4 black jacks within like 6 hands, and then I was up 6 ish dollars, so I called it quits. Ended up losing 14 dollars total. Sigh. I hate gambling.

12.23.13 Dinner at Circus Circus Steakhouse

We get to circus circus, and we get seated at dinner. The food looks fancy, and the wine was good. The cuts of steak was good, but honestly, they over cook their meats. I sent my cousin's medium rare back because it was medium well. and the waiter gave us attitude. back handed comments like, "it's medium rare, but we can send it back if you want"...

Anyway, it was a long evening. I showed my first cousin once removed (i'm just going to call her my niece), some magic tricks. she's only a few years old so can't show her anything to complicated or she might not know what's going on.

My uncle started trying to become the wise uncle and provided us with some life lessons. Trying to get us to recognize our own strengths and weaknesses and asked us what ours were.

I had like 3 glasses of wine early on dinner. I was completely okay by the end of dinner, since dinner was pretty long, and i had the wine with food. Anyway, my aunt insisted I didn't drive, and that she drove... it was her car so whatever. However, she drove super slow and was constantly swerving into the shoulder and other lanes. She didn't have any alcohol, just her eye sight isn't great at night. However, it was super dangerous... even at slower speeds.

12.23.13 More family drama

Before the other families get to tahoe, there is more family drama. My family forgot some stuff and we asked my aunt(s) to stop by our house and grab some stuff. One of my aunts was supposed to also let the dog out IN THE MORNING... because my dog wakes up early (5:30amish, and is usually antsy by 6:30am). Well... my aunt didn't make it to our house until closer to 11am, which is ridiculously late. They were frustrated that they couldn't find some stuff in our house due to the mess :(

Anyway, they were running super super late. They didn't leave until like 2pm? The other family arrived and got settled in. We had a reservation at night for 7pm. The family running late was running LATE, and they were pissed that we were rushing them on the phone / checking up.

Anyway, we push the reservation back, they get in, and we all head out.

12.22.13 Unload the Car

I spent most of the day unloading the car with my family, and then we decided we were driving up to Tahoe due to some family drama. My aunt booked an extra day at the cabin because initially 3 families said they'd go up a day early, my family included. However at the very last minute, one of the families canceled and my mother didn't want to go a day early, so only my aunt's family was going up. She was livid. Thus, we decided to pack our stuff and go.

I drive us to Tahoe, which was a fairly quiet ride because my mother was angry that we were going up a day early. She decided to sleep and not backseat drive. Which was nice, allowing me to drive at slightly faster speeds. There was very little snow in Tahoe when we got there. We stopped in truckee to get some groceries for dinner then we headed back to soda springs where the cabin was.

My brother and I both had a screw driver and pizza. We fed my cousins too. I set up my desktop to get some work done... since my laptop broke.

12.21.13 Long Day

So bright and early around 6:30am, I dropped Kristen off at the airport. Then I went home and slept some more. Esther and Jason woke up around 12ish and we went to get pho.

After pho, I saw them off and I cleaned the fat mess. haha. It took the whole day. I packed some more and went to innout again then drove home.

On the way home, I was low on gas and took an exit and couldn't find gas for a while. How annoying. I finally found a gas station in the middle of no where, filled up a bit, and then made it home.

12.20.13 Party Time

I spent the morning running a few errands and relaxing and planning. I went to philz coffee and wrote a letter. I stopped in target to get name tags, chips and party cups. In the evening, I picked up Kristen who was running late. Which made me very anxious because I was on a schedule. I was a bit unhappy which made for an uncomfortable ride... because I borrowed my aunt's car which did not have a radio.

Well, we drove up, and I ordered bevmo one hour pick up. They were a bit slow, but I got my stuff and then got back to my apt. Kristen had to work on her new lease, and I had to clean and get ready. I ordered pizza.

When everything was settled, I felt a lot better. Lily, Crystal, Camille, Joyce, Vivian, Jasmin, Eric, Esther, Kristen, Charissa, Christi, Scott, Brent, Jason, and Killian showed up. We just socialized to some boy band music. Played beer pong. Charissa was my bp partner and we won the first round but lost the second. We also played rage cage. We drank until 3ish, and then Esther and Jason came back (they stepped out for another bday), and people came and went and then around 4ish we called it a night.

12.20.13 Rushed to Innout

I got really hungry at night because I didn't eat dinner. Thus, I rushed over to innout 5 minutes before close... sorry workers! Then gobbled my food, and drove back to Cupertino!

12.19.13 Cookies!

In SF, I did a lot of cleaning... took a break, then cleaned some more. Then in the evening, I walked to 22nd and irving and bought a dozen eggs and then muni-ed to embarcadero and then took bart to san leandro area to go to lily's place. I met her at the dollar store and then we went back to her place and played dominoes and then we played pictionary. Shortly after that, Crystal and Meena came by and we made cookies. Kevin home shortly and then we finished making cookies and then played dirty minds... boys vs girls, with drinking of course. I had like 5 shots of whiskey.

In the evening, the ladies gave me a ride back to the bart station and I barted back to SF.

I packed some more and then chatted with leslie for a bit.

12.18.13 Freebirds!

In the morning, I loaded up the car again, and then drove home to eat lunch with my brother. I met him for a slightly late lunch around 1ish, and it was packed.

I had freebirds once at the santa barbra location and it was really good. I was severely disappointed by this location. The food wasn't super substantial. To me this is like five guys vs innout (when comparing freebirds vs chipotle). It's americanized mexican food, but they give you all these random toppings to load up on. I much prefer something a bit more simple. The quality of meat wasn't great. Boo. By brother left a bit early to go to work. I went home and started unloading stuff.

In the evening, I drove to Esther's place and ended up hitting all the red lights. I also left my camera there, and so I went home and got it... then hit all the reds on round two.... and realized I forgot something else. So I called my brother to drop it off. Luckily he hit all the greens. After drinking red wine at Esther's place, I drove back to SF. I didn't make it. I pulled over in San Mateo and took a 30 minute nap.

12.17.13 Home!

I returned home in the morning to move stuff back and clean my room. This whole week will be like that. My mother asked if my brother and I wanted to get dinner and I said okay, but my brother was busy.

In the afternoon, I borrow my aunt's minivan so i can move furniture home. Then in the evening, I ended up meeting up with my mom for dinner at a shanghai restaurant nearby.

I ate dinner with my mother, and she proceeded to talk with the owners and then we went home. I then drove back up to SF and spent the night there.

12.16.13 Case of Good Mondays

I ended up taking a nap for a while, and then in the evening I went out with Charissa. We were going on a food adventure. Started out with Golden Boy Pizza and had clam pizza. It was spicy.

Then went to Sotto Mare, and had some drinks, clam chowder, and oyster shooters! When they were closing, they played a song called Alice, which was a lot of fun. "Who the fuck is alice!?" (Alice - Gompie).

Then after, we walked around and found a store with a lot of lights and it was Alimento! Charissa got Gelato, and I just mooched off hers. Next door was a bakery and she bought some cannolis for us to try, before we went to Caffee Greco. Where we got more dessert. Better cannolis and their Sacripantina (vanilla cake with coffee / amaretto cream).

haha, pretty full after that, and we didn't finish. We found out way back to the car, Charissa drove us home, while we talked. Then we ended up at blackthorn to end our night with both our favourite drinks, Tom Collins.

After this drink, we called it a night.

12.16.13 Mondayy

I slept in today, and then when I woke up, I went to buy envelopes from a store. The USPS line was ridiculous, so I just mailed some mail from home. Then I am now updating the blog, and maybe will look at killian's photos.

Oh I had a bagel for lunch. haha (: I was going to get mexican, but decided against it because I wasn't super hungry.

12.15.13 Melting Pot with Kristen

I went to hangout with Kristen in the evening. We went to The Melting Pot which she bought a groupon / living social thing to. It was all you can eat! I really enjoyed it. Then she surprised me with presents at the end. Awww It was a super sweet present. It was a photobook thingy with memories of just the journey we've been on!

After, we returned to her place and watched Love Actually. Sigh. It was good as ever. After the movie, she played some guitar for me, and then we called it a night. I drove home but wasn't super tired, and so I packed at drove up to SF at like 4AM!

12.15.13 Home and Back

In the morning, I got a call from the girls downstairs asking if our car was blocking the driveway. It was not, so they towed it. haha. but this was at like 6am. I worked on some of killian's pictures and waited for jam to wake up.

Jam finally climbed out of bed and I packed some stuff, and we drove back to Cupertino. When I dropped jam off, I played with lexi for a bit and then drove home and hungout with my dog. I watched chiefs vs oakland and drifted off to sleep. I ate potstickers for lunch since I was too lazy to go out and get pho.

I slept most of the afternoon away. I did get up to cut my nails and hang out outside with my dog for a bit.
