drew this at 2am last night when I couldn’t sleep — idea from the original with Mob Psycho!! Ignore how bad it is that was on purpose and bc it was 2am
Tried something different with the coloring but it didn't really work out...
paused my re read to make some furin first year 4 memes because i love them
cheap finds
i like how the fandom was like “surely class 1-1 should have spoken to umemiya/hiragi/a senpai before going to bankoku-gai! the seniors will have a much more reliable plan” and then we cut to umemiya and hiragi straight up infiltrating the place. illegally
Endo's mysterious criminal empire continues to be the funniest plot point in this manga. He's eighteen at best who gave this edgy teenager the reins of a criminal organization. I mean, they should keep doing that because it's very funny. But still.
ah yes my favorite video game, cooking mamajikawa
God, Momijikawa is really crushing me in this chapter.
The way he's so calm and confident in the way he handles Sakura's depression, how he doesn't even waver when Sakura goes quiet and listless and unresponsive, ignoring even his favorite food that he'd normally be over the moon about -- the way Momijikawa is able to act so normal and just quietly provide Sakura with whatever he needs, because Momijikawa spent so much time taking care of his grandmother when she wasn't well that at this point, caring comes naturally to him. It's the way that he doesn't hesitate to compare his own situation to Sakura's, even though Suou is still alive and, objectively, Momijikawa has lost so much more, because you know what? Sometimes, it does feel the same. Sometimes, we do lose people because of falling outs or petty family disputes or a million other reasons besides death, and having to mourn the loss of someone who you loved, who you thought would be a part of your life forever, doesn't hurt any less just because they're choosing to be absent from your life.
On the one hand, I'm so, so glad that Sakura has someone so warm and kind and mature in his corner while he's going through something like this, but at the same time, the reminder that Momijikawa earned that maturity by enduring more loss than any child his age should ever experience is kind of destroying me a little bit.
crazy framing. facing the closest thing to suo you have as you decide if you wanna see him again
momijikawa appreciation post (bc it's not everyday that we get to see him so much)
the perfect man
*coughs blood* great chapter 👍
Spoken like a true childhood friend lmao
GUYS. GUYS
I'm watching Windbreaker with the english dub for the first time, and it's my first rewatch of season 1 in a while, so i totally missed this, BUT
In chapter 3, when Ume interrupts the first Saku Sugi fight, he says, verbatim through the intercom:
"Some advie: you better enjoy your youth. High school is the last passion of being a kid. Get out there and make memories. Live a meaningful life. Take a trip to beach, or the mountains or something"
And then IT PANS TO SUO AND WE GET ONE OF HIS VERY FEW INTERNAL MONOLOGUES, AND HE THINKS:
"Interesting... I really couldn't care less"
My boy. My sweet baby boy, who's secretly a high ranked member and responsible for a massive gang in a neighboring city. Of course he'd think 'this has nothing to do with me' when someone in a position of power TALKS ABOUT BEING A KID AND ENJOYING LIFE.
I can't believe how foreshadowed everything was, from the VERY BEGINING.
